Zeus is absolutely stunning, and what a brilliant good boy he was considering it was his first professional groom .

@@ChaplainBobWalkerBTh Hey:)
Zeus is such a good boy. He's being still and allowing her to wash him and blow dry. What a cutie pie :)
Yeah, he stood like a statue during the blow dry. What a good boy.
Omg yes like a model, my dogs would be out of there!!!! 😂
i can't believe he's a first timer!
You could tell he wasn't thrilled by the process, but he tolerated it very well, just like a good boy should!
Zeus knew he was being loved✌️💗
The one time I met a King Shepard was when I took my German Shepard to the dog park and there was this great big bear of a dog walking around with a hoard of other dogs surrounding him. He was such a chill boy and truly lived up to the King aspect with how regal he was.

@cissy okay
In my experience - as long as they are properly trained the big breeds are all very calm and relaxed. Maybe because they know no one will mess with them.
What a wonderfully calm dog for the first time. He is so beautiful
Zeus acted like he'd been to a groomer before. Such a gentleman and a really handsome dog.
Yeah
Hes gotta impress the ladies
He had confident dog energy for sure.
This gave my German shedder shedding goals.
Huh
@@jinxd4398
They're are saying that thier German Shedder (Shepherd) now has a goal to aim for in how much shedding they need to accomplish.
This is the first time I've even heard of a King Shepherd. Zeus was so calm for his first groom! ❤
Same
I thought this is how all German shepherds looked I've only seen the one my uncle owned
I think this what people call their overweight German Shepherd. I’ve never heard of one either!
Yeah
In Germany, we have the flat coated shepherd, usually known as german shepherd, and the long coated shepherd, altdeutscher Schäferhund - the first and original shepherd dog in Germany.
He's so calm..you'd think he's done this 100 times. VERY good boy !
I had a Shepherd EXACTLY like him! I swear it's like seeing his twin!! But my Shepherd ("Bear") absolutely loved going for rides in the car or truck! I took him everywhere! No matter where I took him, the girls and women of all ages absolutely loved him! I was even able to take him inside stores like Wal-Mart, builders square, even the grocery store! He was so well known all over town. When he passed in June, 2020, I was so shattered. He was like my brother! I thought I would never get another dog...but I want another dog now. I went through almost 3 years of loneliness without my "Bear"...i need another Shepherd! I'll try to get in touch with the breeder I got him from. I just hope they're still there because that was more than 15 years ago!
I don't think I'll ever see a more epic blowout than the one given to Zeus. Very satisfying!
Yes, epic. I would have thought he needed that undercoat for Ottowa's winter, though. I remove my border collie's undercoat in all but our 3 cold (ish) months.
Man, love your channel. Been a subscriber for years. Keep it up and thank you. I'm from Northern Ireland by the way just to show you how wide and far your audience goes.

