I'm on my 4th day. Watching this for motivation. Those who are fasting, stay strong. Think about the benefits you are gonna get.
How much weight did you lose if you don’t mind me asking?
Needed this! On 4th day and thinking of quitting. This is encouraging
@@PRDlGY. I didn't weigh myself but I started to wear my old clothes that didn't fit me for a long time
@@z-lover6332 well that’s a sign you lost weight lol I did a 7 day fast last week and weighted 10 less pounds
@@PRDlGY. Honestly, I felt super hungry during the fast and overate after it. So gained back several pounds. I guess we need watch our eating even after the fast.
I just finished 21-day water fast and re-feeding for 11 days here at True North. Vegan. SOS. Feel 10-12 years younger.
Are they really open during COVID? Wish I could go,
Is there any way you could disclose the price, a general price?
Could you tell me how much water you did drink per day? :)
Pierro Losapio minimum of four 16 oz glasses of distilled water. Normally six glasses.
Hi there, how much did it all cost you?
@@macmor09 $200 +/- per day. About 6K for a month.
Have been doing water fast for last three years. Have done 7 day fasts every quater for that period.Feel great and am very healthy and have no medical problems.
I passed out with no salt.I don't know how people can do this
On day 6 of my quarterly 7 day fast, I watch these to remind myself why I do it
You got this!!
Im on third day, I feel ok in general. The first and second days were so awful. But, your video is really encouraging.
I did the 7 day water fast at True North Health Center while Dillon and his Dad were there. I found it harder than Dillion did. By day 3 I told the doctor at true north I was going to quit if I couldn’t drink anything. So they gave me vegetable broth that made all the difference. There was no vegetables with sugar in the broth so it didn’t break the fast. I had deadly bad breath throughout the fast. I rested a lot during the fast because I was there to help a herniated disc in my lower back. I’m glad I did the fast but I left true north two weeks before there were wildfires so that was fortuitous. This is the best reset for your body. I highly recommend it.
Really enjoyed this Dillon!!! You did great! Looking forward to the interviews!
I’m also doing a 30 day water fast 😊. I’m on day 8 as of right now. And I wanted to quit so bad but kept pushing through because I knew the results were going to be OUTSTANDING! I lost 8 lbs in 5 DAYS! Once I seen the drastic drop in my weight on the scale, my jaw literally DROPPED to the ground 🥳😢 I felt so proud of myself. All the days and nights I was complaining about the feelings and urges I was feeling throughout my 8 days of fasting, it was so worth it! A positive mindset can get you so places in life especially if you have goals/aspirations. It’s best having supportive and motivating people around you to give you a boost during your journey. I’m going to post my journey at the end of September so I can share my experience as a unexperienced water faster 😇
Wow! How is it going? Update would be great!
@@hn7461 I stopped at day 20 bc I was getting Toooooo skinny 😂😂😂😂😂
@@hn7461 i will be a posting my experience soon I’m having editing problems right now but I’m still on it. This was the hardest thing I’ve EVER done in my life BUT it was super beneficial! I lost a total of 15 lbs my first 10 days ! (8 lbs day 5 & 7 lbs day 10)
@@hn7461 I posted my water fast journey on my RUclips channel ❤️ check it out!
wow honestly this is helping me to push thru on my 2 day
I am on day 3 of a water fast and that is how I discovered your channel yesterday. Once I am back over in the states, I can't wait to order some of your products. It is easy to locate vegan products, but next to impossible to find oil free. I have done long term water fasts in the past, but day 2 of this one was the most difficult ever. I am awaiting foot and spine surgery so have been on long term pain meds. Not taking those during this fast so had to push through the most horrific headache ever. If anyone may see this and feels that water fasting may help them, go for it. It is so good to give your body a rest from everything. I do brush my teeth with just water and wear deodorant. I know that those that dry fast don't, and they skip showers also. No water at all. Those aren't for me but works for others. Wishing everyone all the best and much success with your fasts.
It’s difficult to fast when I’m staying with my grandma 😂 I’d have to fight not to eat lol
Im 60yrs of age and on intermittent and also doing 48 hrs once a month, felling great. Im fighting with my daughter and granddaughter to join me. The irony, im fighting with them to at least stop with the sugars. Fasting has healed n renewed me wholly. I encourage you.
ROSALYN WAWIRA kinda wish my grandma would be more open minded with intermittent fasting😅 but I can’t make that wish.... who else would ever cook my favourite food 🥺 I’m a month on my IF, i just tell her to set aside the food for me hehe she nags still 😂
dont tell her you're fasting. She will definitely break your diet 😂
Bangtan Sonyeondan Hahaha i thought she’d forget by now tbh . But she still asks why I was eating so little and not eating breakfast 😂 i just eat from 12-6pm
This made me smile, Grandma's are the best and will never understand fasting, at least you know you will never starve 😅
This was fascinating! Thanks for doing this for us! I’m on Day 4 of my first fast. Being I eat Plant Based no sugar or oil, this has been a really smooth process. Definitely going to fast again.
Do you continue to fast?
Thank you for your video! this was very helpful for me. I did a 7 day water fast myself (at home) and I really wanted to know the right way to break the fast. Now I am using the True North Center Protocol. Thanks for your videos and inspiration!
As usual the medical community finds a way to make money on what is essentially a simple procedure as long as one educates himself on the process of fasting. I have been fasting for 45 years alone and have had no problems. My longest fast was 21 days. I am 80 years old and in good health.
Not everyone breezes through a prolonged water fast, supervision is necessary especially for people that might not be going into it as healthy as you do.
That is excellent Paul!!
@@WellYourWorld I would also say if you listen the them talk about the people they treat a lot of them have to be strategically weaned off medications during the fasting process.
This clinic is monitoring people who are coming off BOATLOADS of meds and have liver and a kidney disfunction. They definitely need to be monitored.
Have you been back to TrueNorth since this video? I’m finally getting to this video of yours. ❤ Thank you!
Not yet but I’d love to when I can finally make the time.
@@WellYourWorldsounds good ❤
I'm on my 4th day so far, wish me luck

