This is the first video I ever watched that made me discover Bentley House! I've been binge watching your channel for the past several weeks. My Netflix is neglected.
Fantastic idea using the stud earrings! My sweet daughter bought me some earrings last Xmas and honestly most of them are probably not my taste (I barely ever wear jewellery anyway) I didnt want to throw them away or waste them, but I know she will get a kick out of seeing them used in one of my miniatures. Thanks for the ideas
I love those, I was wondering where you found them now I know you made them. I have been searching everywhere for drawer pulls and not finding them. Don't have one of those fancy cutters but lots and lots of punches, including ones my Grandma had. So will have to try these. Thank you for the ideas and sharing. You have a wonderful day
Great idea, especially the earrings!! It may interest you to know that there are clear flat round earring backs which can be used to secure the post, if you want to make a working drawer. Just search a site like ebay or amazon, they even come in multipacks and many different styles.
Your video is very well done. Thank you for making this. I am so impressed with this. I will be using this concept in my RUclips video, as I am creating an environmentally friendly Hawaiian themed dollhouse. Thank you very much for your great ideas. Mini a Day is my site.
If you want the studs to stick out, you can probably put a tiny bed behind the stud head or even the clear earring back’s that are kind of like soft plastic rubber and then stick it in the drawer
so handy and useful 👍 really good idea. I landed here cus I need a small knob for a jewelry box but the knobs online always have a long thick screw attached to the back... basically it would render the little drawer obsolete as a big screw will be right in the middle of it. idk if that's described right. But basically this might just help.
I love the youtube rabbit hole! I found you so randomly! This was such a well produced video and easy to follow. Love the handles and yes please on hinges!!! Looking forward to more of your videos in the future!
Thank you for this comment!! I am so glad it was easy to follow and yes I am planning to do a hinges video in the future :) PS. I like your youtube name! -Ara
I love Bentley House Minis (actually I am a bit addicted) but I sure which the ads were not so loud (actually I wish there weren't any at all) anyway, tThanks for all the great videos. I have been looking for small drawer knobs, so you can imagine how happy I was to find your tutorial - Yeah!
Thank you for this inspiring video. I am in the process of making a door for a brownstone and have wanted some ideas for making door handles. This expanded my imagination. I am now a new subscriber.
I never thought that I would want a cricut, but if I really get into miniatures I just might need one. I was thinking that the hooks and bars you use for clothing would make handles too. There are several types and sizes.
Great tutorial! Thank you. I would love to see you make the other cutting machine handles. Also, would you happen to be able to give out the svg for those handles?
These are great ideas. I'm in the process of making a polymer clay marbled tear drop door handle for my mini buffet. But I would really like to see you do something similar with hinges.
These are brilliant. I just used an earring on a model diorama. I’m Fircones studios on Instagram and I paint minis... we’re instagram followers too. For metal paint... try black under paint and dry brush the metallic on top. “Golden” acrylic brand or Vallejo are particularly brilliant metallic paints. Xxx
Love ❤️ your ideas! I actually bought some children’s earring from Walmart for $.50/pr. They had a bunch of the infinity design so I bought all of that style. I bought small and medium ball style, skeleton key style, and a handful of the style you put on draw #1 & 2
Buttons are a good idea as well. I have never used them but I have a few mini buttons hanging around I may have to try out! I will try to remember to post a link to the comment when I get the hinges video done in the future. Thanks for your interest in my channel! -Ara
I can’t believe I ever commented on this video. Yes PLEASR share there hinge ideas. Also would you be interested in selling the file you created for the cameo for the knobs or would you do a tutorial for how you made them or would you at least give the measurements so I can make some. My plan is to make art room walls that are all worn and “abandoned” like your coffee shop just because I love that look. I’m going to skip the Harry Potter aspect and focus on the room. If I can find some dollar tree furniture, I’ll use those in the room. Maybe. Anyway hinges and knobs would be awesome! Thanks for sharing! 💙💙
Yes I do plan to sell my cameo files eventually. The handles and hinges would be a super easy one to get ready and put it up on my Etsy site for download. I would just need to set aside some time to get it done. The furniture patterns are more difficult because I would want to include clear directions for the purchaser. The hinge video should be coming up soon... I have been putting it off for too long!!! Thanks for the comment as always Leslie!!! :) -Ara
One reason to use the hand drill is you are more likely to split your wood with an electric drill on something so delicate. You are a great miniaturist.
@@BentleyHouseMinis Ara my 8 year old granddaughter and I can’t get any schoolwork done for being addicted to watching you. Except last night she had to watch The Adams Family. You inspire us so much and your paintings you did to turn into wallpaper were absolutely brilliant. Are you self taught or did you get to go to Art School or major in it at college. I love art but I’m now where near your expertise. I’m impressed with your computer skills too. I got the patterns to print off for the wing chair with the j peg and I’m 74 and never touched the computer till 2006 after my husband died and I realized if I broke it he couldn’t yell at me anymore, so I tried to figure it out but there is still so much I don’t know. I wish there was a class for old codgers like me to learn more. I wanted to paint in my later years but I’m raising and homeschooling my granddaughter now, so I have to live to be 100 then maybe I’ll have time to play with my art supplies. Thanks so much for you wonderful inspiration.
Nice tutorial Ara...can i use your silhouette file for my own paper furniture? Can you put it in the dutch Facebook group for miniatures made with the silhouette and Cricut machine. I know you are a member of it. Me also..Thanks..
I have thought about possibly making the files download-able through my etsy store but have not fully decided yet. If I do make them available I will let you know. I have not made any of them public as of yet. Thanks :)
Do you actually work at home for DIY? If so, how do you get a job working for them at your home? If not, pardon my ignorance LOL. By the way, these are great ideas.
Hi Kathy! DIY stands for "Do it yourself". It's not a company name or my employer. There may be a company named that but on RUclips it typically stands for "do it yourself". I hope that is helpful. Thanks so much!
@@BentleyHouseMinis Thank you very much for replying! Your tutorials are very relaxing, entertaining and educational! Looking forward to watch more of your stunning creations!😍😍😍 Huge loads of love from The Philippines!
The hand drill that I used is an xacto knife with the blade removed. You can put very small drill bits into the xacto knife and use it as a hand drill. Small drill bits can be bought at most hardware stores and xacto knives can be found at craft stores such as Hobby Lobby or Michaels.
And here I am thinking my kinda only options are old earrings I don't wear any more or have lost one of; or spending waaay too much time wrestling with a staple, trying to make it stand upright IN glue so that it bonds in the upright position. This is not one of the suggestions you invited... do not do this. Don't do it to yourself!
Holy moly! An exacto with a drill bit in it! Why have I never thought of that? It’s brilliant! Perhaps that’s why I’ve never thought of it 🤣
This is the first video I ever watched that made me discover Bentley House! I've been binge watching your channel for the past several weeks. My Netflix is neglected.
Tiny beads make lovely miniature door knobs, broken jewellery is another source. Love your ideas, thanks.
you are a genius and I can't get any house work done now that I found your videos
Haha so sorry Faye that I am keeping you from housework😉... However I myself love a good distraction lol ;)

I learn from you every day. You are so knowledgeable and a great teacher too!
Thank you for following through and making these handles for us to see. Excellent and amazing!
Howdy, just saw this on Pinterest - so darn cute! Thanks for sharing.

Love this! Could be used on luggage for miniatures that I do. Finding these pieces are hard! Thanks Ara!!!
I am so glad this helped!! Luggage is a great idea for these!!
