My favourite Andy moment is from S8 E1, The list. It’s when the office is split into “winners and losers” and Andy confronts Robert California about it. The scene displays how he really does care about his coworkers and will overcome his timid nature to explain to his boss how all his coworkers are winners. This scene is good development for his “finding his confidence” story arc and also his relationship with Erin and his colleagues. By courageously standing up to the obnoxious Robert California, and defending the reputation of his friends, Andy earns the respect of everyone in the office, which is why I believe that S8 Andy was actually pretty good as Regional Manager. PS - I was really upset when they messed up his character and story arc in S9, but from S3-S8 there’s so much to love about him
'andy is not my favourite but his character progress was pretty good until the end of season 8 through 9. He showed a true leader who cares about his coworkers which is why i got mad that he got replaced so easily. Just because the "new manager" gave raises. Money can be earned but not respect.
@@murph_smurf2886 Ed Helms is a lucky guy..creating Andy Bernard and Stuart Price at the same time...he was a really big actor at that time...other cast memeber later became more famous
Andy had to of been one of the most developed characters in this show. He went from being a douche with anger issues and a follower to the point where even Michael got annoyed, to a actual good friend with a heart who tries to help out everyone around him and doesn’t let anger take him.
He felt more like he just suddenly changed from a douche into a friendly guy, and I always felt it was more inconsistent writing from the show rather than actually good development of a character.
In my opinion Andy went from douche to "contained douche" after the anger management. There were always hints of dumb and annoying behaviour even when he was flirting with Erin and then with Erin. The final blow was when he just abandons her and his job to go sailing. He's also abandoned his job for days on end multiple times before. The confidence boost from his hiking trip just let all the douche he was too scared to let show ooze out.
There were so many legendary scenes in this show but for some reason I think Andy and Dwight singing Country Roads is probably my favorite. It gets better every time I see it.

@@Blingcosby Nah its still bad. He lost everything and when he got a job in cornell he doesn't love it as much as his time in the dunder mifflin. And 2 or 3 girls cheated on him, 1st his High School gf by used and cheated on him, 2nd with Angela with Dwight, 3rd Erin with Plop. His family doesn't care for him, renamed him and gave his birth name to his brother. Oh and the way the writers treated him in S9 to make us like Nellie and to make Erin look good even though she cheated with Plop (probably only dated her since she is attractive but very dumb which can easily be manipulated).
Andy started off a villain- an ineffective, non threatening, social climbing snake. Him becoming this lovable guy who never got mad was when his character was ruined.
It still hurts how they completely destroyed his character in season 9. Andy had the best character development. They spent seasons building him and Erin up only for them to force Pete down our throats and for Erin to be with Pete and Andy alone at the end.

Agreed. Sure he might be a jerk but if you think about it his family fell apart while still recovering from losing his job to Nellie (it really impacted him really hard), and Erin being selfish and dated Plop. I love how the office made me hate Andy one minute and the next he’s my favorite character
I can't believe you didn't add in the scene of Andy trying to figure out if the rumor Michael started about him being gay was true or not, so he asks Oscar, and explains his Brad Pitt scenario :D lmao, that was epic
Michael, *am I gay?*
i’m trying to find this scene
Andy:"I want an ad in your yearbook, full page 2 words-"
Jim:"Good luck"
“That’s not what I had in mind “
Andy explaining an entire fun filled day and including "quick nap at my place" is so underrated lmao I seriously am cackling
Andy: I wonder if she’s like a guidance counselor
Jim: No i don’t think so
Andy: She’s probably a tutor
Jim: Nope
Andy: She probably-
Jim: No
That scene made me scratch my head like bro you seriously couldn't tell she was underage the first time you met her??? Fucking idiot
Corey Kindle wow who hurt you?????
@@magnoliatreesinthemeadow lol, not hurt at all. Just baffled at his lack of common sense. If I didn't know any better it sounds like you're defending Andy.....
Andy: “I had no idea!”
Jim: “Welp... that’s not gonna hold up in court.”
Maya DeMoss That’s not gonna hold up in court.
Nobody:
Andy: "I WENT TO CORNELL"
Also Andy: THE FIRE'S SHOOTING AT US!
It’s Cornell*
@Andy Bernard excuse me but I'm Andy Bernard...
I DID... UGHH Dwight Makes me Want to smash a window!
It's Cornelll
"I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them."
- Andy Bernard
- Aryaman7
I love the songs he sang....especially the one when The Office was ending. So melodious and touching.
“Sorry I annoyed you with my friendship” is a line I used everyday😂😂 Also, Jim’s face when Andy punches the wall😂😂
Rainn Wilson and Ed Helms at 8:03 saying the same lines at the same time with different contexts is some next level chemistry and acting.