I am watching this 4 years later (Post COVID) and so glad I found it because I am doing a 7 day fast too in 2 weeks (March 2021). Very helpful. Thank you. I am morbidly obese 329 pounds, probably older with HBP and suffered TIA. So, my experience will probably be different but other than that I think I can do this. Again, thank you.
Could you do it?
@@albertomassari77 I did it! It was awesome! I have never felt better. I think I am going to make this an annual event. :-)
@@ninamoreno8116 I am around the same weight. How much did you loose and do you have any recommendations on how to avoid cravings. I’m on day 1 currently
@@calebdalal1450 Hi dalal: I lost about 5 pounds a day for 5 days. During the fast I did not feel hungry or crave anything. So much so, wanted to extend it to 7 days but, unfortunately, they would not let me as I only stayed 10 days and the refeeding has to be 7 days as well. I could have signed a waiver AMA but it wasn't worth it so just stuck to 5 day fast. The water kept me full and I took work with me so occupied the time I wasn't sleeping with work. Actually, I slept a lot during the day, so did not have a chance to have cravings. Good luck with your fast.

Thank you for getting on with posting your experience at True North video. Also, thank you for taking part in the study!! It's such important work!! It seems like you've walked away with having learned a great deal about yourself and what your body can do/how it reacts (always a bonus). I look forward to the rest of the interviews, when you have time.
I hope your father's experience was equally as beneficial to him.
Thank you Jenna, yes one thing I didn't mention was how great it felt to know this thing my body can do and then to experience it first hand without any hiccup. It was great. Thanks for the support as always!
Thank You for sharing I pray that The Lord strengthen me to complete my 7 fast in Jesus Mighty name I pray Amen
In Jesus’ Mighty Name
I just did another 3 day fast. It went good. I feel pretty great now after so I know there are major benefits. I plan to do either a 5 or 7 day fast next. Thank You for all your informative video!
I am on the ketogenic diet and fasting is so easy compared to when I tried fasting before I was on keto. No headaches, minimal hunger, and I get super energetic. I love that fasting high. The longest I have fasted is 4 days, but I want my next fast to be 5 days, then 6, and then 7. I still have a lot of weight to lose and am still considered obese.
Good for you.
Excellent! You should also check out the snake diet! Cole is a crazy Canadian, his methods are harsh but very effective. He will scream the weight off your body
Tesla's Bitch I know about Cole, and find him extremely distasteful. All that screaming and swearing is a major put-off. I have been following 500 Pound Fasting Lady, who now goes by LoveMissMaya. Cole was helping her. I much prefer to follow Dr. Jason Fung, Dr. Mindy Pelz, Dr. Ken Berry, and Dr. Annette Bosworth. They all give good information in a way that is empowering.
I'm on keto, keep wanting to fast but get scared. How much weight did you loose in 4days.. nd did it stay off? Tia
@@natalier9358 long water-only fasts are not recommended without doctor supervision... but you should try intermittent fasting since it has some of the same effects. I'd also say that please don't stay on keto for the rest of your life. There's a good chance your mood will go down on keto compared to low-fat vegan diet. Neal Barnard quoted this from a study on employees working for Gecko.
Thank you !!. I’m beginning my water fasting only journey today and sharing with RUclips. Wish me luck guys⭐️
I don't know why I can't stop laughing I can tell you have a great sense of humor especially when you said "you hit that hard when eating the veggies and fruits" 😂 I would love to do a water fast with you I'm currently on day 5.