Oh my, he looks exactly like my Sarah. She passed away over 10 years ago. My son who also passed away found her wounded in the street and brought her home to live with us. Oh what beautiful memories our king shepherd gave us. This is an add-on I just rescued another Shepard I named her River the name my son and I were going to name our next dog, whoever between the two of us rescued first ( Jimmy I kept the promise 2/6/2022).
sorry about your son and furbaby :(
I'm sorry about your losses
Sorry for your loss, may they rest in peace ❤️
I'm so sorry for your losses
ء7-ء😅😅😊😊
Zeus knows class and style when he sees it, don't blame him for being picky on his car choice.
He likes the wind through his fur, what can he say
Why do you think he is OK, the no ceiling? You think maybe he remembers being put in a car and deserted?
Considering he's letting them drive him places in a car that has no roof and has a very thick coat that would probably see this pup wanting to nap outside in snow, it's probably the fact that it's convertible.
A brilliant mix of information and satisfying video as dirty dogs become clean. Then seeing them in the garden so joyful is a real treat.
I'm so impressed at how calm he is at his first appointment.
He wasn’t calm. He was extremely stressed actually 😮. All that tongue licking and constant panting. But he remained very well behaved even though he was extremely anxious. He’s obviously a very good natured dog.
What a good boy Zeus was, especially for his first groom.
I can't believe how much hair came off of him! Incredible!
It's amazing how you came and took RUclips by storm, build a loyal and loving fanbase and now you use your name to do some good for animals. Mad respect.
Great work 🥰🥰
I think it's safe to say he loved it such a good dog with a lovely temperament.A big thank you to the groomer and the amazing people that adopted him bless you all.🐶🦊🐕🦮💕🍁🍁
Such a beautiful dog! He was so great for his first groom. Good boy, Zeus!
Congrats on almost hitting 1M! My cat passed away a couple of months ago and your channel has been a good therapy. I don't think I'll ever get another pet, because I don't want go through that again, but admiring other people's pets is a nice alternative :)
Pain is the price we pay for love. I am glad these videos could give you solace in a hard time. :)
I'm sorry for your loss, I know how hard it is
A good pet owner hurts when their baby passes on. After the death of my puppy, I thought I'd never get over it. I found this poem a while ago, and it inspired me to carry on.
It hits a little heavy, but maybe it'll have the same effect on you that it had on me.
Before humans die, they write their last will and testament, giving their home and all they have to those they leave behind. If, with my paws, I could do the same, this is what I’d ask…
To a poor and lonely stray, I’d give my happy home; my bowl and cozy bed, soft pillow and all my toys; the lap, which I loved so much; the hand that stroked my fur; and the sweet voice that spoke my name.
I’d will to the sad, scared, shelter dog the place I had in my human’s loving heart, of which there seemed no bounds.
So, when I die, please do not say, “I will never have a pet again, for the loss and the pain is more than I can stand.”
Instead, go find an unloved dog, one whose life has held no joy or hope, and give my place to him.
This is the only thing I can give…
I said the same about getting another dog. It took over 2 yrs for the pain to go away...a little. I finally said I'm getting another dog and took the chance and it was the best decision I ever made. Take your time, you might change your mind. I hope your pain goes away as quick as possible.
Omg im so sorry🥺🥺🥺. I am sending you a big hug🥺 I lost my two 17 year old cats within a year of each other. Hardest loss I have ever gone through. I swore I was done after that. Then one year later, an abandoned momma cat and her one lone kitten was found in a friends backyard. Their love & little personalities have saved me. Also you never know if previous pets reincarnate to be back with you 🥺 b/c … love 🥺❤️
Zeus: will only ride in a 69 Chevy Impala.
clearly this is a shepherd of culture
Convertible. Don't forget that. Dog gotta have that.
@@archie15900 LOL. Birds follow it.
Good taste. My dog rides any car, including random.Just leave door open, and you'll have dog sitting in your passenger seat ready to go.
@@vg7985 I once told my tiny dog (when she was an even teeny tinier puppy; seriously she weighed about 4 lbs) that she was an easy kidnapping target because she had just met me (I had gone to my parents’ house to dog and cat sit when she was new to the family ), and she had no problem with me picking her up and taking her to my car. She was just chilling in the front seat. No screeching, no barking. Just let it all happen 😂
Now she’s 3 and still will let absolutely anyone pick her up. She gets so excited when I visit, but I know I’m not special 🤣
parry otter some dogs trust any hooman. I guess they've never been abused, what is absolutely good.
A magnificent floof. Also, the 'doggy detailing' is my favourite part of the groom lol. So satisfying - nice straight lines for all the floof and fur, love it.
Leta take some time to appreciate the great job she did on this huge fluffy coat WE APPRECIATE DOG GROOMERS
Beautiful dog! I hope he gave you lots of the kisses he was offering.
Been having a chuckle at old Zeus just planting himself if being led to an inferior motor vehicle. Good lad!
I love how Zeus stands there with as much dignity as he can muster while sporting the happy hoody for his blow out. The result of his first groom is stunning. What a beautiful boi
He was so well behaved for his first groom. I hope we get to see him again. I do approve of his ride of choice. A 1969 Impala. Good for him. Perhaps Zeus is an old soul. Also he's very handsome.
He is a good boye with good taste
What a gorgeous boy. Love your videos and your incredible professionalism and calm narration with a touch of humour ❤
What a really handsome dog.....even before the grooming. Be proud to walk that fella.

