I think you look great with it as is…a perfect level of stylish slouchiness! So minimal ribbing finish to keep the focus on the beautiful details of this pattern.😊
On the Pina Colada...ribbing and done. It's so light and sheer that it totally works as summer/transition top. Because it's so oversized no sleeves and just ribbing will look finished. Like completed not just rushed at the end. If you chose to do sleeves you'll have to wear a long sleeve thermal underneath if you wear it in winter. On the No Limit...I LOVE how yours turned out! I got the book. I started the NL sweater and it reaaly didnt work for me. I did the ribbing and knit about 6 inches and it didnt fit well. I dont remember the instructuins at this point or how I picked what my cast on was. I put it aside to see if I could salvage the yarn. I love the look of it. I started it right after you finishrd yours. Well.....I was on vaca 2 weeks ago and started it over but I'm not following exactly the pattern but AM following the idea of the set up. I can not even tell you how much I love it. I am totally micro managing it but I am so pleased with how it looks that I dont feel bad about it. It might take me 3 months to weave in the ends but I'm also ok with that becaisr Im loving it so much. Ok busy girl...good luck finishing up you WIPs. Cant wait to see what you choose.
I love the Pina Colada and I think it will look great and wear well with the short sleeves! What a labor of love! I also really love the beads on your Kevat!
It would undoubtebly look even more sumptuous with sleeves. Slim ones. But it is *stunning* already. I am blown away by the skill and work you have knit into that thing! I think we often try to make these decisions when looking in the mirror, but we get most joy from our clothes when we are just wearing them and looking down at them as we live our lives. So my advice is to put it on, do stuff and forget you’re wearing it for a while and then look down at your arms every so often and think, ‘Right now, do I wish this had sleeves?‘ 😂
The sweater is beautiful as is. It’s option one all the way for me. I think you could wear it over long sleeve shirt or dress if it’s cold or as a short sleeve top when it’s warm. think long sleeves would actually detract from the elegance of it.
Option one looks great already! So I would just knit the ribbing and call it a day 😊 I love, love, love your Kevät 😍When I saw your Kevät for the first time, i decided I’ve gotta knit that too. Before that I wasn’t sure if I needed one 😄 Btw, I’m from Finland ja kevät means spring in finnish. It is pronounced like this: the e is pronounced like e in bell, and the ä like a in hat 😊
Omg I love the yarn and colors you chose for the Pina sweater! I like that much better than the actual picture for the pattern. I love how it looks so light and airy 😍 Sans sleeves also looks awesome!
I feel like this was a dream sweater of yours and if you do the short sleeves, you might not feel like that dream is completed. I'm totally pro taking a break from the project and then doing the smaller sleeve when you're ready. Here for anything you end up doing! It is a breathtaking knit!
Love the pina colada as is. My first preference would be to add rib and call it good. If you decide you want sleeves, I’d go slimmer. I like your reasoning for removing a diamond. You really have a win win win situation. It is absolutely stunning
The Pina Colada sweater fits you great! It looks lovely, as is. Maybe just add the ribbing and enjoy it! Later on, you can add sleeves if you choose to.
Your Piña Colada is gorgeous! I love it so much. I feel like the sleeves don’t “make” this pattern, it is a statement piece because of the diamonds and the gorgeous color combination you chose. It looks done to me, so if you just rib the armholes and start wearing it, it will be amazing! As you said, you can always change your mind later and do the sleeves if you want. 😊
You inspired me to knit a Little Sister’s Romper. Such a neat and simple pattern. I tried an Icelandic bind off at the neck edge - first time doing this and it gave a nice neat finish that looks a bit like another garter bump. I might also try some embroidery using the designs from the free Filcolana pattern Familien Jacobsen. So cute.
I love how the pina colada is turning out! Selfishly I want to say, "go for the slim sleeve option!" but only because I'm curious how they would look. But LEGIT it looks sooooooooo good right now! So my real answer is ribbing and end it there. Re: that ribbing, as I was looking at it, I wondered if it might look nice to do the sleeve ribbing with the two colors held together, so that it wouldn't be as high contrast as the hem and collar? Epic congrats on your magnum opus! It is beautiful!
I like your PomPom sweater. I would end it there and call it a day. I think the sleeves are going to make the sweater look even bigger on you. Good job that looks like a huge challenge…..
Your Pina Colada is gorgeous, it would be beautiful with just the ribbing, maybe do a little wider rib. You can always add sleeves later. Love your podcast 💕
Hi Lauryl! Your pina colada is so elegant! I would probably just finish with short and simple sleeves (written as I work tandem sleeves of my ferdagenser 🙃) 💕 Lorien
Have you thought of a Tincan knits flax sweater for baby gifts? That is my go to. My other go to is baby socks from left over sock yarn and they have been really well received.
Gorgeous top, you could do the ribbing & start to wear it as is. See how you feel, do you want/need sleeves? If so I would make slim sleeves in the black only. Good luck 😘❤️🇦🇺
Since you asked. Ribbing and bind off. I actually think it looks better like it is than with the sleeves. And like you said. You can always add the sleeves later if you feel you must have them.
Love your videos. I think you should keep it short sleeve. In the winter time you could wear a black shirt underneath it. I think it will looks nice with short sleeves.
Just add ribbing at the sleeve caps and be done. It is beautiful and if you're feeling a bit burnt out, you will be sick to death of it after knitting sleeves and that would be a shame. A real shame. As you said, you can always add sleeves later after wearing it for awhile with cap sleeves. Gorgeous pattern and masterfully knit! 🙂