I slept thru the video!!🙄😂
Thanks for the updates, I love fasting.i am trying to reverse my diabetes.
How is that going
Any luck?
I completely reversed my diabetes there and of course you have to change your diet as well when you return home.
I love the quote about having less toxicity to start which makes you have a more disciplined body that is handling it so well. I think it’s 100% because you are not addicted to food additives and junk
I love the power of mind you exhibit especially with going to cooking classes!
This is great! huge fan of Klaper and True North. Always wanted to do the same thing one day.

@@isabellagoring872 i did till day 10, because i was feeling very weak. and let me tell u the fasting was just amazing. Whatever length you go for, it’ll be a life changing experience. I lost 6 kg, but you could really see it on my body. and my skin looked way better and healthier.
Day three/four are the hardest. After that everything changes.. especially your mindset. I did eight days and lost 14 lbs and my face looks completely different. My eyes are much brighter and skin looks younger
Thanks so much for discussing oral hygiene whilst fasting. Till watching your video I hadn't been able to find anyone talking about brushing your teeth and cleaning your tongue whilst water fasting? Thanks!~ 😇🙏
Happy it helped!
Dry fasting means no contact with water. I think not brushing your teeth whether water fasting or dry fasting is silly. How much water will you absorb?
Say what? Didn’t know that personal hygiene ceased during a fast 🤷🏾♂️
I always brush my teeth while extended fasting.
@@kenmarriott5772 it’s not the water he was worried about it was the additives in the toothpaste and deodorant I believe. Anything besides water that can be absorbed through the skin.
Would have liked to hear about your dad's experience.
I too would like to hear of him.
Thank you for this very informative broadcast. I have been thinking that I should try a water fast. Now I have the information that I needed to help me be comfortable and successful.
You look absolutely rejuvenated and glowing. I'm so excited to start lately I've been feeling drained and have fallen off the wagon off my journey. Thank you for documentating your experience. I've followed interviews about True North absolutely Great!
i want to start soon
Today is my day 2 of a 7 day fast. March 1st is my birthday and I’ll be putting out a video of my journey and how I plan to reintroduce food in my life.
Update after day 3… I broke my fast. I would definitely be doing it again.
Thanks so much for this. I'll be going to True North in a couple of weeks. I'm vegan, whole foods plant based about 90% of the time - crossing my fingers that this will keep hunger at bay. During the week, I also intermittent fast, so I am able to deal with a level of hunger. Appreciated your coverage!!!
I wish true north health was in Australia! I would totally go! Thanks for this video it's awesome!
Thank you. I am starting a 40 day water fast from Ash Wednesday tomorrow until good Friday.
I am doing this on my own. I have electrolytes from the pharmacy to take from the 11 th day onwards.
I plan documenting my BP twice a day. I have no glucose monitoring machine as I am not diabetic.
I plan going to my family physician every 10 day ( more to reassure my husband).
This is a once in a life time wish of mine. Weather is cool. Am not working at present and also not travelling or receiving guests. Till now I have only ever done 11 days of water fasting once a year.
Have my family and friends all supporting me by fasting once a week with me .
Have also planned the 20 day re feeding process by breaking it down to 4x5 day phases.
Watching True North videos on RUclips has given me the courage to do this🙏🏼
You got this!
How is it going? I love that you are doing this for Lent. Im starting a 7 day tomorrow. Why electrolytes from day 11?

