I am creating a 1.1 of the project right now that addresses lots of critiques and appreciate the feedback a ton :) Grigori and RTBR's Ravenholm obviously mean a ton to me! Going forward even after 1.1 I plan to support Salvation with patches for performance but for now after 1.1 my focus is on Div 3
Heyyy awesome to see you here! You were phenomenal! :D I am looking forward to 1.1, I will probably put the patch notes either in the description or my pinned comment when that happens :P
that line at around the 2:30 mark "this town is not your grave, and no longer are you welcomed in it" has GOT to be a reference to the end of the mission regret in halo 2
My take on Annabelle and her relationship to Fr. Grigori is that she was in fact his wife, not girlfriend. This is because, if we presume that Grigori is a priest in the Orthodox Church, then he could get married before becoming a priest. It is also often the case that priests won't wear their wedding bands while performing liturgical services, and it is possible that Grigori lost his wedding band during this or some other context while the Combine invasion took place. Just food for thought.
13:10 I think that explosion may have been a result of the second pyre Grigori lit, as it was directly underneath a water tower from what I remember. I could be wrong, though.
Hej there! Also a genius idea to have put subtitle on almost if not all videos as I'm Polish/French and make me understand everything keep the good work you won another subscriber and the community of this channel seems really cool!
Grigori having a RTB:R spinn-off just opens the gate for an Alyx or Barney one as well, hell we could even have a Captain Vance spin-off at some point showing us how the 7 Hour War was in this universe for example or how serving the Combine as a conscript is but from the perspective of the conscripts themselves. In the end is all about what the dev team of RBT:R want to do with their iteration of the Beta as the mod itself is still a long way from being finished. The next Division is going to be Gordon's journey to the Wastelands and later to the Depot which is not even half of the story yet.
The Ravenholm presented in the base mod and the spin off reminded me a lot of Raccon City from Resident Evil 3 (the original from the PS1). Featuring claustrophic streets and buildings but at the same time overcrowed with broken makeshift barricades and abandoned vehicules, giving off the impression that people tried to dig in across the city, making haphazard safe zones in an attemp to hold out for as long as they could before being overruned by the zombies.
I’m personally a huge fan of the melee weapons, especially since I really enjoy the category weapon system of Half-Life and how easy it is to switch between your whole arsenal. And another small detail, the baby headcrabs *are* in base RTBR! They’re not technically in the Ravenholm area as they’re in the mine on Gordon’s way out.
Yea, i'm pretty sure that the creator played and loved the old halo games. At 2:30 what grigori says was cleary a Halo 2 reference (The end of Regret when chief gets caught by the Gravemind)
Well.Portal 2 has a zoom function, while for the co-op campaign this makes some sense since the main protagonists of co-op are robots(Atlas and P-Body) but for Chell it really doesn't. Her wearing a tank top, the top of the Aperture Science jumpsuit tied around her waist and long fall boots.
13:32 the button is a igniter for the gas, it doesn't do anything because it's already lit, also the hole that you peak it's the path Gordon takes in RTBR. (also fun fact the baby headcrabs come from the Gornarch in the mines)
7:16 Wait, Gordon had neither a helmet nor a visor in HL1 & HL2. All he had were his glasses... unless... ...My god; he was wearing Google Glass the whole time!
1 quick question! About that Half Life 2 MMOD Gameplay footage you were using in this video, which Half Life 2 version were you using with MMOD In that gameplay footage? Half Life 2 Vanilla or Half Life 2 Update?
To be fair, a lot of games have a quick melee button nowadays. So having a dedicated melee weapon can still work and not interfere with the flow, if quick melee attacks are available via a key press.
I understand preferring the kick to a melee weapon even if I don't myself, but you can't really call it outdated like you do in the video as a kick was in Duke Nukem 3D which released before Half-life. The part about Hyperart was great and really fun to learn. I've seen some ladders leading nowhere in my life so it's nice to know what to call them.
I'm pretty sure since The game they making is based off the Beta, Like the Half-Life 2 beta And the other will be the Portal beta game they are working on, Just like what you mention about the Cancelled "Ravenholm" Game. This game is inspired by or Based off the Ravenholm Game.
16:31-16:50 Here's where I have to disagree, but with an asterisk. I believe it is the response of the creator of the mod / fangame involved in such a conflict as mentioned in the above timestamp, which determines whether the juice is taken out of the creation of a mod. Sometimes it takes one project to inspire another, one mod with a feature that others mimic or copy, one mod that solves a problem that others struggle to patch up; in these cases, one creator could take it as a personal affront to think that somebody else could improve upon their work, while another creator praises the later creators for their ingenuity. For an example: There is a game series, not Half-Life and not Valve-owned, where a single fan decided to make a fangame based off of a recreation of a very old entry in the series. The original game did not age well due to hardware jank and limitations which, nowadays, would be designed much better and more visually appealing. Said fan spent 10 years making this fangame on and off, finally releasing it and seeing that other fans really love the upgrade this fan-made project gave the original, and much appreciated the praise it got. Then, withing a few months, it was revealed that the original copyright owners were _also_ making their own recreation of the game, to full AAA quality, with a development team instead of one fan making it, and further expanding upon the original in ways that make it distinct from the fangame (not as a form of competition to it, but the game definitely looks, feels, and runs differently). Queue a chunk of the fandom deciding that these two experiences are now "conflicting" and you have to pick one instead of the other, instead of being able to appreciate both. Or, putting it the way I've seen way too often on Reddit, "[x] is canon FOR ME, the other isn't!". The fangame creator was interviewed after the release of the official remake, and asked what he thought of the remake vs his own product. He said he LOVED it, saying that the remake made by the official IP-holder was the game he "always wanted to play". As such, he bore no hard feelings about the seemingly conflicting products, and acknowledged that working on the fangame was an important learning experience as well as a stepping-stone for him to get into the game industry. The game in question was Metroid 2 for the Game Boy (released 1991) and remade in 2016 by Milton Guasti, a.k.a. DoctorM64, titled AM2R ("Another Metroid 2 Remake"). Guasti was hired by Moon Studios and was one of the level designers of Ori and the Will of the Wisps (Ori 2). Nintendo, the original IP holders of Metroid, had not yet announced their remake by the time AM2R came out, but it would be released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2017. Guasti could have been bitter about the conflict of products, but gracefully tipped his hat and acknowledged that both are separate animals entirely, going for two different approaches to the same thing. And I share the sentiment: there's no need to pit these products against each other just because they _seem_ to conflict. If anything, we should be glad we have more things to experience. And the same goes for Half-Life mods, concanonicity notwithstanding.

