    Sweet, did it end up sitting level or did it still have a slight rake after the upgraded leaf springs, shackles and shocks?

      I don’t have the truck anymore but it had a slight rake still which was nice

    Do you need to wire brush the rusty areas before coating them?

    I scored thr same wheels and tires from craigslists for my 1st gen. Looks great!

    How did you like the upper control arms. I'm about to jump on some total chaos but saw ur video and ur budget build actually looks really good quality for the prices on your parts. How's the truck been since then?

      I don’t have the tundra anymore but they were good for the price I had no issues with them

    I have virtually the exact same truck and very similar suspension. Same rims but I went with ultra terrains.

      Nice I’m actually switching out the wheels and tires for a different set with the correct offset. I lost a wheel spacer and wheel driving down the road probably my fault for not re checking the torque on the spacers but I’m just going with a wheel that doesn’t require them now for piece of mind lol

      @@Vehiclesupportedtravel thats horrifying. What brand were the spacers? were you out wheeling it before it fell off?

    • @Vehiclesupportedtravel
      @Vehiclesupportedtravel  Год назад

      @@bruceberry1384 no just driving to work lol. They were spidertrax but again I’m pretty sure it was from me not checking the torque and rushing to get the lift done

    Did you do the big brake upgrade from the gx460’s if not what calipers are those? Stock rotor and caliper size?

    • @Vehiclesupportedtravel
      @Vehiclesupportedtravel  8 месяцев назад

      I didn’t I wish I had researched more before I did the breaks but I did them first thing. They are stock size rotors and calipers from powerstop

    Completely transformed the truck looks great! Also the 16inch wheels with a chunky sidewall looks really good on that truck

    Just did a same upgrade on my first Gen with stereo, unfortunately have’t touched front suspension…it really needs an entire overhaul! But not wanting to sink money on IFS, hopefully it will be sitting on a Dana 60 by the end of winter 🤘🏽, I need to upload a video of my setup, got a similar camper like yours, in regards to rear leafs I kinda made my own..has worked amazing with added weight and overall drivability.

    I see guys swearing by the red high angle cv boots on factory shafts . Nice build man I have a 2000 access cab 4x4 I've been rehabbing into a adventure rig

      I might have to get some because with the 2” lift it’s extending the boots and throwing grease

    Also if you're planning to do anything to your exhaust check out Keith Carty Racing he makes custom bolt-on kit's you can choose from and also 12 hole injectors. He has a website if you Google him

    Great transformation, and im glad you kept the "raked" look of it too! I own an 02' and in the process of refreshing her as well, was looking for a decent set of leaf spring to swap out my tired ones for and I think I foudn them. I'm going with Bilstein 5100's on all 4's with Eibach springs so it should be lifted in the front a bit but I love the raked look these smaller trucks have so I wanted to get a decent set of leafs that won't break the bank while also maintaining that stance. Are you going to install a rear sway bar at some point too? Hellwig sells a decent front and rear set, it's hard finding aftermarket for these 1st gen's haha.
