- Today is a crazy day! It's Cole's 30th Birthday and it also happens to coincide with the The Great North American Solar Eclipse! To celebrate all of this we are going to be going fishing in the draining lake to see how the eclipse makes them react and then experiencing the moment of totality together on our dock. The Desert Blows!! Take it from a Desert Storm vet. Thank God, Uncle Sam sent me back to Germany after 92 days. Ahhhh! Bier! My Dad's birthday is today, April 9th. He's 79 today. He was stationed in Germany from '61 to '63. We chewed some of the same ground.

The best of both worlds. Fishing and total eclipse. I was fortunate to do half of it with my first and probably only total eclipse. But like you Jay and Cypress, it was a great day.
One of the few places that wasn't overcast. I live out of the path for the eclipse, so it was uneventful here in Georgia. Happy birthday Cole!

Happy birthday. What a cool day to celebrate. We were in the path of totality as well. We had a little over four minutes of totality. I used my drone and just pointed it at the sun's reflection on our pond. It was cool to see how quickly it went dark. Then I fished afterward and caught some good panfish.

A most happy birthday to you! What a treat to share your birthday with the total eclipse! I was also in the path of totality where I live in the Dallas area. We were cloudy, but the clouds parted just when we needed them to and we got to experience the full totality cycle.

After looking at you guys traveling to within feet of your slithery friend in the intro, maybe look into getting a side by side or some other atv or something. It would get you on the water quicker.
The lady of the house and I really like the family friendly content. Also it's good to see someone that isn't always on a big bass boat or even a kayak. Seeing bank fishing or creek wading gives me more of an idea of what I could potentially work here in Ohio.
Also enjoyed the collab you and Mr Dalton had a little bit back.

Years ago I had a friend show/tell me how to walk a log easily...he simply said "Don't watch your feet...focus a out 3 feet in front of you & just walk it out." Works for me. As for Mr. No-Shoulders...I just push them out of the way.

Happy Belated Birthday. A bunch of nice fish, and great coverage of the sun getting mooned the other day. where I am in Pensacola, FL we didn't get totality from the eclipse, we got like 76%, but it still got fairly dark.

If you ever do that catch and cook with chain pickeral I recommend scaling fillet and scoring them about an 8th inch apart all the way to skin. It helps cook through the bones
