OMG! I raised my half Chinese daughter in Chico. Everyone will be happy to know that a TSA agent at the San Francisco Airport stopped my daughter and I and asked my daughter to confirm her name. (We had just flown from China. We had been visiting her Chinese 1/2 of the family.) I think the agent thought I might be trafficking my daughter, because she doesn't look like me. At least one man at the San Francisco Airport cared! We need many, many more people like that.

      Exploring Dimensions 4 All
It would be incredibly helpful if you sent word of your experience to the TSA @ San Francisco Int’l Airport... and to the HQ of the TSA in DC.
More TSA agents should be doing this.
As I typed those words, I realized that many children and teens )male and female) Will fall silent or even parrot the lie forewarned by the handler bringing them into the country... I ‘m sure many are told
if they don’t keep their mouth shut they will “pay for it”.
However if I can easily foresee this obstacle then a task force should see it as well and every airport should have individuals w/ training that enables them to suss out any situations that seem “fishy”
You are a wonderful & rare person: Rather then taking umbrage at the TSA agent’s thoroughness (as many would) you thought “this person is concerned that my daughter is safe”
God bless you and your daughter 😊

Our chance to use the social media for something of real depth and value, rather than being used against humanity - saving peoples lives is HUGE. I am pleased to see it waking up to the depths it is. Used to be unspoken of - now people are sharing their experiences, proving it's existence.
I pray more people report it going on around them, - put those smart phones to good use- if we see signs-so we can all pray and help connect dots. God bless the family fighting the good fight. Father thank you for forgiving our sins, and cleansing our hearts. Thank you for enabling us to fulfill our callings, with Godly success. Lord help us protect the vulnerable and innocent. Guide us and protect us, and keep us - make us more like you, Holy Father. Asking this in Jesus' name.

Sometimes people grabs another person's phone and hit the up thumb without the person knowing about it so the count shouldn't be considered because it's not the majority that always win but the few that do listen are perhaps sufficient to bring about proper changes.

Slavery is a satanic practice, and being soft on it, is enabling it, that makes us part of the problem. I am not a victim nor a survivor of human trafficking but I have a passion to abolish it. I was in eighth grade (I think) when I first heard a survivor's story. After Christine Cane shared her story at my church, I was moved to do my own depth research on the epidemic. I was distraught and hated how prevalent the issue is still in modern society. So, every speech and almost every paper that I did in school was on human trafficking. Even in my second year at college, I have done 3 speeches on the topic and 4 or 5 papers on human trafficking. I like to say that I'm playing a role in bringing awareness to my communities but it doesn't seem to be enough. Praying and donating to certain organizations is fine but I'm more action-oriented when it comes to things like this.

The laws and policies need to be changed. ICE needs to prosecute, detain/jail; and deport criminal illegals and never let them back in under a penalty of 25 years in federal prison. There is no leadership or law enforcement regarding trafficking and this needs to change. Enable law enforcement. Enforce immigration laws or this is just worthless talk that enables the traffickers and bolsters the political careers of worthless speakers. Advocacy is Lame. Effective law enforcement works. Notice that most trafficking happens in Sanctuary Cities that are magnets for criminals. Yet libs won't abolish SC's for the sake of their political careers. So, the problem persists therefore.

I was part of a ministry that visited those spas. Cameras right outside, and you have to buzz in. One parlor took like 2 months just for the girls to open the doors for us. It takes time for them to trust you. Sadly Covid hit and our school didn't allow us to do it anymore. Well any in person ministry, we do everything over Zoom. They are dressed as if they were going clubbing or in very short shorts. They rotate the girls because we didn't see some for a while and when we ask about them the girls get nervous. One finally let us in and when you ask simple questions they freeze. One time they didn't open and there was this man that was working on construction on some building. He jokingly told us that if we're looking for our husband he will be in there. So people know it is not a real massage. Another one has male customers late at night like you said. My friends saw the owner buying tons of boxes of condoms at Costco. A female friend tried to get a massage there as a way to be able to talk to the girls. But the owner kicked her out. They only want male customers. People report them but nothing happens. So sad.

I happened to glance up and noticed a man watching her. It was way beyond just a general glance he was constantly watching, and no matter how I tried to move her out of his line of vision the more he tried to watch her. I have never gripped my child’s hand so hard, she actually told me I was hurting her. My husband was with my sons at the time cueing for a ride. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. On my husband‘a return I told him. He grabbed my daughter hid her from view and moved to confront the guy after taking his picture . The guy moved off very quickly but my husband lost him in the crowd. We reportedly the incident to security and were told that it happens often 🥺. We were in a foreign country having taken our children on a once in a lifetime trip half way around the world. My husband did not let go of her the hand for the rest of the time in the park, but I was constantly looking over my shoulder and felt sick to my stomach. She could have been taken from us so easily.

after watching this, i took a few minutes to think and try to put myself in the shoes of different kind of slaves. i played the role in my head, but i kept having questions like "why wouldn't i take that occasion to run away?" or "why wouldn't i straight up refuse and fight back even if it means death?" and as i go deeper in the story to find answers, i realize that i can't even begin to understand the kind of feeling and trauma those people experience.
this both makes me angry and sad, especially when i know for a fact that i will barely change my behaviors, and will probably forget about it by the end of the month. i both want to kill people and kill myself, when i put my thoughts into it, it feels so wrong for such a world to even exist and worse to live in it. and next time i wake up, this will just be a piece of information lying around somewhere in my memory.