And they both apparently know the exact wording of how Cornell asks its interviewers to deny a potential applicant, which means out there somewhere in an administrative handbook is a document saying
“If the applicant is unlikely to be accepted, this is our official denial:
‘I think I have everything I need. You will be hearing from the Cornell application department. You will not be pleased with the results, and your affiliation with Cornell will end completely.’ “
Either that or Andy is perfectly copying Dwight on the spot. Either way, it’s awesome 😂
Andy is my favorite character because nothing ever goes his way, but yet he somehow manages to stick to his promise he made at 1:20 and keeps being an awesome friend, manager, and person
(Besides the second time he punched a wall, but you seriously cant blame him for that one)
Edit: Im fucking livid that they made him into a class 1 asshole in season 9
The Bloody Doctor yup I’m just going to pretend the seasons after didn’t exist and Erin and Andy are still going good and building another relationship 😔😔
@The Bloody Doctor I agree. Andy was flawed but relatable and was at heart a good person who cared. In my opinion season 8 was good, but season 9 has no redeemable qualities for me. And I don’t understand many of the character writing decisions. I’ll die mad about it.
The Bloody Doctor the first half of season eight had some of the best parts of his character, it’s nelly who ruined his and Robert California’s character
AYY You are my Favorite Character also.... Sorry I really don’t know what your talking about...
Erin's delivery is so underrated sometimes.
"Who did?"
"Stephen Sondheim."
"Who is he???"
Pretty sad he didn't end up with Erin.
they were one of the cutest couples
I didn' t like the scenario idea of Go sailing for 3 month without erin. They really don't know how we really wantes to see andy and erin
andy is go sailing 3 months because in same time he is shooting hangover.
@@nardydog i only hate that movie for that reason
@@Horzinicla yeah. After the Michael, Andy was a best boss.
love how Dwight prepares to defend himself when the singing barbers come in haha
"Who was Cornell's *8th* president"
"Dale Raymond Corson"
"Im sorry, that's incorrect. Cornell's *7th* president was in fact James A Perkins"
Baron Von Sparklefarts yes, we watched the same video as you idiot.
@@pnut3844able yo yo yo, no need to be so hostile. Especially ten months later.
Comment skills subpar
pnut3844able y u mad 🤨🤔
@@pnut3844able I can tell you are handling the stay at home thing well.
Post anger management Andy- “ I can’t achieve anger anymore .” I love that line.
How has this not been done yet?
ryobutterbutter Maybe they were working on it for a while
I swear there was one already
Connor Chen yup. Had to dig deep to find 10 minutes worth of Andy “highlights”.
Nard dog be back. And he is sorry he annoyed you with his friendship.
I love how Dwight and Andy started out trying to compete for Erin with music and they ended up just bro-ing out and jamming
3:14 *Furiously shakes snow globe*
"One of your students, is a byyeetch."
"I want to take out an ad in your yearbook: full page, 2 words..."
Good luck
@Loya I think it was "Love you". Definitely
DylanK25 _ nah I think it was nipple llamas
definitely along the lines of ‘fuck off’ or ‘you suck’
Good luck.
I love how Jim is trying his hardest to save it.
I started REALLY loving his character when he couldn't comprehend Jack Black's movie evaluation by Jim and Pam. Totes adorbs!
That's one of my favorite throwaway gags. Lol. Just how smoothly it all fit in with the real drama between Jim and Pam.
I loved that too! I wanna watch that one now.. Do you guys remember what episode that was?
Ellen Haney Thanks mate!
Should have included the way he stands by the receptionist's desk with his legs wide open to lower his abdomen and be at the level of the desk. I always found that little detail really hilarious 😂😂😂
"Not my job, not my prob. I'm going to the warehouse to polish my knob"
-Andy Bernard
Andy was the funniest when he questioned his sexuality😂
“Almost makes you wonder if it was not coincidence at all.
Whoa...
Which it is, of course.
But it makes you wonder” - Nard Dog
"who told you that? Did Broccoli Rob tell you that?"
Mike Smith you suck
"Michael.... am I gay?"
4:30 and 5:27
I keep having to remind myself that this guy was the one who sang "How Bad Can I Be" from the lorax
That YES from Jim @ 5:57 😂😂even though he had no idea wtf was going on .!!!!
Also the pulling out the knife by Dwight in the same scene😂😂.. always ready yeah
"I had no idea"
"well, that's not gonna hold up in court"
I love the sudden concern on Jim's face when he realized one of the teenagers might be Andy's girlfriend.
1:10 I forgot how chill Jim looks considering the situation
Matt G lol you’re right 😂
of course he's chill, he doesn't care if he bullies someone to the point of putting a fist through a wall.
There should be “The Worst of Toby Flenderson”
