I had a similar experience with Andy Wildman, the one and only time I ever went to a Transformers convention about 20 years ago. He wasn't rude or anything, I just found him a tiny bit... brusque. Had the complete opposite experience though with Simon Furman, who was sat next to him. All smiles, very friendly.
