After having heard about this loop for years, last year I decided to tour Thailand's North and stayed in Chiang Mai for 4 days. I did the loop on Day 2, it was a real struggle as l live in Nonthaburi near Bangkok, no hill to climb and I was 70 last year. On the steepest section, I walked, altogether about 10 times. It seems if you don't live in a hilly area, doing such loop is a real challenge unless you are fit and young.
awesome ride! though the climbs are really steep, the efforts are worth it given the spectacular scenery... thanks for sharing! supporting all the way from the philippines...
I went the same way as you drank all my water before the highest peak because I thought there would be a shop at the top, and there wasn't any until I stood in front of a truck at the hairpins section so he would stop cause I was going to die of thirst 😅
Wow that scenery looks awesome. What a coincidence, I just thought half seriously about going to Thailand for a road bike trip in December. Can you recommend it for a non-thai speaking tourist? If yes, what regions do you like most for a road bike? Anyway, thanks for the great video!
Thanks for your comment!! Stunning scenery indeed and great roads for cycling! If you go to Chiang Mai you can get by in most places speaking English, but if you venture a bit in rural areas it's a bit harder to communicate... My favorite is Chiang Rai for cycling: Doi Chaang and Phu Chi Fah areas, 3-4 hours from Chiang Mai, we organize cycling trips there :) Thanks for your support and please like and share with friends who might be interested in cycling in Chiang Mai/Northern Thailand, cheers!

It's hit and miss at the Samoeng view point, sometimes you'll find locals selling water, juice and fruit, but we never know when!
Awesome 👏 nice elevation respect ✊ so cold.
Thanks :) , should try this ride together! We have support car too, to ride like a pro! hehehe
Awesome can’t wait hopefully ,I just worry the elevations the air might thinner hard to brief, Singapore don’t have this type elevation.
This is one of my wish list ride in CNX.
100% recommended loop, they call it "the Classic" for a reason! clockwise direction is the easiest way :)