Thank you so much for this. Very helpful. I'm on Day 3 of a 5 day fast, at home, and I was wondering about details on refeeding.
I loved this. But wow...I’m half way thru day 3 and I do NOT feel great lol. You’re lucky! I had white stuff on my tongue and a hi my taste on the morning of Day 2 and Day 3. I used a tongue scraper - what a God-send! That helped a lot. Today is rough - feeling achey, tired, cold, slow to get up or I’ll get dizzy. Not really loving the taste of my water even tho it’s reverse-osmosis. I’m not struggling as much with thinking about food as I am just wanting to not feel dizzy and bleh.
The dizziness is the toxins getting concentrated and leaving your body
Thanks for posting this video. I did a 20 day water only fast summer of 2018, and I was enjoying hearing you describe your week. Thanks,
This was really helpful. Thanks for posting. I am planning a 5 day water fast to end the year. Useful thing I learned in this video which I wouldn't have thought of: don't use deodorant or any other body products. Are there any other instructions not mentioned in the video?

Note to self: No AC at True North. Schedule fast in the winter.
Ha ha this was seriously a total fluke, it was the record since 100 years or something...but then with climate change and the recent fires, who am I kidding. But there are rooms that have their own AC, just so you know, but ya winter sounds very good too!! 😬🙂
Right? Is it weird that that was the biggest turn-off for me?

Hey, love the video and the energy. Plant based is the way to go.
I was hoping to see a bit more about the re-feeding. What do they advise?
Hey, I've been really thinking seriously about TrueNorth and so this video was extremely inspiring and helpful. Thank you so much for posting. I wondered how your father did (which is private of course, unless he gives permission), because it sounds like he would have been less prepared than you healthwise, which I can relate to and am curious about. Ie. if you're already doing great, it will be terrific, right?

Thanks for your experience at True North- I have been wondering If I should go. I am interested to know if you have tried any water fasts on your own since this experience and for how long, I have done a few at home, including one 4 day fast, and I found boredom was the biggest problem by far for me. Interested to hear your perspective. Thanks!
When you did the only water fast at the clinic, how much water did you drink per day ? Thanks! I really need to know
He said he drunk 6-8 12oz glasses of room temperature water a day.

What a great video! A perfect balance of information, education and personality! This will be so helpful to me as I plan my own water fast in January. I look forward to viewing more content from you. Wishing you continued success!
On me 3rd night now and it's great. Feeling the toxins leaving me. On me way to the 9th day fast, maybe go for another week.
Really enjoyed this video..I'm on day 2 of my 7 day water fast. Did you experience any bloating at all? Thank you for the refeed menu. Last question do you know if there's any facility like this one in SA?
Hi Dillon. Thanks so much for this. On your first day of refeeding, you were limited to juice. Can you be specific about what juices were available and which you chose/liked? The reason is I've done short (2, 3, & 4 day) unsupervised fasts on my own and always wonder how the professionals refeed.
Great question! Do pause in the video where I showed that document that outlined the refeed process; that was a handy chart. As for juice, ya I could have talked about that some more. You don't really choose your juice, they just deliver it to you. The only juice I asked about was the very first one, which they said is ALWAYS watermelon celery. It was delicious. All of the juices tasted really good, so I know there was fruit as the base ingredient rather than the juices I used to always make at home which were heavy on the veg and light on the fruit. Honestly, I don't think it really matters. It is just meant to wake up your digestive system without punching it too hard. So I am sure that any light fruit/veg combination will be ok. Nothing with too strong of taste because you will find it very strong after not eating. You already know this from experience of course, but this answer is for everyone else too...
I would say you would want to watch the fructose content of your juices as this would be a strain on the liver as fructose is only processed by the liver and seeing as it is missing the important fibre component. I used to juice but I actually found fasting to be easier then juicing as the sugar minus the fibre spikes insulin and increases hunger and cravings.
I am on my second day of fasting and I will keep going for another 4 days:)
How’s it going? I. On day two - unlike this post, I’m finding it really challenging!
109 degrees with no air conditioning. I don't think it was the fasting that caused you to lose 14 pounds.
Lumber dog holy shit! What about getting a window unit for your room? Ice packs? Crazy.
AC units are about $200...
And no showers 😷

He had to do juice fast rather than water fast because of A-fib. But he did very very well and is at his best weight since before I was born. And he is sticking with the diet, so that is pretty awesome.

