Eats, drinks, and motorbikes! That's what northern Thailand is all about! Adventure around every turn. The best way to isolate n pass the time during covid!
Beautiful drone shots and perfect music. Love all the green landscapes. Can't wait to get out there and see it myself! Oh, I've never had the Mars or Twix ice cream, but I have had the Snickers ice cream...delicious! hah. Sucks that you got food poisoning man, that's the worst. Hope you've fully recovered!
+Solmadrid Vazquez Thanks man, appreciate the feedback and stoked you liked it. Ha all of the ice creams were great, but I think Snickers had the most going on so you've probably already had the best one!
Just as well you missed Mae Sa waterfall, it is just downstream from an elephant camp with 70 + elephants who swim and poop in the river. The Samoeng Loop goes arounf the mountain, Mae Sa is a river valley that parallels Hwy 1096 out to about the Queen's Bottanical Gardens. It looked like you went up toward the Smile Resort and west of Samoeng on 1349, which is an alternate route to Pai. I've just done my 30,000 KM motorcycle service and all of the riding was done in Northwest Thailand mountains. Enjoy!
It's good to see you guys back on the scene and I'm sorry to learn about Dane's "Thai Tummy' ordeal. First class video and the drone shots we epic. Thanks for taking us along! :)
+Larry Fournillier Thanks Larry - all better now and back at it! Doing a Thai Cooking class tomorrow which should be good fun and interesting for you, probably pretty basic compared to your skills though :P
Daneger and Stacey have fun in the class and I'm sure your cooking skills are probably very good. :) Again, it's great having you guys back in the saddle making awesome videos
+rheyzon algordo Sorry its been so long! I've been sick and we've been boring haha. Thanks again for the support :) Some cool videos coming soon, we're doing a Thai Cooking Class!
+Thai-ed up in Chiang Mai Thanks very much! Haha we might need a bit longer to make that trip happen, looks and sounds incredible though. Maybe will wait until after rainy season though!
It's been one hell of a hustle to get where we are now, it's cool to reflect back on that actually because the struggles just morph into something new once you adjust :)
Hello friends, I am fascinated by your videos of motorcycle trips around Thailand. Thank you. What a license to drive I need to travel around Thailannd on a scooter
+Shinji Speaks Hey Shinji - long time no talk! Yeah the road trip was absolutely epic, wish I'd taken my underwater cam to show just how wet it was though haha
+p Feeley We went anti clockwise - so reaching the cafe/restaurant shouldn't be too difficult if you're a machine on the bike! I tried to map it for you, see if this link works: www.google.co.th/maps/dir/Chiang+Mai/''/@18.7390324,98.8775568,13z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m13!4m12!1m5!1m1!1s0x30da3a7e90bb6f5d:0x98d46270a59b4367!2m2!1d98.9817163!2d18.7060641!1m5!1m1!1s0x30da3801861aaaad:0xafb7f09dd898efd3!2m2!1d98.8406558!2d18.786958
Hey guys awesome video and given me some inspiration for 2 weeks time. What is the restaurant at the end of the video called and how do i find it. I need to take the mrs there!! Thanks in advance 🤙
We did the loop yesterday. Absolutley amazing!!! We did it the opposite way to you guys so the bar with the view was one of the first places and it was shut 😭 ah well suppose we will have to come back. Thanks for the inspiration guys!!!
That's good question and since I am planning to come to visit Chaing Mai, and there are few Checkpoint where the police are expecting to see lot of tourist and they usually ask for your ID, they won't accept your current driver license and you will get fine for that. So if you are planning to drive on Scooter or anything that you are operate on vehicle, you are require to have International Driver License. It only cost like $24 USD. So it's better to get it than get fine because there are like 5 or 6 checkpoint and you don't want to get fine on every checkpoint you pass. You know. So it's better to get International License, but my biggest concern is are we require to have insurance...so that's second part I have to do research on that. I can't wait to go to Chaing Mai..because there are so many things to do there and I only plan to stay there for one and half day. That's not enough.
Hey dude....thank you for showing your awesome video, but there is something I want to ask you something. I know you haven't show almost everything you did in Chaing Mai, but did you ever gone to the Sticky Waterfall? How about the Zipline Adventure? Please tell me you went both location. (chuckle) I learn something new from you about the CAVE....I am going to do research on that. So you never went in to the CAVE? Alright, I hope you can respond to my concern and thank you for showing. Awesome video...Oh yeah by the way, what kind of camera do you use?
We've done zip lining - have a really old and crappy video on it no doubt, all these old CM vids aren't exactly amazing haha. Never made it to the sticky water falls tho
How was Zip Lining? I bet it's thrill to get it on? What else have you done in Chaing Mai? Did you went to the place where everyone eat nearby Airport?
Hey there you guys. I'm travelling to Chiang Mai in a month and wondering if you guys needed a motorcycle license or anything of the sort. Thanks in advance.
Back when we did this trip things were much more flexible, these days they want to see an IDP AND a motorcyle licence. Otherwise, they expect you to pay a few hundred baht on the spot and then you drive off. Call it a bribe if you want, but it is what it is and hundreds of tourists being hit per day
+Kid Chef Thats a pretty cool idea! I really wanted to find some local villages on this trip but no luck. We're off to Vietnam in less than a week anyway so more adventure coming yeeooow
We rode the Samoeng loop yesterday after being inspired by your video, cannot thankyou enough, stopped at Nanang restaurant (yeah that's the menu beverage place) I had the Pad See Ew Mu, was incredible, ordered another straight away, my partner had Gua Ging Mu which was great too. Anyone doing this loop stop there for amazing Thai food and service. The whole ride was amazing, keep up the great work Daneger and Stacey. P.s. huge congrats your engagement p.p.s. I showed the Nanang restaurant your video, they were stoked.
We absolutely loved this message - thanks so much for coming back to the vid and leaving a comment! We're so stoked you had a good time and showed our video to the owners, thats actually freakin awesome :)
+timctx We didn't really need to bother over the first 6 weeks or so while we got setup and new routines etc. We were tempted after that, but just never really did and we're leaving in a few days. 100% will when we come back though, love the freedom!
Sorta disappointing about the lack of frogs in this video...:-).......honestly, had given up on you, thought you'd given up - and gone back to solving crime, to pay the rent......in order for subs to explode, I recommend finding a niche to separate you from the pack - lot of Thailand vloggers about, these days - :-)
+Space Hobo Sorry to let you down man, just aint no frogs around haha. Nah hadn't given up, still heaps of cool stuff to come - doing a Thai Cooking Class tomorrow as well. RE the niche, yeah thats definitely the way but we don't really have anything unique going on haha. So our niche is.... we're leaving Thailand. WIll now be the Vietnam vloggers haha.
Now that is a mighty powerful niche for sure - full of frogs Vietnam by the way - and basically everything else animal kingdom imaginable on the menu - keep em coming....:-)....PS - ever thought of going to Nepal and do some awesome trekking/droning vids?

