Sugaring: The Best Hair Removal Method You Aren't Using | Beauty Review

- What is sugaring? In the world of hair removal, everyone wants a budget-friendly option that promises to remove the hair quickly without traumatizing the body during the procedure. Sugaring seems to be the best alternative when it comes to getting rid of unwanted hair. It costs about the same as waxing, but instead of potentially breaking the hair off at the skin's surface, this mixture of sugar, lemon, and honey removes the hair directly from the follicle, allowing it to grow back softer, less coarse, and thus less noticeable. So who is it best for? Decide if sugaring is right for you. On Kirbie: Darling dress, Kate Spade earrings.

the lady who was waxing seemed so sweet , down to earth and pleasant.
this is what we've been doing in the middle east for thousands of years .. :D
I know
Tour w wxj jueves aa
yeah that's right and it's really workes
is it easy to do at home? because where i live sugaring is super super expensive
+Charlotte West yes super easy all you need to do is get the recipe .. let it cool & you can
watch a video on how to use it ..
you can make as much as you need and keep it for later use .
sugaring removes only dead skin while waxing removes the entire skin layer dead & live cells which is why sugaring is better
you'll need some practice coz the sugar melts fast so make sure you keep trying & sit in a cool room ..once you learn it you'll be able to sugar your entire body in 20 mins and it's going to feel super silky & clean
My mum always does this for my arms, works like a legend! Its called "halawa" in arabic☺️
How to make this😶
@@serphenta watch the channel called abetween
@@yaz9450 thank you so much🤗
it's middle eastern, and for the recipe you don't add water it's just freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar that you turn into some sort of caramel and work a bit in your hands before you apply it to the skin
this technique is not new or expensive all the middle easterners do this at home and for free since like forever at least give the arabs the credit for making this -_-
Thank god someone said that. It is not new at all this is done by people for centuries....
Exactly, I'm Turkish and there was sugaring before everything else came out in here.
Yeah i'm kurdisch and this is like old school hair removal
Just because middle easterners discovered it, even if u r middle eastern, how would crediting them benefit u in anyway? They wouldn't be crediting u but the people who discovered it.
+Kamie Esti326.🐱😣😳ll as
what are you waxing she barely has any hair
Hmz boix ya
Lmao
this is basic in middle eastern countries you can make it at home or you can buy a package of it from a supermarket its really really cheap
She makes it look so easy...
Well she is trained to do this professionally for a living after all
Why is everyone fighting over this... yes Asian countries have been doing this forever and yes we made it popular but can't we all just agree that it's a great method to remove hair.
Middle Eastern discovered this technique. You're so two thousand and late, America
They never said they created it, but whatever
Kiroro Damia I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else wants to uncover keratosis pilaris treatment try Elumpa KP Remedy Alchemist (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my m8 got cool success with it.
Itzel Nunez They have been doing it for forever though.
But they didn't say they discovered it though...
Kiroro Damia Just like with how someone may know how to do something cool, then someone who's never seen it before will be like "holy shit, that's genius, I've never thought of that before, I'm going to try it myself". Doesn't mean they're ripping you off, or that they're stupid for not knowing about it before. You live life and you learn new things every single day, no one is born knowing everything, some things that seem obvious to you may not be for another. Why the fuck is everyone so quick to bitch and moan about EVERYTHING? That's what I want to know
I should try this!!! Seems very effective. However, the phrase "sugaring someone" sounds funny 😂😂😂
+relaxationchannel it takes me a month to grow again it a magic😍
Of course It depends on your hormones..
Wat does Ingrow mean
Okay I understand that we are late in this sugar waxing stuff, but people who are like "people do this in the middle eastern all the time" need to calm down its not like their saying "oh ya you know us here in America came up with this"
Exactly.
I agree. We get it. It has been done for years elsewhere. No one in this video said Americans created it. Enough already!
That's the way I have always been using to remove hair and I learned it from my mother and my grandmother.
It's the traditional method we use in north african countries especially in Tunisia :)
And it's quite easy to master
You can replace some of the preparation water with orange blossom water and use rosewater after rinsing your skin to minimize irritation :)
Heheh. It's sugaring and this is pop sugar.
yea
I just graduated from beauty school. They didn't teach us to do this, just what it was. I wish they had, because I'd love to be able to do it! I'll have to learn it on my own through continuing education because it's getting more popular, especially in the Pacific Northwest.
done this since i was 13 I'm 22 now and it's super easy!
The first time is the most painful. Once you try it, it gets less and less painful because the follicle has been removed from the pore so many times, it grows back less frequently and softer! And it's very quick -- it doesn't take a long time like waxing sometimes does.
It's just melted sugar or caramelized sugar, which can be very dangerously hot. I am a pastry chef and we are always very careful with caramelized sugar as it can give you a 3rd degree burn!
