      Thanks Tim, it's a lovely site and fantastic area - The cave tour was much better than I was expecting and only bits of it shown in the video so it doesn't spoil it. Hope you're having a great weekend, all the best, David & Rachel 👍

    We haven’t done the Peak District much but we did like Castleton! Lots of quaint shops and nice little eateries! How much for those cave?? 😮 daylight robbery although it did look cool! Nice site tour, lots on offer! You were funny with the divider everyone who has met you will be wandering if it’s them 🤣 watching the sunset with a glass of wine very civilised! The tea room was lovely and the breakfast looked yummy! Have a great week guys ❤

    Hiya David Rachel and Roxy. What a great campsite that is state of the art with brick paved hard standing. Beautiful little villages aswell enjoyed the mine visit not to sure about getting under the rock with my 4 wheeled walker. You two cram so much in a short vlog. Oh that brekky looked fantastic and good weather aswell. Keswick campsite by the lake was evacuated on Saturday it's underwater all the heavy rain we've had there's a video on RUclips showing it.
    Tek care till next time

      Hi Malcolm & Sheila I (Rachel) could not do the caves I can’t stand claustrophobic spaces! So happy to trot Roxy!
      I saw Keswick evacuated but I can see why. I went to visit my dad (he sends his regards) yesterday and all the fields round him were under water! 💦
      I drove back in gale force winds & torrential rain 🌧️
      Hope you are both well xx

    Hi david & Rachel another cracking site for us to look at,good there is a bus stop outside and your able to walk to the village, not too far for us to travel to on a friday evening after work either. I am a fan of hedging dividing pitches they give you more privacy and stops people walking across your pitch( a pet hate of mine)
    Hope you,ve had a good bank holiday weekend, cant believe its september next week x

      It’s good when you can find a nice site that you can travel to after work on a Friday x
      It’s great that there is a bus stop & a village. The facilities were really good too!
      Ohhhhhh yes - people walking across pitches - never thought of that - you are right - it’s also a pet hate of mine!
      We have had a good weekend thank you but @ home catching up on jobs 😩

    Hi there David and Rachel, We stayed there a long while ago on the pitch opposite you overlooking the river and loved it there. We have since stayed at the club site and walked up Mam Tor. It certainly is a great area to explore and a lovely part of Derbyshire. You have our style of filming - short snappy clips 👍. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀

      Hi Rob & Gail, it’s a lovely site and area isn’t it - would you recommend the Club site also? It’s somewhere we want to go back to as it was too quick a visit to properly explore. Thanks very much and have a great rest of the weekend, All the very best, David & Rachel 👍

    This is a site I’ve looked at online but not been to. I think it is one we will visit in the future but we tend to do day trips to the area. I like dividers when it’s just Steve and me with Max but not when we’re with friends. Take care Gill

    • @LeisureBit
      @LeisureBit  16 дней назад +1

      Hi Gill it is a lovely site and I do like to be able to walk to somewhere with pubs, restaurants, tea rooms & shops etc.
      Somebody before mentioned dividers were good to stop people walking over your pitch which is a good point
      I would love to live close the Derbyshire to do day trips.
      Thank you for watching & commenting as ever xx

    Dividers. Better to have them and not need them and not have them and need them. Lol.
    We have just been to Peak District, we stayed at Tissington campsite. Right next to the Tissington trail. Great area to visit. Thanks for sharing your vlog.

    The first time we visited this site was in the early 1980s with a frame tent. There was almost nothing there back then. Just a huge field. It looks very popular now and the modern facilities. The hope valley is a nice area to explore. 😃👍🏻🚐💙 Trev n Sue

      Wow, Imagine it's slowly grown over the years. Bet it looks a bit different now. Hope Valley is lovely, I used to visit the Peak District when I was a young lad to visit some friends with my aunt and uncle, it has very fond memories and it's fantastic to visit again - I hope (pardon the pun) I will be back at some point in the future! Have a lovely rest of the weekend, all the very best, David & Rachel 👍

    Hi guys. Great vlog. I can't believe how much the Devil's Arse costs now. I'm sure it was half that when I went in 2019! I'll be giving Lanside a miss though. I've had the pleasure of pitch #4 along the road at the C&MC site. (next to the castleton road and rather noisey). Laneside has a number of similar pitches, so it's not for me!

    • @LeisureBit
      @LeisureBit  17 дней назад

      Thank you - Yes, it’s not cheap is it to go and visit the caves now a days - I made sure I was listening as didn’t want to have to go around again :) Ah, I imagine if you are next to the road it could be a bit noisy (you could hear the traffic from where we were which is about as far from the road as you can get) - suppose it’s a busy road and quite a lot of noisy vehicles going past. We did like the site though and it’s a lovely area, apart from the traffic. All the best, David & Rachel 👍

    Where was their dog whilst they were looking around?. Are the pubs dog friendly?

    • @LeisureBit
      @LeisureBit  5 дней назад

      Morning
      When David went in the caves and looked round Castleton you may of noticed he went by himself and I stayed with Roxy in the van 🚐
      Yes the pub we went to and the cafe were both dog friendly.
      We have been to the Harrogate show this weekend and Roxy gets really bored at the shows & they are too busy for her so she went to stay with her friends at the doggy Creche & had a fantastic weekend. Equally we were up early & went to collect her first thing 💗💗
      Thank you for your comment
