I like this Dollar Tree furniture piece, too. I’ve used it to make a bench, a bookcase, a kitchen island. It’s very versatile. I love the table idea. I like using the furniture correcting markers to “paint” the wood, also.
I would love to get my hands on some Dollar Tree stain markers but they never have them at my store. This piece is really versatile. Sounds like you've gotten a lot of mileage out of them
I was given some dollar tree items including the one you used. I have never made any piece of furniture but this might be a good project to start off. Thanks for clearly showing every step. I'll need your great instruction !😊❤
Awesome transformations - 2 for 1!!! I’m watching your video on a train and can’t wait to get back home now that I’m so inspired! MUST...GET...TO...DOLLHOUSE!
Amazing! I can't cut a straight line to save my life. I've used rulers T-squares, a miter box, etc., and everything still comes out crooked - good thing I'm the only one that sees my furniture. lol
What a lovely modern table! Lucky you had spare leg bits to piece together a new leg. I hate it when bits go missing in the middle of a project, had that happen today in the middle of making a 1:12 umbrella and the tiny fastener strap thingy did a disappearing trick on me when I turned my back for a moment. Took me at least 15 minutes to find it again. Sneaky lil sucker! lol
I never found the leg I lost! It's the most bizarre thing. I've found much tinier missing pieces. I can't imagine what happened to it. Were you following TinyKeyholeMinis' video when you made your umbrella?
Awesome. I wouldn’t think the leg narrowing would make such an impact but it really does. Also if you need to cut towards your thumb with an xacto knife you can put a bandaid on your thumb to protect it without loosing mobility. I’ve had hundreds of thumb cuts; trust me.
Absolutely. Tapering the leg is such a subtle thing but it can completely change the look. I have rubber finger caps I bought at the dollar tree. I usually wear those when I'm doing something sketchy.
@@queencityminis I have those and never use them because they’re bulky. You can barely feel bandaids. Well they’re useful for carving polymer clay at least lol.
I used the bottom of the desk for the top of the nightstand. The nightstand is much more delicate so such a thick top would've looked strange. I do have a miter box and saw but I wanted to show how to get through thick wood with just a craft knife since that's what most people have and this is a simple project.
I own two Dremels but I never used them. I misplaced the attachments. I need to find them and start using them. I've seen miniaturists do cool things with them.
You are the bomb👍👍👍👩🏽🦱👩🏽🦱👩🏽🦱 I’m working on a haunted doll house and want to make the twisted wire chairs and paint them black. Do you have any teaching videos with metal wire designs. Thanks, Amy
I have a video where I painted vintage wire wicker black. It looks great. I haven't personally made any wire furniture though. I've seen Sugar Charm Shop show some soldering videos where she makes furniture.
Hi do you know the answer to this? I was able to get a few of those plastic bottles that have the thin metal tips. Can I put any kind of glue in that or does it have to be a water-based glue?
Great way to personalise store bought furniture!!
Thank you! 😊

I love these upgrades. They make dollhousing affordable. Thank you.
Absolutely! Dollhouse can be made very cheaply from recyclables and trash as well as Dollar Tree finds.
I miss the days when spools of thread were made of 🪵 wood
Thank you for letting us know how to do this with out having a dollar tree. I love the table.
You are so welcome! I'd love to see this style as a dining table or a desk with drawers.
Great furniture conversion! Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching!

That's great! I know you can do it. Have fun 😊
Love it, two for one, and both are so cute, great tutorial too, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure! These simple techniques could also be used to make a dining table as well.
Excellent! Great idea! Thanks 😊
Glad it was helpful!
You have so much patience! Love these transformations.
Thank you! 😊
Simple and efficient
Thank you!

Awesome! I love that feeling of being inspired and really wanting to do something Miniature related. It's so much fun.
I always love your dollar tree conversions. I’m about to do a few myself…lol…what would I do without that store!
That sounds great! You always come up with ideas I never thought of.
Great idea!
Thanks! I'm really happy with how this turned out using only simple tools.
Great ideas!💜💜💜
Thank you! 😊
Really cool
Thank you :)
Thank you
My pleasure :)

I think my motto is "close enough".

That's very true. They're definitely bulky. They don't even fit on my fingertips and I don't have big hands.
I thought you used part of the top for the end table? This turned out pretty sleek anyway. You don't have a miter box and miter saw for thicker wood?
I'm looking into a dremel and kit.

Wow, thank you. Soldering is out of my lane😉😉 but thanks for letting me know😉
I've seen the Square to Spare use gel super glue instead of soldering.
You can clean stain from your brush with rubbing alcohol.
Thank you! That's a good tip

I would assume water-based only. Most miniaturists use wood glue in their precision tip bottles.
