Hope you don't mind my opinion. I think your deep squat shows an uneven pelvis. I have the same thing and is caused by a tight psoas - looks like you are right dominant. This twist in the pelvis is what causes the extra tightness in your right adductor/groin. Your trainer/physio should be able to assess and release this. I wouldn't normally weigh in here but this plagued me for years even after my playing days were over. Hope this helps.
Yeah footballers tend to have imbalances because of old injuries. Plus, you're dominant on one leg. Many sports cause these kinds of imbalances in athletes overtime. Stretching and mindful usage of the other side of the body in football can mitigate this, but not fully.

You really make these stretches easier because you give good directions and advice on stretches. It would mean a lot if you could. Keep crushing it man.
well studies have shown static stretching leads to more injuries and lower performance before exercise. so dynamic stretching is recommended before activity and leave static stretching like this after you done exercising

Could you maybe do some videos to get faster at short distance, I am very good at long distance, averaged 9.6k per game however my top speed was 7.5m per second and I would love to get that to about 8. I'm thankful, there are plenty like me that refuse to settle the competition rhythm into a something more slow paced, and then we got destroyed after each match haha.. Anyway, I started harder with the gym, built some muscle base upper and lower body, to get athletic in exchange for the speed that clearly I've been losing with the ongoing years. Time does not forgive, if at some point you release a speed program for old dudes, I'll be into it ;)

Ohhh this has felt soooo good I have taken time without doing them cz if my tight schedule class in the morning then team training in the afternoon for my university team but today I just went on it and I feel great especially this last one, when I had just started I could not even fold my legs without putting my hands on the flow for assistance but I’m now getting better though I still the soreness which is great… big ups Matt Sheldon

These videos are so great for any level of footballer. I really love them. The only request would be doing more strength or “power yoga” so you are not only stretching your muscles but also strengthening them.
Your videos are awesome!!! Do you have any one for a routine for strengthening ankles and improving mobility. I have too sprained my ankles a lot and I think that not having a good range of motion is the culprit

Also would be cool if you did a day in the life, and have a few of your team mates do a day in the life as well, and then you edit the videos in to one. Would be really cool to see the difference between players days. Maybe not a game day, day in the life, but maybe a normal training day, day in the life would be cool!
On another note, I have also experienced ankle trouble in my left ankle, and I see it’s pretty popular in the comments. I would love to see some ankle mobility, focus videos with bands for strengthening.
Hey Matt, Can you do a video where you show your ankle strengthening and mobility routine that you mentioned. As a young soccer player myself, a year ago, I fractured my ankle and was out for about 10 weeks. Even until now, it still doesn’t feel 100%. When I jump or do plyometric exercises on my previously injured ankle, I feel my ankle can’t absorb the force and doesn’t have nearly the same spring as my other ankle does. Also, my previously I injured ankle is noticeably less flexible more prone to injury. I twist the ankle more and before my injury, I never really got sprains (it hurt for a few minutes but then after that I was completely fine) but now, I’m noticing that when I twist my ankle the pain is more severe and it affects me days after.
I have been doing this routine for the past couple weeks now and I was wondering how often should one do this in a week. Ive been doing it 2-3 times a week or is this rather a daily routine?

Or just try to train here where I am now and improve so maybe I would play for the first team. I am just concerned if playing with the bad team is not going to get me ready for the first team, although i am one of the better players in my youth team.
