It's amazing how lucky Alfie has been. He took a beating for Spencer (orders of Jack Dalton), taunted Andy Hunter, stood up to Johnny Allen and stole money from Phil...and still lived to tell the tale! 😂

I'd notice looking back on some of the old clips that Johnny respected Alfie quite a bit. Maybe cause Alfie was a man who said how he felt and stood up for himself, probs why Johnny liked him.

Yes can tell could of been friends if they plot went that way johny could tell Alfie was what you see is what you get could trust him unlike Andy

Exactly! They were both old school and I think Johnny could see how Alfie tried looking out for his cousins and their Nana, and didn't appear to tread on anyone's toes and meddle. Alfie knew where he stood and Johnny appreciated that.

True, especially considering Phil was intimidated by Andy in 2003 so much that he grassed up Dennis to him, there’s no way Johnny should have looked so pathetic in his feud with the Mitchell’s

The amount of times Jonny failed to kill The Mitchells borderlined Sideshow Bob & Bart Simpson, Jake actually killed his own brother to save two strangers and Jonny actually handed himself into the police to stop Ruby having a tantrum (and he still mention any of Phil's involvement even when confessing to crimes Ruby didn't know about).

Johnny liked Alfie and was 💯 on his side against Andy. Probably one of the reasons Johnny killed Andy was because of his evil bullying of Alfie and his family. That’s not how being a gangster in the East End worked. Not under Johnny’s code anyway. Hence why he went back on his plan to allow Andy to take over his business.

Johnny use to live around there years ago and was quite feared, although when he arrived in Walford he was pretty much semi retired.