I’m not going to lie when you originally talked about not knitting the sleeves this season in another episode I thought that was a mistake. Now that I see it with the body completed I actually think it will look nice if you end it now with ribbing and no sleeves.
I think you would get more wear out of the sweater if you put some sort of sleeve. I enjoy seeing what you do with your sweaters! The original colors of that sweater didn’t appeal to my personal taste but I would wear your sweater. It is stunning .
With the dilemma, I find that every time I do something "good enough" because I just want it to be done I regret it, and then I don't want to do the extra work to pull it out and redo it, so I personally think it's worth it to just do the extra work now to get exactly what you want, because you didn't go into this sweater going "okay but I want it with short sleeves" you fell in love with the long sleeve version, so it seems like it's just the tired talking, so my vote is the sleeve with one less diamond
Finish with the slimmer sleeves…you might have to seam the sides up a bit more. I’ve been watching from episode 1 and I have a pretty good idea of your preferences and style…my gut tells me you’ll like it better with the slimmer sleeves. But you know yourself best. Maybe just take a break…
Interesting dilemma😊 Do you live in a transitional weather area? 😊 I find with the increasing temperatures many of us are facing, my knitting selections are becoming more transitional 😊 Vote for option 1. 😊 You’ve done enough 😊
Beautiful work on all your tops. regarding the one with the dilemma. I think you should just put on the ribbing and be done. It’s absolutely gorgeous!
I would put ribbing n the sleeves and be done. It’s gorgeous just the way it is. Beautiful
I agree with most of the comments! Just do the ribbing and bind off! It looks gorgeous!
I think you look great with it as is…a perfect level of stylish slouchiness! So minimal ribbing finish to keep the focus on the beautiful details of this pattern.😊

🖤thank you
Definitely you should go for short sleeves! It's beautiful enough without longer sleeves! 🎉
It would undoubtebly look even more sumptuous with sleeves. Slim ones. But it is *stunning* already. I am blown away by the skill and work you have knit into that thing!

I would leave the sweater like this, it’s gorgeous
I actually think that top looks gorgeous with the sleeve length it's at.

Hello ! Thank you for the pronunciation help 🖤🖤🖤
Stop as it is. I actually really like the way it looks right now
Beautiful tops. I would the ribbing and end it there. It is beautiful and fits you perfectly.
Obsessed with your pina colada! I would love to have it in my wardrobe! Adding ribbing and keeping it that way is my vote ❤
I LOVE it as it is and I'd just finish the sleeves with ribbing! It's a very special piece!
I agree!
Personally I think the Pom Pom sweater is gorgeous how it is. I’d put the ribbing on and call it good. It’s so gorgeous. Great job ❤
Gorgeous sweater! I think you should be done with it and not knit sleeves! It’s so lovely as it is!! ❤
Omg I love the yarn and colors you chose for the Pina sweater! I like that much better than the actual picture for the pattern. I love how it looks so light and airy 😍 Sans sleeves also looks awesome!

Thank you so much 🖤a break is a smart idea
Pausing the video to say, finish it and call it a day! It's beautiful as-is ❤
Thank you Sandra 🖤
Love the idea of the ribbed cuffs for your Pina Colada - I think sleeves would be too much. Gorgeous knit! Well done for sticking with it!❤
Beth, Thank you so much!🖤
Love the pina colada as is. My first preference would be to add rib and call it good. If you decide you want sleeves, I’d go slimmer. I like your reasoning for removing a diamond. You really have a win win win situation. It is absolutely stunning
I love your Piña Colada as is! No sleeves needed.
Your sweater is amazing! I think it would still look beautiful just adding a ribbing on the sleeve and calling it done. 😊

Gorgeous knits! I think adding just ribbing to the pina colada sweater would be perfect. Definitely not wide sleeves.

I hadn’t thought of leaving out the intarsia on the sleeves 🖤

Hi!! I love your knits. Your diamond blouse looks stunning on you the way it is so my vote is option 1.
Hi🖤 thank you so much
I vote add ribbing and call it. It looks so cute as is and you won't get any warmth from the sleeves, it's a more summer knit I would think.
It looks complete as it is. Do the ribbing and enjoy.
I am for just add ribbing on the sleeves !! It hangs on you beautifully, and it doesnt look like a "warm" sleeved sweater !!
I’d go with short sleeves like you have planned, it already looks really cute !
Btw I’m in Portland too!
Yay another Portlander 🖤
I think just the ribbing😊, I think it looks great! And I am not sure about the pick up being different than the collar and bottom rib.
That top is so pretty as is. I’d just add ribbing and call it good.
stunning Pina Colada.just do a little ribbing and finish.no need for sleeves
Lærke Bakker is Danish. Her second book is about knitting and about how to live with your life experience. About processing grief, guilt and shame with knitting needles
Thank you for this information I tried to edit in a correction because I realized too late that she was danish 🖤
I would want the rib and be done. If you want sleeves, I think the slimmer sleeve would be better
Finish the sweater and be done! If you want to go back and add sleeves later, you can. Don't push it when you know you're burned out.
Valerie such good advice 🖤
I’m not going to lie when you originally talked about not knitting the sleeves this season in another episode I thought that was a mistake. Now that I see it with the body completed I actually think it will look nice if you end it now with ribbing and no sleeves.
I'd either just add the ribbing or, just knit the sleeves without the diamonds, then maybe so 1 or 2 at the cuff ❤❤
It's obviously a summer garment, so forget the dam sleeves & be happy !!
I think you would get more wear out of the sweater if you put some sort of sleeve. I enjoy seeing what you do with your sweaters! The original colors of that sweater didn’t appeal to my personal taste but I would wear your sweater. It is stunning .
I think you should leave the sleeves short. It looks great on you like that

Option no 1!!!
I think it's best without sleeves, and I never say that. Truly I think sleeves would detract from it.
Short sleeves I think.
do the ribbing and be done