Thank you for documenting this! ♥️
Would have loved to see a before and after and ur reaction to the food 😄 u powered through lol so many people struggle ur a machine!
What type of water did they use during your fast? And can it be cold, hot, room temp? What time did they tell you to go to bed each night? Were you allowed to shower daily, or what other low energy activities could you do other than walk around slowly? Lastly, did you gain back all of the weight you lost once you started eating regular food? Thank you!
Distilled water, though Reverse Osmosis would be fine too. Any temp you like. They even have a thing to make it sparkling water for people with some stomach issues. No showers because they don't want you to pass out from temperature change. I just used a towel to wipe off. You can walk very little, they encourage you to just hang out and be inactive. Lots of lectures, decent internet for watching netflix. I gained all of my weight because I already ate the same before my fast as after. But my dad kept all his weight off because he completely changed his diet after his fast, so now he eats totally whole foods plant based. So ya his weight didnt come back. This is normal.
I am on day 7 of my fast and I feel like crap. Can't wait to start eating tomorrow (juice).
Im at day 6 and my bowel movements telling me they had enough
How much weight do you lose?

Miracles happen at True North. Other videos/lectures/talks have illustrated that. The new "refeeding" word, to identify breaking a fast, I think is hilarious, and it makes breaking the fast so much more official.
I'm on day 5 today and I'm struggling. My energy on day 1 to day 4 is now gone. I don't want to do anything but I have homework to do.😭
an update to your water fast pls?
Look up snake diet, you probably peed out all your salts.
So ffff***ing true , it's the low energy that's getting to me 😕
Then stop the fast but with keto, no carbs, you'll keep the benefits of the fast until you can start again.
If you do enough herbs you naturally fast because you listen to your thoughts and when your hungry you eat because there is food everywhere.
I'm considering going to TrueNorth to deal with some health issues through fasting. What are the rates like?
Thank you for this. Why is there no AC in Truenorth? And I wonder why the no showers. What about a bath with just, like salt? I am in my 2nd day and so eager to do at least 7 days, preferably more. Thank you for your commitment to this!
They can't be that cheap to have no a/c. A small 5,000 btu unit would work fine & not add to the electric bill.
What kind of juices were you served post-fast?
You're a young soul. Older souls have a bunch of childhood trauma and major detoxing to go through. Glad you tried this though.. it def heals....
Besides water on the fast do they give you any supplements like electrolytes?
yeah it's a high. it's called a keto high, same as keeps anorexics from eating.
try a longer fast next time.
re BP, get it done in the same position every morning....preferably be lying down flat and relaxed for 5 minutes before. sitting up will give a different reading.
Helpful video, thanks. Two questions: 1. can you continue with med like blood pressure during the fast. 2. How much water do you drink every day during the fast?
Thanks for sharing this. Did you drink a specified amount of water each day?
+Staying Alive With Angel Austin they wanted you to drink at least 4-6 12oz glasses of water. I probably drank at least 6-8 maybe even more. Nothing forced; you kinda just desire it and sip away all day.
Well Your World Ah, OK. Makes sense. Thanks for the info. I do remember your post in the group about salty tomatoes. I'm going to try the water fast for a few days in hopes that I have a similar experience. Penn Gilette (sp.?) of Penn and teller spoke of having the same thing happen after eating only potatoes for a specified time. I really am looking for a complete reset that changes things from here on out. I know a 5-day water fast won't accomplish that by itself, but I think for someone like me, some time of complete abstinence is a key in my progress. I need to learn some things and do some battles.
+Staying Alive With Angel Austin beautiful. Love what you are pushing through and leaving in your past. You are working hard. Yes I read Penn’s book; the potato cleanse does work by the same neuroadaptation principles. It just takes longer is all. But yes stay with it. You are doing great.
OMG DYLAN! I *just* did a cooking demo with May Kaiden's here in Chiang Mai two days ago, what a coincidence! (Obviously not May herself but the girl she has in charge), such an amazing experience and aren't the dishes SO EASY?!

