It's just really Nice to see
You guys out together!
So much fun to see both of you fishing. 🌼
Those are buttercats sweet meat if you can catch a mess!, worth it
Nice to see both of you fishing again, blessings
The other day on your urban fishing trip I said I thought you two could catch fish in a mud puddle, now you've proved you can. Good job.
I definitely enjoyed your trip. It brings back memories with my brothers. Glad to see you guys fishing together. You guys feed off each other and always have a great time. God bless you guys
Love y'all both ❤. Need to see those beautiful kids
SO Much interesting stuff in this video!! I see the Triple 888 Zebco, the vintage Green Shimano Curado! I LOVE seeing the old gear catching fish again! Very cool video guys 🎉
I recommend those green machine e7 curados 10/10 times, the 888…. Not so much lol 😅😅😅
The first time I ever saw my daddy cry was when he got finned by one of those mud cats those jokers hurt to no end. Great job on those grinnel also. Another great video from Harken production 😅
Looks like a place ya would see The Turtle Man lol!
Be careful for sasquatch and dogman walking through that cover. Arkansas can be a strange place.
Damn right it can
(From a resident).
Aliens
That was my 1st thought
The Legend of Boggy Creek was in that neck of the woods
I’m in north Louisiana! About 3 hours south! We are just as weird!! Lol! 🙊🧌
Hi Cole, Jay, Cyprus and Summer. Great video Need to see Summer Please Yall find fish were ever you go. Nice fish. God bless and love yall ❤❤
Glad to see Jay out again. Love the choice of music 🎶 🎵
Love you guys. Watching from England. You make me smile. So helpful your family. 🐟🐠🐛
It would be cool to see y’all throw a cast net in that small hole. Enjoy all your videos!!!❤❤
That looked like a lot of fun!
so nice to see you guys fishing together again
Happy Sunday my friends ❤thanks 4 the great podcast!❤
Y'all find some strange places to fish!! Makes it entertaining 😆
Here on time today
Nice video. You're blessed to live in those surroundings
This video brings back alot of memories for me. There used to be a secluded pond out in a field like that where I used to fish when I was younger. It was a long walk but I could only go early Spring or late Fall because of snakes. Thanks for sharing and bringing back some good memories to me.
Going crazy over little fish 😂😂😂😂😂
Haven’t even got to the video yet, but I love y’all’s videos. Y’all do such a great job and are fun to watch
Another great video, I always enjoy the nature shots you add.
Another wonderful video. Enjoyed it so much
What a great little mud hole. Lol.
Glad to see jay again we need updates on the kids
Good fishing video! First time for me but now a subscriber.
More of the mud-fish aka Grinnell fishing adventure.
Great entertainment!!
Thanks guys!!
Exciting puddle fishing!
She's got a beautiful hook set!! Impressive, keep it up guys 🤙
Hobie eye wear glasses looked nice in the ad. I've lost multiple shades in the River
Boy them bullhead are some awesome live flatty catfish bait. Even the small ones. Get em in that lake before it drops too low. Pretty sad bout that. Maybe you can get down south some when it drains. Love how you guys raise your family. Keep it up. God bless.
if you're getting bullhead that size I don't mind them and they are good to eat lots of flavor
Awesome, you guys are right those bullhead have a weird strong bite 🤣next time bring some jigs with you and some steel leaders, those gar will bite right through fishing line. The Longnose gar use to attack my floats while i was walleye fishing reeling in and bite my line off.
Jay was just asking to get slapped by that bowfin!!!😂😂😂😂👋👋👋
Dude! U have it all. A cute girl that loves to fish. U have it all buddy!
Cole, I love your expertise on all the fish, Jay you are so adorable ❤❤🍼🍼you are the perfect couple and family❤❤
Up in NY I use tick spray when in the tall grass,I sure hope you do also.Great video and nice to see you both .
