    I'm a yoga instructor and for someone who isn't a "professional stretcher or yoga teacher 🙂" I found your alignment and body aware information on point! Even the statement about recognizing how one side of your body was tighter or sorer and attributing it to the Right-side use was very insightful (and true!). Your reminder about sleep, hydration and nutrition as three key pillars to recovery and performance were spot on. Great video. Thanks for providing this.

    Following this schedule for 4 years now, it's been the most effective routine in my whole life,
    My fitness completely changed.
    My suggestion to anyone starting to get into workouts, first, master this routine and make your body flexible, especially make your legs flexible. Your leg is the foundation, it carries your whole body.
    The flexibility will give you a headstart in workout.

    pls never delete this i’ve been using it for over a year now for hockey and the gym. i could probably recite this video w my eyes close. the best stretching exercises and video i’ve ever found. covers everything and so great with the timer. i even modify it with stretches i like too. simply awesome

    I weigh 340 pounds, I used to have a problem hitting the pitch to ping some balls with my friends. My back would start hurting so bad after 15 minutes i would stop. When I started doing your stretch/yoga routinely for 3 weeks I noticed my back stop hurting and i was able to last 45 minutes. Now I do the stretch/yoga routinely daily at 4am and try to hit the pitch everyday at 6 and work on fitness/individual training. My Weight-Loss and football journey is going to be a long one. My goal is to get fit and join a competitive sunday league in the next 2 years.
    You've inspired me and so many others to get out there and get after it. All your content is amazing and you're letting people know the truth. Tho I need to watch your football nutrition more haha. Keep up the hard work and Thanks for everything you've done for us

    Thank you for your video. I am a Yoga Teacher and currently teaching Children with special need. And I wanted to see which yoga stretches footballers might use and enjoy. Since one of my students today was saying he doesn't like Yoga while he was happily following and doing it all!! So, I have found out that he loves football and I am going to use that reference instead to divert his interest to change his perception on Yoga , perhaps it is in the "word" Yoga.. Anyway, I will introduce footballer's Yoga on our tomorrow's lesson & session.

      Yoga has a lot of associations to it you have to be a certain way in your ‘practice’. I prefer to just stretch because there are no beg or advanced stretchi’s...and for the same reason you mentioned I clicked his link instead of an at home yoga video.

    I can’t believe I followed through all of it!
    I’m 35 this year, mainly been a Futsal gk for about ten tears. I found the abductors and sitting on your ankles the most painful
    Even the long straight leg to the side got me and that’s my bread and butter (leg saves)

    I’ve never really had a stretching routine and chronic injuries from inflexibility pushed me out of pro soccer, day 1 of starting a routine with this video and man it was a massive struggle but going to keep at it 2-3 times a week and see where we end up! Thanks for putting this out there for us soccer players!

    In case anybody is wondering the last stretch he does works his glutious medius not your glutious Maximus (Butt)
    But it is a little more toward your quad which helps your kicking motion in soccer and the most powerful kickers have a really stretched out glutious medius

    i am following few stretches for 15 secs and few for 60 secs, and most of them for 30 secs for past week every day before and after i play football. Huge thanks Matt. saviour. i have less fatigue and cramps for the rest of the day.

    I have done this routine a bunch of times that I feel the 30 minutes go flying, and I really see some improvements in my range of motion, so combined with strength training I now I feel better and strong.

    I always get injured in my hip flexors, but now I’ll strengthen it and stretch it and just begin to do a lot of injury prevention. This video has been my go-to video for the last 3-4 months

    Thanks! My 10 yro son is a soccer player and just had a growth spurt so has lost some mobility. I am a lot less flexible than I use to be so we are starting this together. It’s a good way for us to spend time together and also get more lumber so we can avoid injuries. Keep up the hood work with the videos. Thanks again.

    Yo first time I did the entire thing and followed along. Never knew what was real pain until I did this entire stretching routine. I'm going to keep commenting on this as a thread every time I do the routine and post my brief thoughts to see my progress. Thanks for this Matt! One of my all-time favorites!

    Thank you so much for this and all your other stretching routines as they have really helped me - I used to be really inflexible and I actually had never intentionally stretched my hip flexor before watching these stretching videos. And as a young footballer those toe stretches to another milky a different dimension. Thank you so much, love your vids

    i’m pretty flexible and i’ve never really felt a stretch in my quads with the common stretches and i’ve been feeling so much discomfort in my quads recently and that couch quad stretch absolutely killed me!

    Bro this really helps. Just a slight problem is that you feel amazing just after the session but the next day my hips were paining but as you told you are not a professional so no problem
