I find it amusing how Jordan fans try to make his time with the Wizards look good. Compared to Lebron's longevity, Jordan's is a joke. He looked good against trash teams and then didn't make the playoffs. He wasn't a superstar after he moved on. That just goes to show that Jordan had a super team. Lebron, on the other hand, won rings with three different teams. And his opponents were KD, Steph, Jokic, Giannis and now even Wemby. As I said, I think Lebron is the Goat and MJ can be the second choice. For me, Lebron has long since proven why he is the Goat. But as I said, you will never be able to convince long-standing Jordan fans.

Before Jordan blew out his knee in 2002, he had led the Wizards to a 26-21 record after starting out 2-9. In those 47 games, Jordan averaged 25 ppg, 6 rpg, 5 apg, and 1.5 spg. In the last 10 games leading up to his injury, they went 7-3, with 6 of those games against playoff teams, and the Wizards were ranked 5th in the Eastern Conference. They were one of the top defensive teams, and Jordan, in the last 10 games, was averaging 29.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.2 steals with a 47.2% field goal percentage. I don't think the Wizards would've won the Eastern Conference, they were showing improvement especially versus the previous season. They had the potential to become a strong team. Unfortunately, Jordan's teammate collided hard with his knee, and Jordan was wasn't the same after.

People don't remember but MJ retired at 35 and came back at 38 (almost 39) with a noticeable downgrade on athleticism. Even with that being said, in his first season he was on fire the first half of the year. Averaging over 25 PPG in a league that only averaged around 80s/90s in total PPG. BUT unfortunately he bumped knees and inured himself. I forget the exact diagnosis but he was never the same after that because he was always in pain. He had to go on minutes restriction for the next season and a half. He tried to fix his knee over the summer but it didn't help. If he hadn't injured himself his number would have only improved. If MJ would have brought that production to a contending team as 2nd or 3rd option he would have at least have 1 more ring for those 2 yrs.

He easily coulda joined the Lakers and won his 7th, 8th ring but nah that's not MJ.. MJ went to the worst team for competition.. if he only stayed healthy they were one of the best teams in the east

@@NotAnAstronaut2k Yea, his ego got in the way. MJ couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Another ring would have added to his legacy.