No one ever said that this tecnique was new, but some people dont know about it. So why not make a video about ig
i tryed it and its such a good method cant believe i didnt know about this before!
I have never tried waxing but heard of sugaring nd got the recipe here on youtube nd it wasn't bad....love that I didn't hav to shave for close to 3 weeks!!!nd it was very affordable to make at home
its called halawa u make it at home
Ok now i need to find someone who does this in the netherlands. I really want to try it
+Fem Drift oh dankjewel!
+Patricia Bosveld hiii please take a look at my sugaring video. It is easier and cleaner. look how my werewolf legs turned out to be so cleaaannn :D
+relaxationchannel yeah but most people would prefer a professional do it as it's hard to get in hard to reach places.
Als goed is kan je het in turkse winkeltjes kopen
Whoo Dutchies.
Hey guys! Thumbs up so everyone can see:
While you can totally make this at home, the techinique takes time to master. If you saw in the video, I got a ball of the sugar wax to test out and it was even difficult for me to learn to maneuver. Therefore, unless you're a professional or are positive you can master this art, please don't try it at home.
It is safe to use everywhere! Legs, bikini, brazilian, face, arms, underarms, etc.
Exfoliate the area before you sugar, then moisturize it after.
ive been doing this for years and i have to be honest it hurts but the advantages of it the hair comes out thinner and it takes around 2-3 weeks to come out
i started doing this when i was 13 years old at home , my mom taught me
She said the wax is seeping into the hair follicle and wrapping around the hair? The hair follicle is under the first layer of your skin, how does it seep in???
Elizabeth Cisneros xblbbbl
How long does this last?
about 3 week..
Am arabic .. We do this method all the time
Can you tell me how you make it??
***** You heat up sugar, lemon and water. You can find recipes on youtube
I am Arab 2, very good method
I've tried a few youtube recipes but can't get it right. When I get to working it in the hands it begins to get soft and runny again. Any tips from experienced makers? :)
Put it under a fan and it will harden up again, but don't leave it too long
This is a common method for arab people, it's been around for centuries, lol
Thank you for the video ♥
I've been using this method since puberty, my only and best method.
most of us in Saudi Arabia do sugaring and waxing.
Lol all the Arabs complaining about not having enough credit. Yes, we know where this originated from. No, you do not need credit just because you're from the Middle East. It's like using a pencil and everytime you use it you have to give credit to whoever invented it. In my opinion😅 but someday I will try this I swear! It seems waaay better than wax😊
+Nissa Book ignorance is not a virtue.
***** Me? I'm not exactly ignorant, but I guess that's your opinion.😊 Shalom.
If that is what you are meaning..
Cultural appropriation is an issue though, if a few months white people will think white celebrities invented it like they did with fashion that originated in the black and Latina community
this looks great I'm using this method this summer
What if you're someone with facial air and you want that removed but you also have acne? What it be a good idea to do sugaring?
You'll need to find a location in your area. :) Like many people have said, it's been a method used by Egypt for centuries -- even Cleopatra used it to remove her hair. So while it's popular, a lot of people still don't know about it.
How long does it last? How long does it take before the hair starts to grow out again?
About 3 weeks or something
This method is the oldest method here in Middle east! I am just surprised you just hear about it!!
We always made our own and it's the best for total 'down there' removal!!
Wow! This is so fascinating! I need to find out if sugaring is offered where I live
Is there different consistencies of the sugar you use? As in thicknesses, like, soft to hard sugars for different areas on the body.
Shout to the Middle East for slaying my edges with this technique! I love you 💕😂
I definitely want to try this
We have been using this method since our ancestors and most arabic womens know how to cook this sugar at home (including myself), it's very easy and doesn't cost at all :)
Now I wanne try it! :) How's pain compared to waxing? I am so fearful, when its comes to pain... that's why I'm still shaving.
yes, new hair removal method! Need to watch this!
I usually exfoliate the day before "sugaring" and make sure to hydrate very well my skin. The next day, wash the area with warm water (hot water may make your skin too sensitive). Make sure your skin is perfectly dry before using the sugary wax; if not, it would dilute and won't be sticky. I hope this answers your questions.
hi... Hope you are good :-) can you plz tell me the quantity of the Sugaring wax recipe .... and plz tell me that can we save the mixture or not if yes then how many days ? xxxx
idk know how to make it but u can save it for as long as u like in a closed jar in a cupboard.
Wait so should we exfoliate and moisterize our skin after or before we shave/wax/etc to avoid ingrown hairs?
I wanna eat it ಠ_ಠ
I no right
Rosey+ you can eat it it's so good
I'm arabic and I always use this method
That is an old Turkish method I know how to do it since I was 6 years old. Are you pay for it ???
