  • AS I mentioned in this video, the strap is made from bison hide. My pal Chris Layman of Broadwinger Boots sent me a box of scrap knowing I wanted to try my hand at leather work - I made this from one small scrap piece, the whole time not thinking I'd be able to pull it off

Mike, you should sell your designs to these watchmakers. They’re unique and manly!

Pretty sure that smaller watch on my 6.4" wrist would look bigger than the large watch on your wrist! It was never easy for me to find a watch I liked that looked appropriate because I liked the chronograph style.

Keep your watch cases under 40mm and you're golden. these are in the 37mm range

I will be - I have an idea I've put into action - I have a lot of well spec'd cool/tough watches: Sapphire crystal, Seiko automatic movements, SS cases and screw backs, screw down crowns, 200m water resistance. They're all good looking diver/pilot style watches. The idea is to sell the cuff/bund bands with a real cool/tough watch already on it - Package deal - "instant cool" - It's a "take my money" kind of thing.... I've been designing and building well made stuff for a living my entire life, from high end furniture to custom Klunker bikes built up from vintage parts. Everything I make tends to command a decent number just because I'm crazy and put so much effort into getting things just right - BUT - That's just me doing what I do, I'm just lucky that people dig on it enough to snap the stuff up..... This is a gamble for me, it's a LOT of time saddle stitching these things by hand, it takes all stinkin' day. I'm using quality materials and investing my own money in all this so if it doesn't work out and I can't move any of this stuff then it might be a waste of time.... I have to come up with a decent number that covers everything and nets me profit but is also affordable to the people who expect to pay up a bit for something like this. The thing about what I do is that you can see the quality in it - Essentially the product sells itself... I'm still nervous about investing all the time and money into this :D

Thank You for the positive response. I'm far from rich however, I spend on quality every time. If you do have some for sale. Please make a video so we can get one before they are gone. Or at the minimum, start planning for the next group.
      You are Rad. Thank You!
