Phil can be really irritating at times. Andy was underrated sometimes aswell though. 2003 I think it was slowly the beginning of the end for eastenders that led until 2010 and then its curtains for the show.
Andy was a great character but in terms of being a gangster, he was rubbish compared to guys like Johnny and Jack Dolton. That's why he was scared of Johnny and I think he was scared of Jack too.
Whilst I’d agree 2010 onwards is where the show went downhill in quality. Eastenders in the 2000s imo was lowkey it’s peak. The 90s were great but like the wwe. In the 2000s it was the perfect blend of characters new and old for that decade and had the best storylines that covered not just gangster stuff but life too. Now post 2010 the show has kind of lost that variety and edge and now is one note and inconsistent like making Phil the terminator or not making characters have interesting stories rather than just relationship dramas.