That dog is big and gorgeous. You did a wonderful job on him.
What a gorgeous dog. He looks like an animal that you would see in fantasy story. ♥️

When I look into his eyes I see great intelligence in this dog - he is very smart.
Zeus is an appropriate name for such a big boy! He's a gentle giant, and he did great for his first professional groom. I'm glad he was adopted/rescued. Owners are lucky to have such a majestic dog
Lol Zeus wasn't chill at all. He turned himself into a bull so he could kidnap and rape a princess who then gave birth to the minotaur
owners literally googled “big dog names” and picked the most common resuly
Oh wow! As a child back in Poland I would see so many of these dogs and just assumed it was "the big type" of German Shepards. I didn't know there was a proper name/breed. The more I think about it the German Shepards were much more like guard dogs while the king Shepards were usually docile and very chilled out much like a great Pyrenees haha
That's not really a recognized breed, but just a type of mix.
Believe it or not, GSDs are pretty chill and docile, too! Not quite as calm as a Great Pyr, but pretty mellow once they reach 18-24 months.
Great pyrenees are actually a livestock guard breed. Even though they are good around families they can become very protective.
Me too. I thought there were just German Shepards, but there are regular ones, long-haired ones, Malamutes (or whatever they're called, smaller and hyperactive) and the big ones.
Exactly same here, our neighbour had two of them and I also thought they were just big German Shepards (or as people called them "wilczury" :)). Despite their enormous sizes, they were always so gentle with me as a kid, I never feared them and neither my parents nor my neighbour were ever afraid to let me play with them, barely attended, though they could fit my head in their jaws.
I love how Zeus is so calm and behaved through out the whole grooming appointment 😂
1st time? What a good boy! My nose itches just watching blow out .
For his first time he did awesome! What a handsome boy!
What a good boy for his first groom! Side note: I desperately need a “how I clean my shop after an epic blowout” video!
Awwww...so glad you're donating to a senior animal rescue. I have such a soft spot for old dogs.
I see how king shepherds get their name, his is so majestic! And Dexter is adorable also :)
He's so majestic and gorgeous !!!!! He's the best boy ever. 😇
I have one of these. He found my front porch when he was about 3 months old. 19 months now & 130 lbs. Extremely loving temperment
For his first professional grooming he is amazingly calm.
Zeus is handling his grooming like a champ! Good job buddy!
Hello 👋 How’re you doing Today ❤?
You massive online community is directly attributable to your delightful dialogue and kindness . Well done sweetie .
Zeus has a wonderful temperament. What a sweetie! He is gorgeous.
I've had and loved dogs all my life, especially shepherds, so I can't believe I have never heard of a King Shepherd before. What a gorgeous boy Zeus is, and he's so well-behaved! And sweet Dexter is gorgeous as well. So happy that they are both living the happy lives that all dogs deserve! My Christmas wish is for *all* dogs to have good, loving homes, and for all shelters - both kill and no-kill - to be a thing of the past.
I've trained shepherds for 16 years and by far my 100% favorite dog is a Kangal shepherd . Turkish breed. Stunning.
Lily Jameson. Probably because they are a breed manufactured by breeders via selective breeding. They are Heinz 57 variety crosses of German Shepherd with Shiloh Shepherds (more genetic breed mixing in the Shiloh Shepherd too) and may have been crossed with Great Pyrenees, Akita, Malamute, possibly other huge dog breeds. I suppose the ultimate aim was to produce a super size German Shepherd and call it "King Shepherd". I don't think it's a recognized breed, fairly new. I have real reservations about the genetic tinkering humans engage in when breeding dogs. Enough joint dysplasia, behavioral issues and other breed specific conditions exist already, without amplifying them with interbreeding. German Shepherds are great as they are!
@@janiceal-najjar5093 wouldn't interbreeding actually dilute those problems since you're mixing in new genetics? Inbreeding for "purebred" dogs is what causes many health issues.
Sometimes that's true. Other times you end up with a frankenstein dog with more problems than you can count. It's the selective breeding part that ruins it. If nature does it's thing you end up with a stronger breed of animal, but when you start picking and choosing traits to carry over based on arbitrary bullshit you get the problems that come with it.
That was replying to @Someinterestingname. For some reason mobile doesn't show the reply properly :/
How gorgeous is Zeus?! Can't fault him for his taste in cars, either :D
If you got to ride make it a sweet ride ; )
Wow, what a good boy, especially when you consider this is his first time!
Zeus.. one of my favorite pet names. He's majestic!!
Zeus is such a gentle beautiful dog!
I’m glad he had a good time! I was worried he’d be scared. He seemed very trusting and relaxed. He even got over the nail trimming anxiety quick, it seemed.
😳🤗 I couldn't help but think about "but grandma what big teeth you have " when Zues was in his happy hoodie. 😍
That's awesome! Thank you for that visual. lol
It's weird, but every time I see the puppy's mouth open during the hairy blow-out, my brain tells ME to close my mouth!
Also, the camera angles are AWESOME in this one! Zeus looks so noble in his happy hoodie during his dry!
I was wondering how much fur got into Zues's Mouth.
Had a King Shepard. Lot's of hair. Great job. These are beautiful dogs.
You did a great job on him , now he looks Gorgeous.

