If you find yourself in the Anniversary Edition, don’t skip fishing. An item that can be found in the junk table ( after all fish are caught) is the Ring of Wind, a very nice lil’ ring that boosts your move speed by 15%. Combine the speed boost with an altmer character and you can leave horses in the dust. I Am Speed!
Btw you don’t need to finish the fishing quests to get it, there’s a smaller chance but still a chance you get it while just fishing without the final rod!

May just be me but i find your voices sometimes quite hard to tell apart and would help construct the individual's narrative of each part of their race more clearly. love the content and idea of it

For future videos: U can make a shortcut by jumping in wall in the upper right corner 1:46 of whiterun's gate. And after that just hit a guard and pay for "fast transport" to jarl. 23:14 just run into people who stand and talk so u can skip their dialogue.

You should do a race like this except with the "Skyrim World Randomizer" mod, and make the goal to enter the interior of all the major holds. If you don't know the mod, it randomizes all the doors in the game, so entering a cave could bring you to a random house or something.
You should maybe try that one spell that let's you entomb and unleash an animal or person to do a Skyrim Pokemon tournament, but there is like a race starting from like a major city and you get like 10 minutes to find something to entomb and battle with...

I’m surprised no one tried the horse catapult glitch. When riding on a horse stand on a rock so that the horse is leaning almost horizontal, then get off the horse. Unless it’s been patched out you will then suddenly fly off at like Mach 10 across the map. Sure, stopping is fun, but it could be an amazing strat.
You should have put a little challenge at each of the holds. Like having to do a radiant quest, having to steal a certain gold value of items, having to shoot a cabbage out in the distance from a certain spot, or having to kill a guard or smth.
"They'd be risking a decent time loss to find them." Literally can't be more than 15 seconds lost. You could wander into one of the meet up points six hours late and only be behind by 15 seconds by these rules.
I've never bothered to remember all the overworld entrances to Blackreach, so asking someone who does: do you think it would have been a viable strat to gather a bunch of bowls or plates or whatever to clip through the tower gates and use Blackreach to traverse distances more quickly (since Blackreach distances are compressed)? Or would the towers be too far out of the way to make up for the time gained by using Blackreach?
It’s fun but I’d be intrigued by how better player would fare. I just thought about how no one punched a guard to do automatically to the palace or things like that. Also I wonder if going straight for the jarls without thinking about the distractions would be a better strategy
so you just go for all the loot locations first after all you at most lose 15 seconds after the first checkpoint even if you take 5h longer to get there cause you got all the helpfull items i don't see how that is not the only viable option unless i missed something (better watch it to the end i guess XD)

I think some testing needs to go into what kind of weapons actually work against players. So far novice destruction and paralysis isn't much for combat.

Shadowmere is not faster, it has more health or health regen, but Frost is the fastest horse in the game with a 25% speed boost
