  • These two sofas don't have a home, just yet. And so they could be the start of a project or they are the entire project. I would love to hear your ideas on what type of scene these could be placed in? Drop a comment below and let you know your thoughts.

    My first thought while watching was, Wow - for your first kit bashing ,goin out of your comfort zone, however you want to put it, you clearly had an idea and you sounded pretty determined to make it happen - even if you weren't sure how. And you did it! I think they turned out awesome, and you've inspired me to actually try painting the fabric, look like leather. I've been doing this 20 plus years, have always wanted to try that, just never had - ya know, time/opportunity, etc... Just recently was going through furniture I had packed away about 12 yrs ago, inexpensive sofa set from hobby lobby. Glue on seat stained cushions. I was gonna completely re upholster - until you reminded and Inspired me! So, I know this video is 2 years old, but - they still have so much value! Thank you

    Thank you Gina for sharing the very practical way you go about solving problems. Leaving the fabric in one piece and cutting the trim on the bias are great ideas. It is in the layering of colour that your pieces really come to life.

    I did my first armchair a few months ago, 'trust the process' I kept saying to myself lol, like you I used modge before painting it and it turned out amazing for my first diorama, it looks like an old leather battered comfy armchair, love the chesterfields though, the colour is amazing, thank you for your video

    Maybe you can make a steampunk sitting room for an eccentric professor. It could have all kinds of things he has collected from his travels around the world, including the suitcase, a telescope, a hat stand with a top hat and goggles on it, a globe, the guns you made. The steampunk accessory list is endless but I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

      Hi Lucy, thank you I am super pleased with how these turned out, now I need to create a setting for them. The tool is a Sculpey Needle End Pointer that I bought in a pack of sculpting tools but i'm sure a tooth pick would work just as well.

    • @lucyl6425
      @lucyl6425 2 года назад

      @@GinasMiniatureStudio ahh ok on the tool. I’m not really good with polymer clay so buying sculpting tools might not be worth it to just get 1 tool out of it. Maybe I will stick with my toothpicks lol.
      I know you will find a setting to put your sofas into, just a matter of time and it will be perfect.

    Hi Gina! I truly don't know how to express the happiness, joy and gratitude this video gives me. I've been looking since last year videos or ways on how to make a miniature Chesterfield and I didn't find any until today. And it's such an amazing video!!!
    As an unemployed university student it's kind of expensive to get leather even more when I know I'm going to expend a lot of money getting another materials I'm going to use for the project that I reeeeally want to make (it's the living room of the Wayne manor, It will be a gift to a dearest friend) so this is a way that I think you really cool of solving that. What fabric did you used?
    Also, I know that my coment is very long already but I can't help my self I feel like a fan with the opportunity to tell the person that admires how awesome they are. And I really think you are AWESOME. All in capital letters hahahaha. I didn't even finish your video and was already subscribing to your chanel and went to see other of your videos and wow! I kept thinking: They're all like magic!
    You make magic and are such an amazing artist! Thank you a lot for sharing your work with us. I'm happy and thankful that I find your Chanel. Lot's of love to you. ❤

      Hi Rocio, that is very kind of you to say and I am pleased that you have found something useful to use in your own projects. I have been thinking of where these could go, as I haven't really got a plan, yet, but Wayne Manor sounds like a really cool project. ❤

      @rociogalo1086 2 года назад

      @@GinasMiniatureStudio Thank you! I'm looking forward to see how would your plan look when you find it. I'm sure it will be awesome.
      Also, I want to ask, what kind of fabric did you used?

    • @GinasMiniatureStudio
      @GinasMiniatureStudio  2 года назад +1

      @@rociogalo1086 Sorry yes you did ask that question, I used a light weight cotton fabric, it has less bulk when fitting it around the sofa. I used a colour that I knew would work with the paint colour and that didn’t have a pattern as I didn’t want it to show thru the paint. Hope that helps 😊

    Any plans for Victorian furniture? I'm about to build a Victorian that has ghosts. Not a dark and sinister but a fairly new house complete with ghosts, flickering lights, doors opening and closing, cabinets opening, and a live Séance. If you have any sources or websites, please tell me. Thanks and this is nice.

    Use them in a Gentleman's club from the 18th/19 century. Fireplace, couches, smoking jackets, cigars and brandy.

      Would also love the pattern. I've been looking for a leather chair/couch technique. Just beautiful work with the red. Very clever. You could include this in a library or mystery roombox. I'm looking to use it in a miniature escape room scene. Maybe Sherlock Holmes or Poirot themed.
