During 80s the 3point shot was relatively new to the league and wasn't a major emphasis during that time. The ave. team attempting 3point shot has a grand total of 3.1 per game compared to modern NBA teams are shooting over 10X 3point attemps per game. To say MJ was a bad 3point shooter in 80s would be objectively incorrect. Because he was quite literally better than most of the 3point shooters within the league. In 90s MJ had 3point shooting percentage that was actually better than the league average. MJ has 35.4% from 3s compare to the league average that was 34.1%. As usual with MJ he was better in the playoffs and even better in the NBA Finals. MJ 3point career is 32.7% in the regular season and in his playoffs career he shot 33.2% and in the NBA Finals specifically MJ shot 36.8%. Kobe in 3point percentage in the NBA Finals was a career 31.4%, Lebron was a career 35.2% and Kyrie was a career 36.2% in the NBA Finals. In 1992 NBA Finals where MJ famously set the NBA Finals Record for most 3 pointers made in a half and tied the NBA records for the most 3 pointers made in the game. Most of you focuses on regular season but MJ was better when the games mattered the most. He was better than Kobe, Lebron and Kyrie on the game's biggest stage by a mile. Bro Jordan can slip on a banana peel and fall in dogshit and people will be like “there’s that mj falling in poop like no one ever, such an inspiration “ 🤣
Facts 😂😂😂
And Lebron would copy the shit out of that too.
Nah he just won 6 rings, at the end of the day all people remember is who won
And Bill Russell won 11 and pretend like it doesn't matter. Jordan is over rated.
What has King JAMES copied from MJ? besides sharing the same #? King James plays nothing like MJ. KING JAMES married his hs sweetheart and is still married to her. King James didn't marry a Cuban model. King James hs friends are all rich, everytime that you see King James he's surrounded by Black people. When you see MJ he's surrounded by White people!@joepermenter7228
Did you see The Great Lary Bird in this contest in this contest? I just don't understand people can compare him with some of these guys. I think a great player is always ready for this challenge. I love the working discipline of Black Mamba.
Won 3 in a row
I am so glad A.I. & Jordan 🐐 participated
W....why would you have them in this order? I can see why Iverson would go first, his comment is the funniest. Keeping the momentum rolling with Durant is fine. But the two lowest scores are Schrempf and Jordan. It's a dream come true to be able to have Michael Jordan at the climax of your video--doing something infamous, no less. It writes itself--"Detlef Schrempf was a great player having a bad night, but you'll never guess what the GREATEST player did."
Instead, you show Jordan and then Schrempf scoring 5, and then end with some rando who made 6. So it wasn't even the worst performance, and it makes the end of the video totally forgettable. Radmanovic should have been buried in the middle, and then you obviously end with Jordan.
I couldn’t imagine putting up that kind of performance. I would have to redeem myself!
At least they were brave enough to get out their comfort zone.
Reggie Miller never won this competition, he’s the one who should be embarrassed
why? its a meaningless competition
Sometimes it is not your day.
Same as lifting weights, you can’t be lifting heavy all the time.
THIS IS NOT ME
I thought Iverson would have been good at the three-point.
I didn't read much MJ slander and that's good. But I do wonder what would've been said about LeBron if he only had 5
It's 2024 ...I catch it very strange that there no full footage of the 1990 3 point contest instead the highlights of MJ 3s attempts and his teammates Craig Hodges... knowing that Reggie Miller,Mark price , Larry bird also competed but there's no highlights of them 🤔...
The thing about stars and 3’s is that that is not their game they only have it in case they need it.
Real face of Jor-dick without team support 😂
This is why MJ would struggle in today's era, and is not the goat
There's a reason this event was a joke in the past and the dunk contest was 🔥. Look where we are now.
The three pointer contest is still as relevant (technically more because this was the worst) and the dunk contest had ups and downs. Stop ✋️
Would you have been saying that if Jordan did good in it ?
You don't have enough time to really shoot all those 3-pointers with a full jump shot, you have to jump less or shoot more of a set-shot or you will never get all the shots off
Right.
Larry Bird was the goat of 3 pointers.. No other player like the Bird.
I honestly don't even have mike in the all-time top 30....
I have him between top 35 and 40....
- He never defeated a historically great team ever (EVER!!!!)- The mortal/non-ShowTime 1991 Lakers (no Kareem/no Cooper/no Riley) were not at all historically great (Elden Campbell and rookie Divac); and the 1991 Pistons weren't either (9 out of 12 players over 30 yrs old, Laimbeer 34 yrs, 6th consecutive deep postseason and 7 out of the last 8 years, Isiah with career-altering injury, Rodman/Salley/Laimbeer minor injuries all season long, 3 consecutive Finals prior)
- never played a historically great team in the 90s
- always had the clear edge in the postseason
Early90s - 2 hall of famers/2nd or 3rd greatest coach vs 1 hall of famer
Late90s - 2 superstar hall of famers plus 2 role hall of famers plus 2nd or 3rd greatest coach vs 1 hall of famer (utah, 2)
* 91/92/93 Knicks, 92/93 Cavs, 96/97 Heat, '96 Sonics, '97 Hawks, '98 Pacers, 97/98 Jazz all had Hall of Fame coaches, but, seriously- only 5 (92/93 Knicks, Pacers, Jazz)or 6 ('92 Cavs) of these teams were even CLOSE to eye-level.... coaching doesn't matter much if you don't have the horses
- never even scratched when he didn't have the best team in the league for any given season.... only won 1 playoff game versus the mediocre '85 Bucks and jordan actually had better production than the Milwaukee roster....