It was Katie Mae of Plantz St. Are we talking about the same person? If not then I need to look up whoever you are talking about for sure.
OMG this is embarrassing! There's a vegan cookery school here in Chiang Mai called May Kaidee's, and she just opened up in the USA too so I jumped right in there with my conclusion LOL!
Oh funny! Ok well I will check her out too. Wow those names are pretty similar!
No way, I did a course there (Kaidees) almost 20 yrs ago, still got the cookbook!!
Great video. Good to hear about fasting from somebody i "know" from you tube video's. I am going to True North in januari. I am excited about that. Was scared the whole setting was burnt! I give this to myself as a present. Hope to improve my health and my taste buds. Flying from the Netherlands to San Francisco! A long trip without proper food. I have to find out what i can bring myself on the plane. Thanks for the video, i see it is doable. How is your dad doing?
I always take a bag of cooked potatoes and then take mustard or hot sauce packets from the fast food restaurants in the airport terminal ha ha. Am I a monster? You'll do great, congratulations on your upcoming trip. Yes my dad did very well too. Thank you
Great video.
Question. I did a 4 day water fast. Then refeed I spent 2 days eating only watermelon, I’m on day 3 now eating beautiful green soup today but I still not got much energy. How long did it take you to get your energy fully back?
I’m probably just being inpatient. But maybe I could up my calories?
Thanks mate!
Four days is not that long, so you don't need to refeed all that slowly. Two days of watermelon and then one day of raw is more than enough. I expect you are weak because you have not gotten back up to normal amount of calories. Time to eat. PS I am not a doctor, and I never will be.
Well Your World thanks for the help man. Feeling stronger again today 😊🙏🏼
Very funny name! 🤣
Great review. I hope I can make it to True North before long.
You'll love it.
Looking forward to hearing more! Can’t wait for covid for end so I can check this place out. Hello from Canada btw!
covid wont end until 2025 citing world bank document, plus there is no virus all freedom of information requests world wide have fallen short in been provided scientific studies which prove the alleged virus has been isolated , purified and proven to cause infectious disease!
When do you drink water? Is it for lots of water for Morning, Afternoon and Night? In between you drink half cup water. Want to start this. I know too much water will wash away the electrolytes in the body. How often is water to be taken? Thanks
Whenever you feel thirsty drink.
Thanks for sharing - I was wondering if TNH does allow or maybe even support the supplmentation of Kalium/Magnesium/D3? I´ve been doing five 3-day water fasts in the past - the last two I did supplement Magnesium/Kalium + tea spoon of pink himalaya-salt and felt that those fasts were noticibly "easier" with less side effects. Thanks
Great Video Dillon, I'd like to there. Did you have to pay to be part of the research study?
How much did it cost you? I am talking about the total cost for everything. They never talk about cost. Thanks for your video.
Can you, please, tell: what do you do there all day in TrueNorth? Is it "entertain yourself" type of setting? How do you keep busy?
Mostly I worked on my computer, read, watched a little Netflix, and of course I didn't miss a single lecture. I didn't feel bored.
They also have an extensive catalog of health videos
Wow, on day 7 his eyes and skin look amazing!
hello, I just started a water fasting by myself after researching it a bit, and jump right in for the health benefits. Is this study free?? or did it cost you the 3 thousand you mentioned?
Im on day 7. Lost 12 lbs so far , and had no negative effects. Any links you recommend for more tips?
+AGUSTIN CABRERA my recommendation would be to watch every single RUclips video you can find with Dr Michael Klaper and Dr Alan Goldhamer.
Hi there, were you drinking water all throughout the day or only when thirsty?
So jealous of you Dillan. My goal is to travel to True North at some stage in the future. Thanks for you video diary:)
My pleasure, hope you can make it there.
What type of juice did you drink?
Thankyou so want to go to true North...one day maybe...its great you showing us what happens there...luv your cooking shows 🤎