Cool fishing *****
Something that those grinnels get that green spot in spring. Great Vid of U2!!! Thank YALL!!!
Great adventure guys.
Just started the video. My guess is Grinnell also known as Bowfin. That was a pretty nice one at the end. Fun day fishing and definitely a different kind of adventure.
We call those bowfin dogfish in Michigan. Not many around but I haven’t gone looking for them either. Been a few years since I caught one. A lot of people kill them? But I don’t. Thanks for bringing us along👍
Cole, you are a helluva fisherman..... but "Cole and Jay" isnt Cole and Jay, without Jay. God Bless you two.
I love you guys! I think you could fish in an abandoned outhouse and catch fish!
Y’all are holding some great T-bone steaks in your hands. Those are some of the best tasting catfish a person can put on their plate. Batter with yellow corn meal salt and pepper and fry those babies. I’d rather have those than a channel cat or blue cats. Y’all should give them a try. If not send them to me. Thanks for all y’all’s videos they are so good and look very fun being together with the person you love. Can’t beat that. The woman I married actually lied to me about her loving fishing and hunting so I no longer have anyone to share my love of the outdoors with. Thanks again for reminding me on what I missed out on.
That's my kayak duck hunting spot. 😂 good stuff ya'll
Way to excited to fish a stocked pond
They're call Grinnel in our neighborhood, love the diversity in your vidieos, thanks guys
THANKS FOR THE FINE VIDEOS *****
You should use a rubber minnow, blackfish eat them up here in nc
My guess is bowfin. Scallycat 0:08 blackfish, cottonfish, cypress trout, freshwater dogfish, grinnel, grindle, mud pike, mudfish, Choupique, and swamp trout!
If you want to catch bowling, just throw a black power worm or a black spinnerbait. I fish the Roanoke river in NC and they're everywhere. Black is one color I will not throw anymore.
"Keep out of the tall grass." Jurassic park 101.
Had a big Yellow Bullhead clamp down on my finger in the dark once...my coworkers fishing that night with me never let the screech I let out go. In my defense they have a disproportionate bite force, hahaha.
I was waiting for the t rex to show but seriously great fishing trip
Loved the video, I am a freeze filing kind of person and just hate it when I dont catch any to put in the freezer!!!
Really good to see Jay out fishing again, even if this was something you pre-recorded from before "The Summer of SUMMER"...lol....you guys be safe, hold tight to little Cy and baby Summer...have fun, catch fish, and love each other....peace out, from Doc, in the Great White(now kinda green and brown, heading into fall) North of southern Ontario, Canada.
Thanks! We filmed this video this week!
@@COLE_and_JAY That makes it even better...Jay's in fishing momma mode...lol...and maybe Cole should stay home and look after the babies, and Jay should go fishin'...lol
nice video with your daughter :)
The tall plants looks like Partridge Pea .
4//0-5/0 ewg does very well on bowfin. i slam them in early free up here in NY. they also love shrimp
Adobe lake,wow.
Those first two would have gone on the stringer in my day
Being that that cesspool of mud contains so many cats, I'd not eat a one as they would taste so dirty.
Fun day though fishing the "Forest Gump" swamp where it's like a pool of chocolates cause you never know what you're gonna get.
Here in South Georgia we use Mepps inline spinner baits with red rooster tail and treble hook for bowfin....at least I do. And they slam it every time
Holy cow!!! I loved the video but I'm from the city and I don't cruise in the forest like that!!! Anyway, bravo and keep them videos comin
😂😂😂😂. That takes some effort to fish like that. Not for this old man. Lol😂😂😂
I caught a large bowfin (grinnel) in 6-7 lb range in Bayou Bodcau in south Arkansas years ago. Was bass fishing with artificial worm and thought I had the best bass I ever had...fought harder than a bass...caught many more over the years but was only one on artificial lure.
Those bowfin or "blackfish in nc" do fight hard. Caught many here in the Tarheel state creeks. Lots of gar too in the same places. On lures or cut up bluegill.
