I was about 15 or 16 when that came out. I was kicking back in my bedroom, listening to my clock radio when the song came on. I was immediately taken by the music but as I was listening to the misogynistic lyrics, I got madder and madder (the fact that I loved the music so much made it even worse) until the last two lines "and when we're through you ... we'll get me one, too." "Something/Anything?" is a masterpiece of an album, and the entire double disc set is worthy of an in-depth listen. He was a masterful guitarist and a prolific album producer for other artists. He in fact was producer for Meat Loaf's masterpiece "Bat out of Hell" and played the "motorcycle effect" guitar solo on that album's title track. @RobSquadReactions John Mayall passed away on the 22nd. Known as the Godfather of the British Blues. So many greats passed thru his band. Without him, the music landscape today would be very different. ruclips.net/video/EfWU2MV9_ZI/видео.htmlsi=Kg6MNsyXsWlTgaTn

I love Todd Rundgren. I saw him live. A bonafide musical genius. As has been stated below Todd liked to play all of the instruments and sing all of the vocals on his albums. On this 2 record set he played everything and sang everything on the first 3 sides of the record, then brought in a bunch of friends to record the last side.

We were on a rock and roll cruise in 2019. Todd was one of the artists that performed. I ran into Todd twice and visited with him (along with about 10 other people). He was a really nice guy and didn't act like he was anything special. He was funny and had some interesting stories. His concert was very funny and very quirky. His main song was "Brand New Key" by Melanie. It was SO funny. Unfortunately, he didn't play my favorite song by him "Couldn't I Just Tell You".
