I don’t think I can express how much this has helped me in the crease, after only one week I found immense changes and not only that but I have osgood-schlatter which is a knee disease and this has helped the pain and the butterfly, I definitely recommend this for all levels
this really helped with me (im 15 years old) and am wanting to become more flexible. I've been doing this type of stretching and its really made me more flexible (10 times more then last season thanks)
I haven't been on the ice or between the pipes in 6 years. I have really missed playing, even just open pick up games. I've dropped 72 lbs to date and I am rebuilding my strength for skating. Plus, I'm planning to strap on the pads again soon. I'm glad I found this video. I usually head out for cardio or gym by 5 am. I will be incorporating these stretches as part of my conditioning. Thanks!
+Roger Oscar Mike Great to hear Roger! Congrats on the weight drop. I hope you find my other videos useful for your training as well. All The Best, Coach Bent
+Roger Oscar Mike good for you man! I'm down to 260 from 315, never played before, got some gear went out last night had a blast, kicked my ass but happy I'm doing it, keep going!
I'm just ten and I'm a goalie I've been playing on foot for awhile and now I'm learning to skate and play goalie and I have a game tomorrow thanks a lot for the stretches!!!
Thank you. When I started playing goalie, butterflying wasn't really a thing. I started playing floor hockey and I'm getting killed 5-hole because I have that old school Brodeur style. We're not losing but we'd be even better if I could butterfly.
Hey I've been a goalie my entire career but I've always heard to hold stretches from 10-30 seconds. Curious as to why your first stretch your first one you only want 5 seconds. Thanks. Great vid.
Just found your channel lol I do those a lot while I watch tv lol please keep posting videos great instruction, question is it good to sit on your heels as a good stretch? Don’t want to hurt my knees.
Hi Jordan, I am in my first year of playing ( at the mature age of 25) and have found the transition in interesting one. I was wondering if you would be willing to go over a couple ways I can improve my off ice weight routines in addition to any other tips you may have aside from these general stretches. Thanks, Mike
I have a hard time seeing how most of these help the butterfly, besides the internal rotation stretches. Would it be possible to explain how the other stretches help the butterfly?
Your increasing flexibility and strength around the areas of the hip that compliment the ones that do the butterfly movement. With stretching and flexibility if you only focus on the one muscle you won’t improve and you’ll end up hurting yourself as well

You have to work the supporting muscles, it’s rare that any movement you make will use a single muscle, so why would you only train one muscle?
You gave me crabs
I'm an 8 year old goalie
i don't see how these stretches help they didn't work at all for me