You are taught to not value yourself and that you are not worth fighting for. They break your spirit, erase even the memory of hope. You forget you can run away or why you should even do so

Cyprien Guilbard. Here is your answer.
The ''best' way to conceal the abuse of women is to deny it or better still, to somehow find the means to deny it by quoting religious texts. Often even claiming that the text in question does not say this or that. Yet women, who live by the text in every other way, still choose to behave/dress in an oppressive way. In which case, just because something does not appear in the text, the odd choice of behaviour in clothing etc. can not be divorced from the text when the female concerned breathes the text from every pore of her being. Unfortunately, denials and rationalisations remain strong tactics that prevent radical changes. And one can have a million campaigners campaigning for chance - if the perpetrators of crime against women and the women who offend collude with their oppressors continue to deny there is a problem, there is not much that can be done for them. Changing a culture is well-nigh impossible. And to change an age-old religious culture from within - that would require nothing short of a miracle. If one believes in those.

Please don't hurt yourself. You obviously care, and we need more and more people who care. Every little bit of compassion in the world has a knock-on affect, even if you can't see it. The people you're kind to will be kinder to others, and it spreads. I genuinely believe the world is getting better, and we need as many people contributing to that as possible.

Even if you don't take drastic action, this information in your memory will serve as a reminder to live with kindness and compassion. By educating yourself you've already made a difference. Thank you

Cyprien Guilbard, this information will make you more knowledgeable about what is really going on in the cruel dark world. Perhaps, you grow-up in a good community, a centuries-created ideal world formed by heroes of the past and would have never imagined that this kind of atrocities that your forefathers fought against are still somewhere around the corner of the globe still existing. As you go on with your life, armed with such knowledge and a millimeter-less naive, then, perhaps, this will make you a better person.

This is enlightening in that I thought the prostitution aspect was the only trafficking situation. I had no idea there were slaves being used on farms, in industries, and in nail salons. Good eye opener.

Fun fact: that idea happened recently in human history; for millennia, slavery lived as an aspect of human civilisation. It took that long for those values to perpetuate to a global scale.

To those who don't understand why these people don't run away, fight back, even if it means death - as she quoted, the younger someone is, the easier to manipulate and break into submission. I was almost taken as a kid. My friend was almost taken, as a kid. The what ifs of those incidents alone made both of us very wary of people and scarred mentally. There are stories amongst your friends too, most likely, that you never heard and connects to this issue. It's that huge of a problem and people close their eyes over it, which is sad.
As others said, it is saddening how this doesn't get more views - whilst people click on news about some celebrities... the human ignorance is huge.

This reminds me of a father in Detroit. His daughter and her friend went missing for a week. He went to the police went looking for her anywhere he might see her. Then a friend of his told him where he could find his child. So he went there acted like a John and when he found her he beat the man into a coma. She was in a basement in his neighborhood with 5 other girl from 13 to 17. His daughter was 15. He got her to the hospital and they found 3 different drugs in her system, 4 different STDs and had a broken nose and more.
After hearing that on the news, They also said The father would be charged with attempted murder assault with the intent to kill and a B and E. The home owners the guy whom did all this to these girls got probation for wrongful detention of a minor.
That was 20 years ago. I don't know if the father went to jail but I would have been sent to prison even if it wasn't my child. Keep your kids close to you.

In Australia we force European Youth backpackers to work on farms to receive their second year working holiday visa. Many of which are mistreated working on rural farms in the middle of nowhere.

    • @patriceortovent3337

Beautiful Awakening Correctly said. Even worst, the money they get is well below the minimum wage expected by law in Australia. Exploitation organised by the state to support the farming business and their owners. The have exploiting the have not who, due to various circonstances come to Australia on a one year visa are the target for exploitation for their potential labour. In the meantime, a wealthy citizen from anywhere can buy his/her way in for years without having to go through this circus organised and administered by the state. The concept of slavery lingers in people’s mind at any time in history. Most people like to be served no sooner they have extra money to spend. The service industry world wide is the main source of jobs availability these days, to call it a job is not right, it is a form of well organised slavery to service those who have enough money to be served like the nobles and aristocrats during the feudal time. We, humans have a long way to go before we can call ourselves civilised and progressive towards a true humanity.

You are conflating unfair choices with slavery. All this does is devalue the plight of real slaves. These migrant workers even "must have" a plane ticket already purchased to return home and funds to support themselves. The fact they have a deal that they don't like, they can leave it any time.

    • @tanyabrown9839
      @tanyabrown9839 5 лет назад +6

I do not know how you can call these slaves, this is a hit to real slaves. Those backpackers are not there under any threats and are welcome to leave at any time. Yes I agree it can be very hard work but you shouldn't compare these with true slaves.

    • @CarolineGold

It's a working holiday visa; they can cut short their 'working holiday' anytime if they are not happy with the work or the holiday. The European youth on this visa are not slaves!