Do the results last as long as waxing?
I tried to do it but it cooled down way too fast and it got hard as rock!
Hey Kirbie :) Is this treatment available to all salons now?
what store bought waxes would you recommend? I tried making mine at home and when I poured it into my container it solidified like hard candy. I don't want to continue making it, I just want to buy it! I have sensitive skin and am going to use it for my bikini area, any suggestions??????????
This is so cool! I want it done now!
I am 11 and I get waxing done at home. My mum makes it at home and then I get my hair removed. Also it hurts at the first time only. I am now used to it.
What is a good moisturizer to use after?
Looks like an awesome technique!
it is an effective method, but it gets my sensitive skin some purple bumps, and this annoys me much, i dont know what to do?!
And where can you get you get this? I don't know how I ended up here.🎀
Good !!! I like this !!! You are genius !!!!
yeah its safe and won't hurt you at all :) a little bit the first time ..
I HAVE A QUESTION FOR PEOPLE WHO HATE PAIN, BUT HAVE TRIED THIS METHOD!!!!!
how much would you rate the pain? THIS QUESTION IS NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN TOLERATE PAIN.
5.7 and it all depends on if you have long or short hair.
how often can the be applied at same place without dating irritations?
I leave the hair on my arms because it's very very blonde and I don't see why I should spend even more time removing hair when I already do my legs, underarms and pubic area.
Also, can you use this for the pubic area?
Jadey I don't recommend you to do so, because that area is going to sag with time if you do it regularly.
It's not new, persay, but it's not as widely known as regular waxing is. Danielle told me that this has been going on for centuries in Egypt, so definitely not new in that part of the world!
Can we make this our selfs?
How do I make the paste?? I only ended up making a very sweet version of lemonade xD
true, i am egyptian and i always use this method :)
Can we use it for the...um...private area??..
Does this work well for pubic hair?
Why does this sugaring paste look different from all the other home made ones I've seen in other videos?
I tried to make this stuff, and it looked fine, but it was soooo hot it left burns when I tried. I tried to let it cool off a bit but then it dried.. I'm confused with what I am doing wrong.. Any ideas?
Hi Jackie, I had this problem for a while as well. Luckily, I was able to find a great method in making the wax. Try using the method used in the video " Natural Hair Remover: How to Make Sugar Wax & Live Demonstration! " I hope this helps! :)
how can we buy this
Idk why you are all trippin about it not being new. They did not once say it was new. This was just a newer video they posted. Not the waxing itself. 😂
What about epilating? Can you do a video on that? I hear mixed reviews about it.
How do you keep it from sticking to your gloves? Also, shout out to ancient middle eastern beauties for these methods 🥰
Where to buy this wax ?
do I just mix the sugar, lemon and honey together?
u have to cook them on a proper heat n u shud now what time u have to take it of from heat.. its not easy batter to order from amazon or ebay its not very expensive
without honey
There us no honey in it, suger n lemon when u will cook they will look like honey after
Can you use the sugaring method around the bikini area?
can you make the sugar ball at home?
how to make this mixture :) i can make it at home??
The pop sugar girl is very sweet
If you use this method does you arm hair grow longer
No actually it grows in softer and thinner
I've tried sugaring, but my skin is so sensitive that I bruised and my skin became bumpy like I had hives.
Hahhaha me too! I feel your pain. (literally!)
can we use lime instead of lemon?
yeah
Than you so much for sharing!
That's asome but is only good one the outer body. It can not be use on the v v right.
I need this
how do you get it to that consistency?
I have had this done.....it hurts like hell......my upper lip hurt so bad, I almost jumped out of my skin.
U should only use waxing for your upper lip!
D:
Can u do a diy on the sugaring stuff and how to use it?
Does it hurt?
Recipe
1 cup of sugar
1 T.s. of honey
1/4 cup of water
juice of a half lemon (100% free of pulp)
In a pan, on a low temperature, add the water to the sugar.
Mix the 2 ingredients and let them caramelize.
When the mixture is in a light yellowish caramel colour, remove it from the heat.
Add the lemon juice and the honey. Mix everything and let it cool down.
When you can manipulate the mixture with your hands, make it into a ball shape and work it between your fingers to make it sticky.
it is not as easy as it looks in video , i did order a container n its good but its more good if someone do for u
Very interesting!
it doesn't hurt? actually it hurts like hell and it gets gooey and stick to skin and it hurts like hell trying to get it off and it grows fast so ya
+Mina Alaani it hurts way less than an epilator though lol
I use it and it hurts 😑 now i shave i used waxing and i felt its less pain maybe my mother is attempting to make me feel the pain idk lol
where can I find this product? have in Brazil?
You can actually make it at home. That's what my mom does
what is the name of it.
