Thank you talking about this. The fact that this happened and that hospital staff got caught trying to leak medical records from the Carlee Russell case is absolutely vile and disgusting. While I like to watch true crime for educational purposes, we need to acknowledge that there is a serious problem in the true crime community where people think that they are entitled to reveal/monetize private and sensitive information like that.
Facts are very important and there's zero proof that anyone was fired or anything was leaked. It all started from people posting on Twitter that folks they knew got fired at uab, and they were hiring 50 slots because of it. I do not believe for one second 50 Individuals at a single hospital all tried to hack and leak the same patient records, especially considering NOTHING was actually leaked to the news or social media, just people claiming that people were fired en mass.

i have been a true crime viewer my entire life and at no point have i ever wanted to look at autopsy photos , i’ve read and looked at reports which show the wounds marked on a paper outline of a human but even that gets hard sometimes and to imagine these people selling a poor child’s autopsy photos breaks my heart
As a relative to a beautiful woman who was brutally murdered and disposed of by a serial killer, I cannot fathom the pain my family would endure knowing images of her body were not only released to the public but behind a paywall. None of us have seen those photos nor would we want to. My cousin’s story was re-enacted on a major network tv show and even that was unbearable to watch. Why would someone seek out such images, and of a minor? I’m sick just imagining the mind of the person who wants to witness such violence.

I use to watch Zav Girl. I stopped when she platformed the lady that wrote the book about Chris Watts but plagiarized nearly the entire book. She platformed her AFTER she was outed for plagiarism. And now to hear zav girl has done this…I’m glad I didn’t give her more of my time. The complete lack of empathy is mind blowing.
I tried watching her videos a couple of times but I got massive red flags both times, so I just didn’t bother anymore 😬… I especially started disliking her when the Leticia trial was going on and she kept making edits with Ganon’s face all over it and it was kinda gross to me like she was exploiting his image even after the trial ended. So disturbing to find out she went further than that

There are so many cases I’ve watched where the person says “I’m not posting the autopsy photos, but you can view them yourself online.” And I don’t think posting them on her patreon was “having someone pay for them”. It’s completely different than posting “send me 5$ and I’ll send you the photos.” Did she advertise it? “Sign up for my patreon if you want to see the photos”?

I think what can rub people the wrong way with her is that she can be a bit intense. She is very opinionated, but definitely let's people know what her opinion is and what is fact. But she can be harsh so I can see how she's not for everyone. I love her fierceness as much as I love Kendall's softness. And not so say Stephanie is heartless or anything, she's just more aggressive.
I used to be a volunteer EMT/Firefighter- and in the profession you do have to detach yourself (to keep your sanity) but still need to show respect and support for families going through the emergency. However, when it's personal it hits harder. My husband passed away in 2019 at the age of 47 of a massive heart attack. Our grown daughter found him on the floor. He passed through the night in the bathroom and we didn't hear him. It was too late. I was trained and all I could do was scream and cry on the phone with 911 because I knew it was final. I do think first hand experience (of a trauma, court room, etc) does make you have different perspective.

I had a friend killed by a drunk driver during my senior year of highschool. I imagined if someone did that to my friend, and I feel like I’m being ripped open. I just interviewed Bianca Devins's Mom regarding this subject!! Her mom got the Bianca Devins law passed in New York State but has fought hard to make it a Federal law!! The evil person that murdered Bianca took photos and posted them all over social media and still today family members are still getting these photos sent to them!! I just couldn't imagine going through something like this! No family should ever have to go through this again!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
My best friend was murdered by a serial killer. I know all too well what the family went through! Including a trial, and his eventual execution. It effects me to this day!
I am so glad you covered this as a survivor as a victim as a trauma nurse and a person going through chemo and grieving and using creators like you who cover true crime to fill my silence yet so load . I have left your name in comment sections that you are one of few I feel help give the voice to the voiceless and treat the individuals as if they were people you know and knew and asking a platform for help to change laws and lives and give important valuable lessons to save others like me becoming victims. As a volunteer police officer wha happened here was very harmful to a community that is often a breeding ground for sluthes that think they are investigators and cause harm not all the few. Also how this shows as in my jobs if you feel as if your becoming desensitised to such losx then you shouldn't ever choose to cover crime with victims. This woman not once did what I do as a nurse a army medic a volunteer police officer and picture the faces of family and treat them as such. To break the news of a childs life to a parent then watch that parent relive it unable to stand a a scream so primal its only heard never could be mimicked. You tube is my safe space this person took away a whole platform from a victims father I would not be here if not for this platform . She did this and I hope its not forgotten. 💛

