It’s one of the reasons why we love Rush so much. Not just ear candy. Music “for those who think and feel”. Wanna hear a Rush song with rapping bars now? Check out Roll The Bones next!
Natural Science is my favorite Rush song live. This song was absolutely memorizing awe to see live. Love this masterpiece. I had the amazing experience of seeing Rush in concert 5 times. other great songs live "Jacob's Ladder" La Villa Strangiato" RIP Neil. greatest lyrist.
Pretty life-changing song. This song will make your mind explode. The video was actually done really well, but you should rewatch with the lyrics. Song is deeper than most even think. Makes me so happy to be alive in the same time as these guys created their magic. Love love love.
When I was 11yrs of age in 1977,my friends called me weird for listening to Rush, they just didn't get their music. I can see you get their music like I did..
WoW Pope. fantastic. It's a shame on us that Rush had to write a song like that, because the people at the top aren't listening or seeing. cheers thankyou.
I would check out the lyric video. The lyrics are amazing. Neil really loved nature. I suggest Jacob's Ladder from the R40 tour. I think you would enjoy it. Cheers
GREAT SELECTION! Yes, the lyric video has a powerful message but this visual is powerful as well! Any song from this album is worth your time. THANKS!☮☮☮
What is amazing is Rush produced this song 4 decades ago 🤔 😳 Think about that, it's like they were prophets, as much of their music is more relevant now. 👍
This is one of many songs in which Neil Peart expressed his fascination with genetics and cell biology, among other scientific interests. As he said (prophetically) in "Freewill" about humans: "Genetic blends, with uncertain ends, on a fortune hunt that's far too fleet." And as he said in the last song ("The Garden") on Rush's last album (Clockwork Angels), "The arrow flies while you breathe/The hours tick away, the cells tick away." His soul, curiosity, intellect and genius are all deeply missed.
This album is great because it begins with crackling radio waves (Alex Lifeson's guitar lick on Spirit of Radio) and ends with ocean waves, with the lesson of Natural Science ... although we are presently framed in the technology and politics etc. of our time, the waves of life and evolution on the grander scale are permanent. Thus the name of the album: Permanent Waves. Peart explores this concept further on the next album's classic Tom Sawyer: "He knows no changes are permanent, but CHANGE is!" And then again on the next album's Digital Man: "He knows that constant change is here to stay".
Maaan. Found another one without a notification! So cool that after a relatively short time listening to prog, you already know that if it’s Rush, it’s gonna be great On that note, many of us are looking forward to your 2112 reaction😜
Thank you for reacting to this great band! Subscribed just now! Permanent Waves is one of my favorite Rush albums it is a masterpiece. Greatest band ever.
I was supposed to go to krogers and do some shopping for the week ahead but every freakin time I finish a vid by you the next 1 in the line up is another classic and I want to see what you think about it??? maybe fauchi should listen to natural science huh?
You major in chemistry? Can I let you in on a little secret? Subatomic particles are cryogenic. There is in fact a cryogenic radius and lead is the last element that fits within it, which is why every heavier element is radioactive. I’m still working on the math.
I think you should check out some Steely Dan...for instance "Peg"..."Hey Nineteen"..."Black Cow".."Do It Again"...I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.
"Preserving the Earth" is great (it'll still be here long after we're gone), but that's not what the song is about. Gotta' read the lyrics: it's about the balance of art and science and how it shapes our society. Too bad the source video had to feature all the slaughtered whales that have nothing to do with the song. One of my top 10 Rush tunes.
Great song !! Timing with climate fear porn is a good one to !!HAHAHA ! Nothing towards you that is what the video is about !! Thank for play Rush great band !! God Bless !!
"The most endangered species? The honest man". Absolute killer line written by the late, great Neil Peart.
… will still survive annihilation
@@motodork I think he got that part wrong.

Rush music is the soundtrack of the soul
“I’m ready for science class”. Nailed it! Btw. You should be a voice actor or narrate commercials!
WoW Pope. fantastic. It's a shame on us that Rush had to write a song like that, because the people at the top aren't listening or seeing. cheers thankyou.
How many bands were writing songs about the environment in 1980? Amazing, love Rush! Luv your reactions! Rip Neil
I would check out the lyric video. The lyrics are amazing. Neil really loved nature. I suggest Jacob's Ladder from the R40 tour. I think you would enjoy it. Cheers

And Earth isn't in trouble, we are, if we destroy our environment and the atmosphere, we're screwed, "the world will go on as it was"
As you probably know by now with Rush it's not just song it's also a fantastic story as well great listener.

The plight of balance..
In the third movement I hear some Yes influence, such a killer song and they pulled this off live on many tours
And I just thought it was referring to the hairstyle of the chick on the cover. 😏
You are one cool dude bro.
I am so glad that you found RUSH. They are so amazing and so tight together. Keep RUSHING on my friend.

Real good reaction!! You gotta remember that they wrote this song in 1980…. And it’s still relevant (even more, I would say) here in 2021!!
"The most endangered species....the honest man" How true is that in the last 18 months?
You major in Chemistry !?
That's fuckin' cool, my new friend. ;-)
We are doomed to repeat.
If you majored in Chemistry, Rush has a song on the Signals album called Chemistry!!! Check it out.

The honest man is the most endangered species on earth. I believe it was Neil Peart said this.
Black people know good music when they hear it👍

Please check out Rush "Hemispheres". 21 minutes of musical bliss
If you like this U gotta do Working Man by them to catch the other side of the argument.

The video has nothing to do with Rush. It's not their disgusting images, and certainly not their message