We call em Dogfish in Michigan. Love ‘em.
What a brutal place to be a fish.
Looks like perfect water for bowfins
Bowling will hit a top water lure.
You need to come to eastern Kentucky I'll take you musky fishing and look for timber rattlesnakes
probably same bowfin she got lol small hole but tons of fun
Push buttons zebcos 😃
Chaupique is what we call bowfin, dude they make great sauce picant. Seriously. Maybe a couple out of a black water cove, those guys were muddy. But do not hesitate to filet then chunk into a sauce picant.
We have a bunch in Michigan we call them dog fish they get huge
I had a honey hole pond like 10% bigger and not as dirty and the 1st time i fished it i caught an 8lb bass that nobody thought there was fish in there then i went on to catch a ton of bass none under 4 lbs biggest 11 lbs then a distant family member found out and cleaned it out keeping over 25 bass from 3lbs to the biggest being 12 he ate them all and havent caught a fish since out of there
❤❤❤❤
Great video- you're lucky you didn't catch any algae toxin and related illness in that little dirty water hole (lol) . Was that pond fed by a stream?
Yeah it’s a big slough that’s just gotten really low
Glad y’all don’t keep and eat any of those fish. Although I’ve kept some out of pretty nasty water when I was a kid. Mudcat is all I could catch. Fished with chicken liver under a bobber. Caught several channel cat also.
Grinnell I believe the technical name is bowfin
Down here in Tennessee we call bowfin Grinnal I hope I spelled that right I have call a lot of them them in the Harpeth River mostly on cut bait. I’ll caught one or two on swim baits.
Great video!!! Are bowfin edible? Probably very hard to clean??!! Great video!!!!❤❤❤
Man bowfin are really hard to catch because of there boney head and jaw. I've only ever caught 3 in 40 years of fishing and every time I was using an ultra sharp small diameter hook and just caught the skin on there lips. Good job and enjoyed the video
Bowfin
I'm at 6:49
If yall are looking for gator gar I know a little creek over here in Mississippi with 6+ footers
It's always the hole in the middle of nowhere with the large amount of fish in them. And the snakes. You literally said it as I was wondering if you seen one. Good content. I'm subbing and hoping to do with my misses one day
Love finding these weird, off the beaten path, fishing spots even if it ends up just being mostly a gar hole lol
I would keep the choupique!
That plant is called Sesbania..
We called them Chugheads . I have not eaten them but my grandma used to can them for winter. With 11 kids, they ate everything they raised, caught or killed.
We called the bowfin, a grinnel. If you want to catch one of those, take a brand new, favorite buzz bait and throw it for the biggest bass you have ever seen. That’s when you will get it to bite,… and destroy the new bait and any chance of getting the big bass.
Depends on what name you call it, dog fish, grenal, or ?
A crappie 🤔🙌🏾
Cole why didn’t you lip that one, like you did the bullhead he’s only got a few Teeth. Lol😂. Just kidding I love watching y’all’s videos. Hope the little ones are good and growing well.❤❤
In the northeast we call them dogfish. Not sure why. They are fun to catch!!
Dont get to excited you just about flicked that gar into the next county lol
Cole and Jay so sorry to hear this bad news because I know it's a way of life for you and so many. I hate to think about all of the wildlife that will be affected by this. This is truly sad and I do hope things will work out in someway. Be encouraged and whatever journey you take from here be comforting and exciting.
What bad news? Update me friend.
What are you talking about
What are you talking about
Lay off the intoxicants ur hearing stuff
Sorry Jay, but I had to laugh when you was fish slapped. You do fish really well. ❤
Poor J getting fish slapped by that bowfin. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
😂😂😂😂
If you like to catch those things there's a small lake called Smith lake in Arkansas close to the sulfur river it's loaded with them
I'm thinking your looking for Snakeheads.
