Pat Proft, about the Charlie/Martin Sheen joke: « Joe Roth, the head of the studio, was also very supportive. If on the set, a
joke or a visual came up, no matter the cost, they'd let us do it. One day, I had the idea of a vietnam era boat passing Topper Harley's. There, we find Martin Sheen from Apocalypse Now. They point at each other as they pass one another shouting, « I loved you in Wall Street! ». A great joke but it costed six figures to make. We had to fly in a boat and get Martin. But Roth knew how great a joke that was so the studio popped for it. »

Rabinowitz was the guy they were going to put in a life raft in the first movie. Now he's part of the special forces team. Played by Ryan Stiles, who was also Dominic "Mailman" Farnham in the first movie.

There was a documentary made of the making of Apocalypse Now- Heart of Darkness a filmmaker’s apology ( all the crazy stuff that went on during the process of making the film ).
So Hot Shots Part Deux made a parody version - called Hearts of Hot Shots Part Deux - a filmmaker’s apology
    Part one

    Arsenic and Old Lace
    Foul Play
    The Fugitive
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
    LA Story
    Meatballs
    Seems Like Old Times
    Sleepless in Seattle
    Soap Dish
There are a ton more, but you already have many.

Based on all of these slapstick comedy films you guys watch/enjoy, I would definitely recommend Big Trouble (Not Big Trouble in Little China, just 'Big Trouble'). It spans the gap between slapstick antics and a more conventional comedy film, and has an epic cast (Many of them before they were really famous), including Tim Allen, Rene Russo, Zooey Deschannel, Sofia Vergara, Andy Richter, Stanley Tucci, Johnny Knoxville, Dennis Farina, Patrick Warburton, Jason Lee, Omar Epps, Janeane Garofalo, Tom Sizemore, Ben Foster, DJ Qualls, and many more--including a cameo from Martha Stewart. National Lampoon's named it one of the 10 funniest films of all-time at one point. I don't know if Matthew has seen it either, but I would love to see both of your reactions if so. Keep doing great videos!

Hello lovely Summerlins, you are my favorite react channel in 2020. Delightful as you are, I have a strange request (or proposal if you will) to branch out a little bit more: Could you guys - pretty please make a video, where you both talk about your D&D Experiences, I am a huge TTRPG Nerd and since you guys mentioned it a couple of times (and wearing cool Nerd-shirts) - I am curious about your Game. And I am sure, I am not alone... Answers for Questions like... Since when do you play D&D? Who is DMing? Who is playing with you (your group as potential guests)? What characters are you playing? And favorite D&D stories, moments or bits... Please think about it.

    "No, Sir."

    "Not me, Sir."
"No no no, I was just offering him a young lady."

I love that you checked this movie out. I'd say it was sillier and maybe has more obvious jokes than the first one, but I've loved it since I was a kid and a lot of it went over my head. So although I still love it, nostalgia definitely plays a role.
That said this is one of my go-to feel-good movies, something you can put on no matter the mood and get a laugh out of me.
I'm glad you liked it and the sneezing mouse was always one of my favorites bits. 😄

Yes! T2 reference was missed! Yes! They both said Hot Shots 1 was better! Yes! He is her slave! Yes! Its more hilarious to pay attention to that! Yes! Even though I said all this... I would especially love to see both reactions to "KIDS"... Or "KRAMPUS" or even... "THE THING" or "THE FLY"... (RUSSELL/GOLDBLUM) renditions!... Im sure I won't get what I'd like but I have to get attention somehow!