@@GreyGhostBreyers Me too! Who couldn't resist hugging a huge fluffball like Zeus?

*"HE'S SO FLUFFY I'M GONNA DIE!"* Lol 😍
What a stunning boy! Before _and_ after (but particularly handsome after, of course!). So well behaved despite the nerves. He's going to be feeling fantastic without all that undercoat itching, so next time he might remember and put two and two together, and not be so nervous. Of course, being driven by a chauffeur in a classic car will put him in a good mood to start with lol. Dogs are funny creatures. You never know what they will like, and often they'll surprise you!
To Dexter's family, so kind of you to take in such an endangered pup. He's beautiful and I'm sure you have a fantastic new family member who loves you unconditionally.
Gorgeous! Zues was a champ and looks great.
No actually we have you to thank, you’re love and kindness to our fur babies is out of this world. Please keep doing it. Love from Sam and his Cat Dad frm France. ❤️
Seeing how gently and professionally you care for and groom the wonderful animals really makes me consider bringing my old English sheep dog to for a professional makeover! Keep up your amazing work!! Road to 1m!
Zeus was amazing! For his size, he could've been quite the struggle to groom. Such a good boy though! I received my bandana on Saturday and tried to tie it onto my dog for a photo op but she was having none of that. I'm not sure how the collar is fine to wear all the time but the second I tried to put the bandana on her it turned into a wrestling match and game of catch me if you can. That was thirty minutes of good exercise for both of us at least. lol Even if I can't ever get her to wear the bandana, it's good knowing that buying that item and a Fredo t-shirt is helping shelter animals in some way. Thank you for the channel, Vanessa. And thank you for everything you do outside of the channel to provide support for animals in need. Such a wonderful hooman!!
I had a dog who wouldn’t look you in the eye if you put a bandanna on him. I had to ask the groomer to skip it because it turned him into a grump. lol
As someone who grew up with a purebred German shepherd I felt that coat blowout on a personal level 😂, king shepherds look like lovely dogs also, Zeus reminded me of how sweet our German shepherd was
The Bee Keepers Hat is MINDBLOWINGLY BRILLIANT. I was just combing my boy today outside in the wind and I STILL ATE HAIR. Girl With The Dogs, GOOD GIRL!
That dog was great. Must have a good family.
You'll be finding his hair for years to come x