LeBron gets roasted for getting swept by UNBEATABLE teams like the 2007 Spurs and 2018 Warriors, but Bron was able to get his team past the first round(s) and he brought his teams in good enough seeding to avoid the 2006 Heat and 2008 Celtics in the First Round, so he didn't get an early exit!!!! Bron also had an epic 7-Game series vs Boston and came within a few points and a couple stops from defeating this team that would go to win that year's championship, go to another Finals 2 years later, and stay relevant contenders for the next 5 seasons (08/09/10/11/12)- OVERRATED jordan put up a meaningless 63 points and was swept by Boston and then again the next season....
Scottie Pippen led 2 teams to championship contention TWICE without jordan as a teammate- only controversial officiating kept him from the '94 Finals and the 2000 championship....
Kawhi Leonard put the league ON NOTICE by getting his team up 25 points against the 2017 Warriors on the road before they injured him....
Giannis took a deep team and made them almost a superteam (of domination)) for 3 out of 5 seasons...,
Barkley took the mediocre Suns and made them the top or 2nd best West team for 3 straight season....
Reggie Miller took the mediocre Pacers 2 consecutive seasons and went 7 games in the '94 and '95 Conference Finals....
Isiah Thomas took a trash Pistons teams and grew them to 2nd Round contenders before they completed their championship-caliber roster....
Bill Walton is 1 of 2 players to play in a 70s NBA Finals' series as the only Hall of Fame player on their team, and the only player ever as such to win a championship....
Iverson and Bron (twice) were the only modern players to bring mediocre teams to The Finals, 2001/2007 as the only Prime HoF/All-Star caliber players on their team....
.... Since the LeBron-jordan debate(s), championships/status have increased in level of importance to a player's legacy, and, with that said....
*NOTHING ABOUT JORDAN'S CAREER STANDS OUT AS REMARKABLE OR UNIQUE TOWARDS TEAM EFFORT- HE ONLY HAS IMPRESSIVE OFFENSIVE NUMBERS AND ONLY BECAUSE HE TOOK MORE SHOTS THAN ANYONE ELSE WITH AVERAGE OR LESS-THAN-AVERAGE EFFICIENCY!!!!*
MJs critics choose to ignore this facts.
Stephen Curry'shoot is too perfect
You missed Mario chalmers who got eliminated for touching the line
Pick the ball from a rack and shoot , and creating your own shot is totally different
MJ23GOAT had the balls to participate. Unlike some bubble kings.
Alan iverson and Martin lawerence sound exactly the same when they talk
Probably cause they from the dmv
@@jump6098Iverson from 757 , DMV & 757 type different. Real Virginians know
I would like to see Shaq and Rodman 3 point contest. :D
I think the nba legit needs to do that. Have a fun contest with the worst shooters. It would definitely intrigue people
0:55 how come every ninja spoke like this in the 2000s
It’s funny how they make fun of Jordan but he did try including the dunk contest theirs another player who claims to be the self proclaimed GOAT and never tried the 3-point contest or DUNK contest I wonder why 🤷
Wow. So shooting unguarded is actually easier than being guarded? Who knew lol.
I found myself watching Hodges over Jordan - that guy was unreal! I wonder if he or Curry is the best ever?
Craig Hodges doesn’t get enough respect I promise
MJ and rip Hamilton similar. Great mid range but they didn’t have much arch to give them a chance at being great 3 shooters
its acc insane how ai is one of the worst 3pt shooters yet he averaged 26ppg
I would not be surprised if Craig Hodges was bullied by Jordan since that day.
Just goes to show you that Larry Bird kicked his ass at the 3 point contest as well.
MJ , got 5 pts out of a possible 30. let that sink in lol.
When motivated Jordan will do better once season he had 50% at the three and another season he shot 42%, he jumped around mostly in the mid 35's which is an average 3 point shooter
Kd jumper changed 😭💯
They just want to show how 3-point shots will be in playoffs
AI and Jordan sounds like an all time worst 3pt contest.
Standing still just shooting like that isn’t Iversons style but I’d still be good with him taking a game winning 3 anytime
You can’t expect Players Like MJ & A.I. KD to win these type of contests when they was pure scorers the 3 around this time was not important so showing this pointless show some more 2010s 😂
Hersey Hawkins. Detlef Schrempf. Dan Majerle. Jeff Hornacek. That is who Jordan faced in the finals.... I'm dead 😂. The best player Jordan went up against in the finals was Karl malone... who Rodman neutralized. Sounds like some some great individual matchups. Lebron James in the finals... stacked spurs teams... stacked dallas team... golden state... KD russ harden ibaka thunder.... literally none of Jordan finals opponents compare to any of those teams. Not one.
Man! In that Schrempf contest it had the most annoying squeeling guitar soloing in the background, no wonder you lose focus! I would have said straight up 'No guitar for me please'!
Michael Cooper did play 3 point contest in the Philippines at 40 plus 😂
weird seeing MJ shot from the Corner 3
Glen Rice is my favorite shooter ever
Imagine this happening today.
wow never thought that MJ holds the worst 3pt contest points LOL
Here come the excuses for MJ and slander of A.I. and the random LeBron hate