I have never heard of zavgirl before. I only watch kendall/mh, stephanie harlowe and crime weekly for true crime as i feel like theres a lot of creators who arent respectful of victims and are doing it for completely the wrong reasons. I get people using patreon to fund their channels (stephanie/crime weekly do and you get the videos earlier than yt releases and ad free) but ive seen them fund cold cases to be solved with their work. The thing is, if people were a supporter at the 3 dollar level to get her new releases, you wouldn't know in advance she was going to post something so awful- imagine how traumatic that was for people. I cant even begin to imagine how Gannons Dad feels. Its such a sad case already, its so horrible

Omg, we've had the same problem w air mattresses the last 5 yrs too!! Also, my DH was waking up w bad hip pain too, but he figured out that putting a pillow between his legs helped a lot. I had been considering going to school to be a medical examiner and when I spoke to one, they said I should look at a few autopsy photos on a specific study guide to see if I still wanted to do it. The third picture was to show stippling from a gunshot wound and it was on the side of a little boy's head. I was done right then. I saw that almost twenty years ago and I can still see it because it burned into my brain. It was one of the worst, most shocking things I have ever seen and I'm clearly not cut out for that job. This chick is so out of line it's mind blowing.

And I don’t think posting them on her patreon was “having someone pay for them”. It’s completely different than posting “send me 5$ and I’ll send you the photos.”

I think what can rub people the wrong way with her is that she can be a bit intense. She is very opinionated, but definitely let's people know what her opinion is and what is fact. But she can be harsh so I can see how she's not for everyone.
I love her fierceness as much as I love Kendall's softness. And not so say Stephanie is heartless or anything, she's just more aggressive.

I used to be a volunteer EMT/Firefighter- and in the profession you do have to detach yourself (to keep your sanity) but still need to show respect and support for families going through the emergency. However, when it's personal it hits harder. My husband passed away in 2019 at the age of 47 of a massive heart attack. Our grown daughter found him on the floor. He passed through the night in the bathroom and we didn't hear him. It was too late. I was trained and all I could do was scream and cry on the phone with 911 because I knew it was final. I do think first hand experience (of a trauma, court room, etc) does make you have different perspective.

I had a friend killed by a drunk driver during my senior year of highschool. I imagined if someone did that to my friend, and I feel like I’m being ripped open. I am so glad you covered this as a survivor as a victim as a trauma nurse and a person going through chemo and grieving and using creators like you who cover true crime to fill my silence yet so load . I have left your name in comment sections that you are one of few I feel help give the voice to the voiceless and treat the individuals as if they were people you know and knew and asking a platform for help to change laws and lives and give important valuable lessons to save others like me becoming victims. As a volunteer police officer wha happened here was very harmful to a community that is often a breeding ground for sluthes that think they are investigators and cause harm not all the few. Also how this shows as in my jobs if you feel as if your becoming desensitised to such losx then you shouldn't ever choose to cover crime with victims. This woman not once did what I do as a nurse a army medic a volunteer police officer and picture the faces of family and treat them as such. To break the news of a childs life to a parent then watch that parent relive it unable to stand a a scream so primal its only heard never could be mimicked. You tube is my safe space this person took away a whole platform from a victims father I would not be here if not for this platform . She did this and I hope its not forgotten. 💛

I have never heard of zavgirl before. I only watch kendall/mh, stephanie harlowe and crime weekly for true crime as i feel like theres a lot of creators who arent respectful of victims and are doing it for completely the wrong reasons. I get people using patreon to fund their channels (stephanie/crime weekly do and you get the videos earlier than yt releases and ad free) but ive seen them fund cold cases to be solved with their work. The thing is, if people were a supporter at the 3 dollar level to get her new releases, you wouldn't know in advance she was going to post something so awful- imagine how traumatic that was for people. I cant even begin to imagine how Gannons Dad feels. Its such a sad case already, its so horrible

I had been considering going to school to be a medical examiner and when I spoke to one, they said I should look at a few autopsy photos on a specific study guide to see if I still wanted to do it. The third picture was to show stippling from a gunshot wound and it was on the side of a little boy's head. I was done right then. I saw that almost twenty years ago and I can still see it because it burned into my brain. It was one of the worst, most shocking things I have ever seen and I'm clearly not cut out for that job. This chick is so out of line it's mind blowing.

I understand that some people have a hard time feeling empathy/sympathy for people, even a victim and/or their families, but THIS... this "human" has shown such utter disrespect to this grieving family and has not only shamed herself, she's completely gotten in the way of this family's healing. I truly do hope that she's feeling a mass amount of guilt. MAYBE she'll become a better person because of it, but if she can do something this heinous, is she even capable? Probably not. And all for financial gain. I wish I could put my thoughts into words, but I know others understand. She is beyond disgusting.