Hello Mary 👋 How’re you doing today?❤
Congrats on the "almost" 1 million, you deserve so many more!
Check it now
Does she, though? Everyone always says “you deserve better,” but I don’t think that’s always the case.
I believe Vanessa has put in the hard work necessary to get 1M subscribers, and as a result she was awarded that. I don’t think she deserves any more than what she’s earned. Maybe someday, after more hard work, she’ll reach 2M. She doesn’t deserve more than what she has now.
@@japlunkett6789 She definitely does! Deserving is a matter of opinion. I've seen channels with high quality content, content that really matters, with only hundreds of subscribers after a few years, regarding of the time and effort they put into it. On the flip-side, some channels do minimal work, with basically irrelevant content and get massive amounts of subscribers. So, congratulating her, it's my way to say thanks for everything she does, not just in the channel but in real life, and to show my support sharing her channel and videos with my friends and everybody else I can.
Congratulations to 1 Million subscribers!! So very much deserved! You do such an amazing job. I absolutely love your humor. Your videos have helped me on many, many challenging days. A big thank you to you! And as I just saw a post about it - thank you to your amazing camera man, too!

Oh my god, we had a king Shepard!!! My Baron was the best dog in the world! I lost him in 92 and I still miss him
I’d love to see the reunions with their owners after the pampering.....
He was/is, such a brilliantly behaved dog for his first pro grooming session.
I'm super grateful to this channel for helping me learn how to groom my dogs at home. My retired service dog is a pit, so grooming was never really needed, but my new service dog is a golden/lab mix and buying a high-velocity dryer for at-home bath has made SO MUCH difference.

What a magnificent dog. He is beautiful.
Alright guys, let's get her to 1 mil!!! She deserves it!
I didn’t think the hair would ever stop coming out. Lol. Great job and thank you for sharing all of your knowledge. We have a big boy black lab that is 115 lbs. and we have learned so much about grooming him. You sharing has made it possible for pet owners to be able to care for their dogs much better and eliminate some frustrations with dog hair. Makes owning a dog more enjoyable. 😀
Your voice is so calming ❤️
you are very lovely lady, who takes her job so seriously you are outstanding, funny and obviously love your animals, well done and thank you
Such a noble good hearted beast shepherds are generally one of the best for a family because of how well rounded they are as well as having a pack mentality, they avoid favorites mostly super harmonious dogs
Zeus did so well!!! So proud of him, he was in great hands 💗
it would be so awesome to see the owners reactions for glow ups like this. im sure they are so happy to see their puppers looking so amazing after your done with them.
He is beautiful! My Brother had a King Shepard that went 125 lbs, He taught our golden retriever to bark... like a king Shepard!
It’s you and the way you tell the story about each animal 😊
Thank you for supporting Senior dog rescues. I recently found a German Shepherd/ Norwegian Elkhound mix at a local Humane Society shelter: 10 1/2 years old. What a sweetheart.
Good job.
Keep getting the word out!
I loved seeing the wonderful work you did with Zeus and how well behaved he was. Love also to Dexter and his forever family. People who rescue and foster dogs are a special group of people 😀👍🏼🐶💕
A very majestic dog. Just absolutely gorgeous. And well behaved. ❤️❤️
Zeus is, unlike his namesake, a perfect gentleman!
Y'all give it up for Dexter for being so cute!
Such a well behaved dog. Beautiful ❤️
Man, for being the mix he is and with the name he has, I thought Zeus might be a bit more noisy...guess he was in a good mood after that ride in the Cadillac? :P He looks like such a charmer.
He was probably taken on a long walk or run before the grooming.
Just a guess, but i get the feeling that he's been given some good obedience training, something Shepherds take well to. That's why he's so well-behaved.
Wow, Zeus looks fabulous after his grooming session! He was such a good boy, too.
what an amazing patient, calm and tolerant doggy!! He's very wise to stay still, because he's getting the royal treatment and I'm sure he'll feel like a million bucks when all is done.
Hes a proud dog, love his posture
Zeus looks a lot like our shepherd Jess, who is a massive chunk at 120 pounds. They are fantastic dogs. He was dumped on our mountain right before Christmas three years ago and somehow found his way to our cabin. He was a puppy and in very rough shape. Now he’s a massive love bug. A small tip: get your GSD puppy their very own kitten.
