I tricked out my Ruger Mk4 Target (Stainless) with Volquartsen parts...the only things left Ruger are the frame and a few bolts ;-). I put in a Volquartsen Accurizing Kit (the same trigger kit that's used on the Mambas), got the Volquartsen Competition Bolt as well as the 6" LLV Upper from Volquartsen and also the Volquartsen Laminated Grip (red). Atm I use the gun with a Vortex Venom but I plan to also get the 4.5" LLV Upper. I plan to put the Venom on the 4.5" upper and a Leupold FX-II 4x28 handgun scope on the 6" one... ;-)
I literally just bought this same setup lol. Dead air mask and mini mamba. As soon as I saw it featured on 22 plinksters channel I knew I had to have it. I was going to go with the station 6 from B&T but had a change of heart.
Haha that’s funny. I also had interest in the station six but after talking with a few people it seems that it was louder than they expected. That dissuaded me from purchasing one (for now at least , I still think the Station 6 is interesting). With this set up it truly is hollywood quiet, and the quality is phenomenal.
@@AXARMS yeah I had heard the same. The thing that really disappointed about me is it ships with the wiped can and they don’t last that long from what I heard. Plus if you wanted the “training can” it would be another stamp plus cost of the can. Still a super cool pistol and if I’m being honest I think it’s damn sexy. But I figured I’d get a little more enjoyment and use out of the mamba.
I’d give the thunder beast 22td a look. It is superior to the mask ( my opinion) but seriously lol second would be the oculus which is heavy but quiet like a church mouse
@@johndenham9999 according to ballisticsbytheinch a 3" barrel is subsonic with every load they tested. I look forward to finding out when I get mine in
I cant help but think that while this is a modern take of sorts on the high-standard from world war 2, the Beretta 21A Covert seems like it would of been better suited to do the intended job thanks to the overall size no? with subsonic ammo both have to be similar when it comes to overall report.
I have done videos on the 21A Covert pistol as well. - The Volquartsen is a better host, not only is it more reliable & accurate, it’s also a quieter host gun.
@@AXARMS I just came from that video haha, thats good to know, ive been looking for a .22 to suppress and ive been torn between the volquartsen mini mamba, the beretta covert and the similar offerings from Ruger and the walther ppk's, best i can tell is the ruger is the only one currently still in military service in the .22 variant which means the Volquartsen wins out it would seem. good videos keep it up.
Volquartsen is top notch quality. I've built many custom builds with their frames and bolts. The mini mamba is on my radar. Very cool pistol.
Yes indeed! Thank you for watching I highly recommend the mini mamba!

Awesome
I look forward to a range test video for this one.
Thanks!
Browning buck mark are the best on the market right now . The length helps you reach out and touch someone .
That’s debatable I prefer a shorter overall package for the intended purpose, if i’m shooting at a distance i’m selecting another option.
love it, i wanna put mines together by starting off with the mark 4 22lr and adding the vol parts
I have a ruger tactical and it definitely still shoots at supper sonic. So even with a suppressor you can get that down range Crack.
Hmm well if these go super I will use subs.
doesn't the tactical have a 4.5" barrel?
It does.. If you shoot federal punch. Or super maximum. Or CCI copper.. They will all reach super sonic

The MK IV barrel length is 4.4” vs the Mini Mamba’s 3.0”. That makes a HUGE difference.
great. now I need to get a mini mamba...thanks
Haha I do what I can!
@@AXARMS yeah so it’s in the mail. LGS had one but found it cheaper online. Stoked.
@@armedandbroken Nice you will love it!
Looking forward to more shooting videos
Thanks!
Yeah that’s awesome love this channel
I wonder if the TBA Suppressors bolt lock system would work on the Volquartsen? That would be awesome
I need to look into that…
Yes I would like to know the outcome of the bolt lock.
Do you own a holster for it bro, got the same set up with a DPP leupold
Can you use the iron sights with thr red dot mounted?