Aw man, wish we could go back and re-live this!
I'm literally sitting in the little restaurant from the end of your video now!! Thanks for the video guys!
That is absolute epicness!!
Erik Hansen how do i find this place? Off to chiang mai in 2 weeks

+rheyzon algordo Sorry its been so long! I've been sick and we've been boring haha. Thanks again for the support :) Some cool videos coming soon, we're doing a Thai Cooking Class!
I think there could be good market for a series of local Thai cooking videos.
Top vid guys - love your work. Mae Hong Son loop next time!!!
+Thai-ed up in Chiang Mai Thanks very much! Haha we might need a bit longer to make that trip happen, looks and sounds incredible though. Maybe will wait until after rainy season though!

@@DaneAndStacey Well put!
Thanks for the reminder, humbling to look back on those numbers actually.

Hello friends, I am fascinated by your videos of motorcycle trips around Thailand. Thank you.
What a license to drive I need to travel around Thailannd on a scooter
Too bad the Cave's closed. Atleast, the motorbike roadtrip served as a good sweet escape from the city.💖
+Shinji Speaks Hey Shinji - long time no talk! Yeah the road trip was absolutely epic, wish I'd taken my underwater cam to show just how wet it was though haha
Did you do the loop clockwise? Where's that cafe. I would like to cycle it. But not in the wet season

Hey guys awesome video and given me some inspiration for 2 weeks time. What is the restaurant at the end of the video called and how do i find it. I need to take the mrs there!! Thanks in advance 🤙
You're gonna love it! Can't help with the names on anything around that loop though, nothings really in English sorry!
We did the loop yesterday. Absolutley amazing!!! We did it the opposite way to you guys so the bar with the view was one of the first places and it was shut 😭 ah well suppose we will have to come back. Thanks for the inspiration guys!!!
Love the content! Keep’em coming 😊
Question: Do you need a license to legally ride the scooters in Thailand.
Thanks in advance.

+George Mac Thanks my man!
How many CC's were those bikes? I plan on doing this loop next February. Thanks!
Not really sure sorry, more than enough to go up the hills etc though

@@DaneAndStacey Ah thanks for the heads up! Safe travels.
All you need is an international driving license. Even if you don't have a Thai or IDL, the fine is about $12.00 USD.
Love the vlog eiditing and the drone parts :)
+GetLostwithJohnny Thanks Johnny - appreciate the feedback mate!
Where did you rent a scooter from? Traveling to Chiang Mai in May.
Cat Motors is the best option
I have an idea of what to do next. Go visit the hill tribes and film their food and dancing! Just an idea....
