I bought one of those tables and turned it into a lighted vanity with a mirror and fairy lights also from dollar tree. It’s my favorite piece in my dollhouse bathroom.

As usual, I’m late to the party, but maybe you’ll see my comment, who knows. I have been seeing decoupage videos come through my RUclips feed lately and as you started this project I thought how fun it would be to do that technique in miniature! That might be a fun experiment at some point.

I’m all the way back here looking at how I can customize these wooden items for a Barbie house I’m working on. I want drawers for some jewelry and cosmetics I’ve collected. I found some clear acrylic map pins at Target to use for handles.

I love this range of furniture. We have these in the UK but pay more than that for it. It’s only a few quid. The drawers are my favourite. I use them in an abandoned room model I did, had fun painting them. Love your work xxx

Appreciate the description of the painting technique and would love to see aging techniques too. I'm a very rough beginner at miniatures and I actually bought these two pieces a while ago in an attempt to make my first dollhouse out of a small white crate. Super cute stuff, thank you :)

1:14 It does look like poor quality plywood but it looks “poor quality “ because it’s not plywood it’s BALsa wood.
Plywood would look nicer than that stuff.

Not fond of the colour scheme (the table in particular I was expecting something glossy/stained), but watching your techniques was interesting :3 those handles are a marvel in themselves
Thanks :) The great thing about dollar store furniture is you can purchase several and try out all sorts of color schemes ;) "Reallife Dollhouse Miniature"s channel has done the table several different ways and got really creative.

For a better result when using woodfiller, overfill and sand it back to where you want it. Woodfiller shrinks when drying, not always consistent, so it will look bretter if you overfill first. Other rhan that, great video!
I WOULD HAVE USED BALSA WOOD BUT THE CARD STOCK DOES LOOK GOOD
I turned the chests on the side, and made an apothecary cabinet, they are cheap and adaptable

1:20 I’m sure you know by now but it’s Balsa wood. Last year I bought one of each of the furniture pieces they had. I haven’t done any improvements on them yet so hopefully I get ideas from you. 😁

i took the desk type piece apart and made a drawer.
Thank you for explaining about the "crumb coat" of paint to get a smoother finish, Ive had the floofy wood problem before and didn't know how to combat it. I was only just today saying to Shyra @Queen city minis how I wished the New Zealand version of your Dollar tree stores would stock wooden dolls house furniture like these! For the false drawerfronts, could you use matboard instead of the two layers of cardstock?
These turned out really well. I love the handles. You would never know they were from dollar store.

If you don't have cash, sometimes you can make some nice looking handles out of some shortened nails, or even industrial staples.

I love the handles on the table, now I have the same table in the living room and thought I might pull it out and give it a makeover, nothing like the cocktail table lol, but just a little bit of me. I got it way back when the dollar tree sold painted furniture so it has a cheep mahogany color. But gosh.. I love the handles you put it in and the paper detail.❤️❤️

I love your handles. A time suggestion: Show MUCH less sanding (we ALL know how to do that) and more time on the detail work. It would greatly shorten the length of your video and make it more interesting and informative. Thanks for sharing your time and talent with us.

I'm trying to duplicate my grandmother's Chambers Stove for my farmhouse doll house. Any ideas or techniques would be so helpful. I love your work!
I don't currently have any videos like that available but I can add it to my idea list :) The easiest way to start a project that specific is to sketch it out front, back, top and side view! It would probably work to use materials similar to my vanity video but with lots of sanding to get those smooth curved edges! If I get the chance to make a video on this I will let you know... I think it would be a fun one to create! Thanks, Ara

On the candle chandelier, how do you get the melted candle effect on the candles?

I was considering doing this too, when I saw these at my dollar tree the other day. They looked really small, though.
