I have a 2000. Exact color shell etc. and want this build. I am always in the area and will stop by for a consult. My truck has 150k miles and is in perfect condition. This looks awesome.

Just curious with respect. I installed spc control arms on my 2001 Tundra, bilstein 2.5 adj. 5100, ko2 265 -75 -16 tires ......did not require wheel spacers for clearance, did you go with fitter tires or ???? Very curious, with respect. Thank You_ I may use your shop in the future

How high is that lift with the rear leaf springs?

  • @RickG13

How much lift did these coilovers give? Its looks like more than 3" yet the UCAs are not at a sharp downward angle at all. Im just trying tonunderstand the different lifting methods and make a decision for my 02

Sorry to be 'that guy' but what is the tire spec on this truck? I thought that with the +4 offset on the TRD wheels that 285's would clear the upper control arms. Would I need to go to a 0 or neg offset wheel to clear 285's? I'm trying to avoid spacers on my 1st gen. Thanks and nice work!

It's my understanding that 4.5 inches of backspacing is minimum required. 8" wide wheel would need to be -6. But I think these are less than 8" wide, aren't they?

Pretty sure those wheels are more like a +15mm offset, which is why they need spacers for 285's. They sit really tight and with the 285's they're just high enough that at full lock they rub on the UCA. They'll prob rub the frame too. Regardless, these 1st gens are so awesome. Miss mine. This one looks super clean! Well done!

It was REALLY close, the tire had about 1/4" clearance to the UCA at full lock. I also forgot to mention it but the tire was close to the ADS resi, so the spacers helped clear both! We probably could have gotten away without them, but rather play it safe, plus, the little bit wider stance fills out the wheel wells perfectly.

How are the ADS vs Bilstein 6112? Whats the difference in ride quality etc?
