This was another very useful and entertaining audit that helps the public know their rights. The many encounters were dealt with in a very polite and lawful way by PTTP. Many of the police constables featured here were very rude, incorrect and blaze with their understanding and many dug themselves into a bigger hole. If only the Metropolitan Police (who are apparently under special measures by the Inspectorate for a series of infamous crimes and behaviour committed by serving constables) would offer training to all staff. Instead they start filming people lawfully taking photos, not identifying, demanding people leave and generally getting into unnecessary 'stand off' situations that must make them look foolish and unprofessional to anyone watching. Ideally they should watch audit videos as a free training package - the reality is they would probably simply try to get the videos removed. Talk about transparency. Brilliant work PTTP.

Pratt Walk is the name of the street - you couldn't make it up! Shows just how big the task is for the new Met commissioner. Refusal to ID, sarcastic and disrespectful comments, needlessly continuing an encounter when it's clear that it's not necessary, an apparent disregard for GDPR, a flippant attitude to the powers of the IOPC/disciplinary process, and a complete lack of understanding of 'policing by consent'. All in about 12 minutes. The new commissioner has a lot to deal with, clearly. The only way he can root these behaviours out of the police is through tough disciplinary measures that police offers are actually afraid of. "They won't do anything". Shows how rogue the Met has become and how little accountability there is for officers. There needs to be a system in place where officers are scared of saying things like "just a boring man with a boring life". The current disciplinary process clearly emboldens them.