Canonically grigori dies in the half life universe. In arkanes half life episode 4(wchich was supposed the get out so its canon) he gets addicted to headcrab juice and mutates. He later on explodes revealing his true form so we can speculate that it was a bossfight, during wchich Adrian kills him. Its higly unlikely that he would be alive in that form. @@Grayson-tk5hn It is canon because Valve allowed it. So yeah he dies. In hl2 he lives thought the graveyard level. In return to ravenholm he gets killed by Adrian Shephard.
Hey! Can you make a series or a video about Turok: 3 Shadow of Oblivion? People say it was heavily influenced by Half-Life. 2 Months ago it got a Remaster. You should definitely check it out!
I was really excited reading an article about it but then went to the download page and it's a HL2β :/ Kudos to whoever finds the Beta content/world interesting but I'll stick to the end product.
Hey, if you want more of Grigori, there's the cancelled Arkane Lyon's Ravenholm spinoff taking place after he meets Freeman. You can't play it yourself (it's cancelled and not releasing) but you can see gameplay on RUclips

Hey! Can you make a series or a video about Turok: 3 Shadow of Oblivion? People say it was heavily influenced by Half-Life. 2 Months ago it got a Remaster. You should definitely check it out!
Finally
What softwere do you use for editing? (Looks familiar)
Do you speed up your audio recording? Wenn ja bitte nicht. Deine Stimme ist angenehm wie sie ist, vorgespuhlt macht es das ganze hektisch
BCU? More like BGU
Beta Games Universe🗿👌
I was really excited reading an article about it but then went to the download page and it's a HL2β :/
Kudos to whoever finds the Beta content/world interesting but I'll stick to the end product.
Hey, if you want more of Grigori, there's the cancelled Arkane Lyon's Ravenholm spinoff taking place after he meets Freeman. You can't play it yourself (it's cancelled and not releasing) but you can see gameplay on RUclips
@@chocofrolik834 Yeah thanks I've seen it, shame Valve cancelled it. Would've been nice to see Adrian again, but hey at least this mod has the nail bombs, aye?
whats a "HL2β"?
@@Grayson-tk5hn Half-Life 2 Beta, shortened to HL2β
@@terrified057t4 ok
This video is almost as long as the mod.

Yo quick question are these mods free or what I was super sleepy when I watched this
I'm pretty sure you have to own Half-Life 2 and perhaps its episodes. Otherwise, it's free
The Valve Complete pack is regularly on sale for like 10$, the singular Half-Life parts are often on sale for 1$. Pick up whatever you favor :P
@@1lucia oh thanks man, thankfully I already have all that so I’m set to go
@@1lucia hey yo sorry to bother, do I look on Steam for it or like
As much as i appreciate the honestly and your opinion, the immersion take is just... biased, i don't think it was that significant or ruining the atmosphere of the game. Besides, how does the suit able to zoom and display status to Gordon when he doesn't even has a visor on, does the suit melded together with him?
Gordon wears a helmet. I wil not debate this.
@@sharp14xwhere is it?
