This is really easy to follow. So many lessons out there has a guy talking for 5 minutes before an awful lesson. I took 2 lessons with Adam years ago and it was great. I was not and probably never will be a Flamenco player but I was just curious about it. So I visit a master :-) Love his live fusion and traditional shows.
Because bringing your fingers back to the original position is necessary to maintain the rolling characteristic of this playing style, it makes sense to incorporate that movement into the rhythm, thus hitting the last of the 4 notes with the index finger on the upstroke. This is much easier and more natural to do than to incorporate the pinky finger and then rush bringing your hand back to the starting position, which disrupts the flow.
Great!!! Amazing!! Fantastic teacher!!!
And the rest of lesson? Upload more!!! PLEASE!!!
Adam...
You are amazing! Could you please tell me what is the make of your guitar with such a nice sound.
This is the best explanation how to do that. Always like all of his lessons.
Incredible artist !!
Inspirational
Awesome Lesson!
gracias maestro your the best maestro
Some players start with the pinky, but for soleá por bulerías they need the pinky to tap. You'll always need the index (or thumb in case of triplets) to go up in the las 16th so you can go back to your starting position.
tap with the pinky, really? are you certain?
I have been playing rock and finger-picking guitar for decades. Never attempted Flamenco. This is fecking difficult.
Well... playing classical music is much harder than rock. Every guitarist has to do hard work but In my opinion, classical ones much more.
what cords are they? 2nd chord=c9th=x32330
Beautiful ....!
i would not say it is more natural. it only feels more natural since one practices it that way. i can do cami rasgueado much more fluidly than the amii rasgueado simply because i've practiced it more
@CatGameDaiyE thats Amajor chord = X02220
he adds also = X02230 to give it a spanish feel
what cords are they? 1st chord: xx0331
2 minutes in and can't understand 184 dislikes....
wow
And then there's also
what cords are they?
3rd chord: x10330 ?
such an amazing lesson and his left hand is vague. he doesn't mention the chords' names. why always the camera man has to be someone who doesn't know shit from shinola in guitar playing?
@guitar81sb x02320
and yes, it's Amaj chord
i havent seen rasgueados strumming this advanced yet.
This is way cool. I've tried slowing down the lesson but I can't see where the golpes come in, even though I can distinctively hear them.
a common one is to flick the guitar and let the momentum continue through, so it sounds simultaneously to a strong chord and is impossible to see
Podrías hacer un tutorial de capricho árabe muy despacito
Well you are probably right, I am no expert guitarist and I am a novice at the rasgueado technique!
Can someone write out which chords he's playing? I heard 2nd chord is C9, but other chords?
Bb/D --xx0331
C9 -- x32330
Bb#11 - x10330
A(b9) - x02320
It looks like you don't use your pinky at all, instead you start the first down stroke with your ring finger, and making up the last two 16th notes with your index finger. I thought each finger takes one 16th note starting with pinky. Am I completely wrong? I love your presentation of the techniques.
he is not using the pinky for his basic 4-strum. you are correct
ring, middle, pointer DOWN pointer UP, restart
@IpseEsse What is that last chord anyone?! I don't have internet at home so I have to force myself to remember things :-(
4th chord sounds like Amaj=x02220 but A.D. Monte looks like doing another chord with hist fingers. P.S. I don't think 4th chord sounds like x02230 at all.
te kero muxooo
@AzizRaeesi Wow thanx, yer two months late ;P I don't really practice this anymore, writin some of my own flamenco!
