    5 Reasons I EDC a glock 29 (Pocket carry with a pocket sticky holster):
    #1: I am a large guy 6'4", 240lb. My hands fit perfect if I use the Pierce grip extension. My first finger when in guard and extended, sits about 1/2" before the end of the frame. Yes, my hands are huge. I would not recommend this gun if you don't have huge hands. Given my size, this firearm is easily concealable and accessible in my right front pocket.
    #2: 10+1 is the most I can carry in my state in a handgun.
    #3: 10mm... You will never be short on power. I have a couple in this caliber, and I absolutely love it. Again, it is not for everyone.
    #4: Versatility. I carry Underwood extreme penetrator +p when I woods walk with my dog. (We have encountered moose, bear, and big cats. Always ended without incident, but it's good to be prepared.) I carry good JHPs when I'm day to day.
    #5: Ammunition is relatively inexpensive and available. This cartridge is a lot easier on my wallet than all my other large caliber handguns and rifles. There has definitely been a resurgence in popularity recently.
    Keep in mind that this isn't the ideal gun for every occasion. If I am wearing something that doesn't cover well, I will still carry my Sig 938, an lcp max, snub .38 s&w, or even a black widow in .22mag. All of these are a better option than going unarmed.
    I'm not a fan boy, but Glock reliability speaks for itself and was a given.
    There's my 2 cents. Thanks for the video.

    I have both G20 and G29. I carry the former during cold weather and the latter in shorts 'n' t-shirt weather.
    You would rarely need more than 11 rounds for most self-defense situations. (From two-legged predators anyway.) My late Dad was NYPD and never carried more than six rounds in his .38 S&W off-duty. I once asked him what he would do if he needed to reload. He looked at me and said, "Son, if I have to reload, then I know I've bought myself more trouble than I can handle."

    I’ve had my G29 Gen 4 for 3 years and love it. I have Underwood 155gr as my edc round and 200 gr hard cast rounds for trail walks and camping. It’s the only Glock that I won’t get rid of. Love shooting it. It survived the ammo shortage. I always could find target and hollow point ammo when no one could find 9, 40, 45.

    I bought a gen 3 29sf because some big bears have moved into my area due to fires. I put to many rounds through it and my finger is sore as heck for a couple days. Now I am 67 years old and have worn out my hands from life long working them. Just mentioning this and I will be trying some gloves out to see if more practice less pain can be achieved. I do not regret getting this weapon and will carry it CCW to stop anything that threatens my life. Oh and my groups are great just letting you know it kicks a lot more than a 9mm. A lot.

    I had a Gen 3 G29 a while back but still have a G20. Really miss that G29. It was easier to grip than the G20 as it didn’t have the lower portion of the grip which made it smaller in diameter. For defensive ammo, I like the Underwood 100 gr Extreme Defender. It’s barrier blind, penetrates well and still acts like a JHP on target. It delivers high energy and low recoil as well.
    Thanks for the video 👍

    • @vic2796
      @vic2796 2 года назад +1

      I’d rethink that ammo man.. if that round passed through and injured or kills someone else your in a heap of trouble. A hollow point will deliver more shock and overall energy dump the defender is more or less gonna pass right through .

    • @Dennisthemenace40
      @Dennisthemenace40 2 года назад

      @@vic2796
      The Extreme Defender doesn’t have the penetrating power that you’re attributing to it. Due to its large external fluting, high velocity and light weight, it penetrates to a similar depth as a premium JHP, 16 to 18 inches. That is well within the FBI’s requirements. The rotational velocity of those flutes does considerable damage despite its non-expanding design and also eliminates any possibility of plugging up like a conventional JHP. I consider it the “next generation” of defensive handgun ammunition.

    • @zstidsen
      @zstidsen Год назад

      @vic2796
      I've got to agree.
      I change my ammo up between woods and city carry. Underwood Extreme penetrator +p for the woods, heavy JHP for city. That over-penetration can be a real issue in an urban scenario.
      I've heard the saying: "10 for the woods, 9 for the hoods. I don't love the phrasing, but it bears some merit.

    Carried various calibers and pistols in law enforcement and military, and I like all the brands of manufacturers but I like large and larger caliber pistols but I like my Glock 33 gen3 and 29 10mm gen 3 , but my 33 i can carry with my belt clip and pocket carry, and have night sights and a Lazer Max guide rod Lazer and some great jhp and fmj loads, but I have 9mm and lower for back up, but also carry several revolvers in 357magnum and 327magnum and my Glock 33
    My last three are plenty of power on target and easy for follow up shots have 9mm and 380s that are excellent also, for the same reason but they lack stopping power, but I still carry them sometimes, but I always have my 357 , they have been great with accuracy and energy on target 🎯, but I still have and carry my 1911a1s in 45 acp and 10 mm , my 357 sig and magnum and 45 acp are best for me

    I have a glock 20 gen 4. I like underwood 180 grain @1350 fps. The gel tests from this round are devastating. The issue is a lot of ammo companies just stick a 40 cal projectile designed for .40s&w velocities. Most of the projectiles are not designed to handle the velocity of the 10mm. I stay with my gold dot 180 grain or 220 hardcast. I live in florida and dont really need it for woods carry but thats when i carry it. The 220 or 180 hollowpoint will put a boar down easy. I just think the 10mm is awesome and i wish they would design specific projectiles to take advantage of that extra powder😎. Also double tap has been known to fudge numbers and a lot of other manufacturers as well. I just stick with underwood.

      They all come with back straps. As far as I know they come installed with the medium one installed. That being said, two things I have found that may help. One use a two handed grip slightly rotate your dominant hand slightly forward and around to get to the trigger more easily. Two use glock 20 mags they really just make a nice grip extension. Three ok so there is a three sorry. Even medium and small hands can make this work. Its just not as comfortable. My preference is CZ's they just fit the best to my hand. That being said if you want to make it work you can. Just put some rounds down range.

    Has anyone had any issues with the G29sf pinching the hell out of the Pinky? I got a grip extension, haven't been able to hit the range to test the extension but read the pinch is still an issue, managed to put o rings to help but alas I still haven't had a chance to hit the range to see if either help. Any grip extensions out there that get rid of the gap that causes the pinch altogether?

      Honestly this review has been out for a long time. I have moved on to the M&P 10mm's and Honestly they are significantly better. Recoil, sights, build quality. After having at one point 15 different glocks I only own one today, and that is a Gen 5 G17 for TE & E. Canicks have replaced all the 9mm, and M&P's have replaced the 10mm's. I will never say the Glock is a bad gun, they are not. However they have been eclipsed by more modern guns.
