Everything after Michael left fell apart my friend. Just write off last few seasons and make mike leaving the last episode and close the book.... Albeit i seriously watch the one where deangelo leaves in the stretcher...... 😅
@@holeindanssock156 the first season i felt was okay, but yeah it fell off the rails pretty quickly after that also the espresso episode is the cringeiest (in a bad way) episode of tv ever... ugh
I will never forgive them for what they did to Andy. Wasn't season 8 all about his growth both as a person and as a boss? He was finally happy and then you do this to him?
Right, instead he choose to humiliate her, treat her like trash, insulting her. He even move her desk near a garbage disposal so everyone would trow things at her. Not to mention he said to her she would make a terrible mother. He only wrote a letter recommendation cause he realized he made Erin cry. And then he made Erin cry again by leaving her for his boat trip. What a guy lol
They had a solid character but when Ed Helms got more popular from the Hangover they seemed to want to run Andy into the ground. They built him up to absolutely demolish him
Ed Helms extremely talented actor, singer, and musician. Proof in how much some commenters hate Andy so much. My favorite Andy moments: - wall punch - " Micheal, am I gay?" - Andy and Dwight's version of "Country Roads" - The fire's shooting at us😂😂😂😂😂 OMG 😂😂😂😂
Sorry I annoyed you with my friendship, Typical Andy Bernard. They thoroughly ruined his character to render him unbearable, in later seasons., especially his ‘boat days’
Sooooo fucking stupid how the writers completely destroyed Andy's character (that they've been developing over multiple seasons) with their own hands smh
I actually loved the last seasons after Michael left and Jim and Pam were finally together, as it left a lot more space for other characters and romances to develop. And I loved hating Andy, he was a really great over-the-top nemesis to the office as a whole, and a reminder that if people can change for the better, they may as well change for the worse. ❤ Unpopular opinion I know, but he made me laugh a lot in his villain phase. 😊
I do like Andy in season 9, because of the episode where he brings back the exes of Pete and Erin to make them fight. It felt like a good moment to be honest cause I fuckin hate Pete. Seriously the worst character they could implement into the show, as he joins the office, right from the beginning he is judgemental and has an attitude, and he is never close to funny. At least they tried with Clark. Pete is just trash.
BRO fr thats so true I never liked Pete he had no fricking personality at all whatsoever. I mean I didn’t like Andy in season 9 bc of the whole boat thing but even he doesn’t come close to how bad characters like Pete or Nellie were
0:39 that was funny tho 💀💀 after the boat thing i hated andy and i dont know why they did that to him but there was nothing i hated more than when they tried to humanize nellie
Honestly, even in his 'good times' he was unberable with a few good moments/jokes. The 'Todd Packer' episode was ruined because of his subplot: yet again he was being a total brat and trying to shift the blame to Pam as if she was wrong and, because a good part of the fandom likes to hate on Pam, they side with him.
Gabe x Andy are the best dark slash couple to write from the office. I’ve written a bunch of fics of them that I have never uploaded because they’re both so toxic and unhinged.
Andy's decline in the later seasons is really confusing. The show often had unlikeable characters by design, but even then, Andy's development feels really out of place. It really sucks too because he could've been one of the best characters if they stuck the landing.
From what I read ed helm had to skip office shooting in season 9 and went did the hangover sequel. So that writers had to change his story. But I don’t know.
Andy slowly kindled his relationship with Erin, only to be dumped bc he had to film the Hangover. Knowing that is the worst part of rewatching this show.
As annoying as andy became, I really like how they made him into michael and nellie into toby. Nellie was so annoying at that point in the show and Im glad they made Andy take her down a peg and make her a little more likeable
Andy should have never been a long term character. A season or two and that's it. The office was really really bad once he became "manager". It was just silly and stupid by that point.
Half of the Season 9 arc is just tearing down Andy. I liked what they did with Dwight. Oscar and Angela shine. But the rest of season 9 is actually awful imo
This is when The Office went downhill. Thankfully they kinda fixed it at the end but I what they did to Andy reflected the whole season (worst season).
Andy is the most frustrating character because all of his character development got thrown out the window and he became a mean stupid joke

@@NewSmithsonian Real, that espresso episode feels like one of those dumb-fun sitcons for children. All that was lacking was the laugh tracks.
Try watching game of thrones. You would be pissed how it ends
I really hated his post-Erin era. He actively refused to consider anyone beside himself. He gave into the narcissism.
Well people can easily go this way
narddogcissim*
Hell yeah that’s what I’m talking about let’s go
He let the intrusive thoughts win
Look how they massacred my nard dog 😭

You may not like Andy Bernard, but Ed Helms played him brilliantly.
"This is the WORST!"
- SCOTT, Michael
I hated season 8 and 9 Andy. The writers really Shruted it. They must have been free-basing radon and helium and shot up crack during that time.
Somehow i never hated him 👀
The andy from mid seasons resides in my heart so permanently that even last seasons andy doesn't bother me
You are strong my friend
YES SAME it's like people forget close to 5 seasons of andy being awesome. And have one season of andy being a jerk
@@pazvstheworld EXACTLY! i love that andy permanently
Andy begins as a despicable character, then becomes a nice guy we can relate to, and goes back being despicable in the end
they pulled a real Jamie Lannister with Andy 😢
Despite all things I disagree about his character development, he should've indeed fired Nelly when he got the company back to David.
I hated Nelly during season 8, but somehow she became way more likeable during s9
Right, instead he choose to humiliate her, treat her like trash, insulting her. He even move her desk near a garbage disposal so everyone would trow things at her. Helms was absent throughout the later seasons because he was shooting "The Hangover 3", sweetheart... that's why they had to adapt Andy's character.
@redacted2275 that's literally my comment? You don't have to write bad plotlines for a character because the actor is busy
That season 8 arc should not have happened. His character was developing so well before that.
Ed Helms extremely talented actor, singer, and musician. Proof in how much some commenters hate Andy so much. My favorite Andy moments:

Hahaha Creed and Kevin came in so strong in the last few seconds I'm dead
I thought that was Han Solo in the thumbnail at first! I don't remember that hairstyle of his at all😂
I feel like Ed Helms pissed off the writers or something cause this was diabolical

Normal Andy was the best Andy.
He was legit my favorite character throughout season 6. I don’t know if I can make it through season 8/9 😭

They did Andy so badly in the latter season. Unforgivable

Andy Bernard is the worst Office character. From day one.
I really thought the Andy vs Dwight dynamic would've been in this video.
Back when writers wrote for his character
Everything he did to Nellie was fair game. She literally stole the man’s job just because he was on leave. No sympathy for her.
They really tried to recreate the passing ships in the night idea like with Pam and Jim with erin and Andy but it just lacked the effort.
he was a loveable character until the boat trip. hated how the writers just blatantly ruined him like that
Who exactly wanted a compilation of maybe the worst storyline/arc in the show's history? Who?
Andy Bernard😂

But I don’t think he was bad as a manager, maybe at the end, lol !
Andy _ The king of shrewding up😊

NBC sucks the life out of shows. Ed Helms is just all the schlock
Worst character in the show.
Everything would’ve been different if Jim weren’t so smudge and had just called him Drew.
It was one of the most annoying developments of a character and for me is the only blemish on this show!
God I hated (and still hate) Andy Bernard, just the absolute worst/most annoying character there is!
The best era😂😂😂

Andy sucks. I hated that character from beginning to end. Not funny, just irritating.
The whole series could’ve easily done without him and I don’t think anything would be missing. Worst tv character ever written.
