The rag market and Barry’s are great for new (returning) sewists like me. The fabrics are cheap enough to practice with or make wearable toiles. I’m due a revisit soon too but it definitely needs a dry day! Loved your top Clare, so neat x

You found some interesting fabrics for great prices. The blouse you're wearing really suits your coloring. Seems like quite a fun day out, even with the rain. Am enjoying your channel as a recent subscriber. The purple flower buttons work great on the blouse, so would the new ones, but I would save them for another garment. Thanks for sharing your fabric haul.

The wren blouse is beautiful, the neon buttons really pop. I'm not sure about changing the buttons on the Anthea blouse, they look a bit large and the purple flower buttons suit it anyway. Great fabric haul!

Fab haul!! Love the rag market a bit too much and I’m all for rummaging in the pile! 😂😂😂. I also have the metallic leopard jersey and I think I’m going to make an avenir jumpsuit for when I go to ABBA Voyage! 🥳 🪩 😅

Hi Clare, love your blouses. Your fabrics are lovely too. I am going to Birmingham on 1st June, my husband has an event at the NEC. Haven’t a clue where the market is so if you can give me any tips on getting there or any other shops to visit, Barry’s is on my list 😊 Debbie x x

Hi Debbie, ooh that’s exciting. Take a big bag or better still, a trolley/suitcase 😂 If you’re going by train, from New Street station, walk through the shopping centre & when you get outside from there, turn right & head down the hill. It’s down lots of steps & the market is at the bottom. Barry’s & The Fancy Silk store are a short walk from there 🤩
