I planted a peach seed twenty year ago and it grew into a peach tree that has given me many peaches every year. From that tree I planted a seed too and now this peach seed has produced a nectarine tree. I saw on YT channel, "Gary's Best gardening" that the peach seed has the nectarine gene too. The nectarines are still small but I'm looking forward to having nectarines this year.

Well Hello out there to Robbie and Gary, and to everyone else!!! Hopefully it's a great day for you all. 😊 It's Elizabeth from NE Ohio, got 5 totes working on compost,they r done, got to do at least 5 more, usually after May 15th, will be r last frost. First time for me, my granddaughter and special needs brother r so excited to see the veggies come up. Blessings to all ❤

I just love ❤️ you!! I live in zone 6b Kentucky!! We pretty much have to plant everything every year 😩 too cold for anything to survive!! I have learned so much from you!! I got me a big polly tunnel this year to try to grow some plants outside instead of spending so much time & energy with growing lights heat mats etc 🥵🥵 So much work!! I love love figs but you can’t buy them in the grocery store 😥 !! I have them in big pots & try to keep them alive for the next year!! I wish you live in zone 6b so I can learn more for you! I’m setting up a chair garden for my sister that can’t bend down 😞 she’s just 65 but had an aneurysm. She’s so happy with her chair pot garden!! Much love 💕 and blessings to you & Gary!! Hi I'm in zone 6 Ohio, I have kale, lettuce, kohlrabi and some other brassicas survived till January, I use some PVC and frost blanket, hopefully this is helpful. Happy gardening.

I did spray my peach tree early spring, still have some leaf curl, less than previous, yes, I trash the leaves I take off. Garden work is in full swing now! Love it!!! Now I'm not jealous that you grow and I can't, I can now 😊😊

Hi Robbie, your gardens look ready to launch into spring! I’m as excited as you to get to gardening though it’s already in the low 90’s in Tucson, Arizona, zone 9a. Still cleaning overgrowth from our mild winter weather. I cut a chunk of fresh ginger and added some chocolate mint to my coffee this morning. Yummy! 🌵🐾Zoe🐾🐝🐰🐣🐣🐣🌺😘
@@BarbaraC02 ginger, and chocolate, mint, interesting, I may try it. you’ll probably have to create a lot of shade for your plants, but then they should do fine. The kitty litter might work on some of your container gardens as well.

For snails, you can drop them in a bucket of soapy water and it will kill them. The water has to have soap though, or the snail will just crawl out. Works for slugs and green horn worms too!

Well i planted onions in the container that i grew potatoes in last year and i must if missed a coupke because there are potatoes growing in there again.your gardens are very nice. The red breasted grossbeak is back this year. Along with his mate. I am very excited.

I’m so excited, I ordered walking onion starts on EBay. I ordered 6 and they sent 8. All 8 are doing well. I planted them on Sunday. I may use some green tops this year but these are my start for a future large crop that can sustain us and themselves. So excited to be growing them. Thank you for introducing all of us to them.

We just had another snow! I do have chickweed, cleavers, some miners lettuce in the back yard. The cleavers has a lot of great medicinal properties. Hope it will still be good enough to harvest after this snow.
I finally saw some hummingbirds here in Tucson Arizona. My mint always dies, I don't know what I'm going wrong. I also made another bird feeder like you did, but the little birds haven't gone in, but the Doves are trying to get in,

This past winter I was diligent growing seedlings indoor. Most of them grew but it was a lot of work! I won’t do it again. Next year I will wait for May. I am a lazy gardener😮. Too little time.
Here in Arizona we are on the end tail of Spring and starting the hot summer vegetables.
I live in NW PA, and our hummers usually come May 6th, according to my old neighbor, however, I was sitting on my porch a couple days ago, and I swear one flew past me. I didn’t see it, but I heard it. So, I have to get my feeders out.

I’m in southwest Missouri and still don’t have any hummingbirds. My necktor is exactly as you say to make it. I’ve got five feeders up and all I get are a little Downey woodpeckers drinking it.

Can you transplant walking onions when they're already forming bulbs-like what yours are doing? I'm wanting to divide some to get them started in more totes.
You probably could, as long as you keep them well watered. Don’t let them dry out.❤
In Florida they are telling us not to grow milkweed because it is bad for the migrating butterflies. They do not migrate to stay with the milkweed, and consequently contract a parasite which affects their development. The new butterflies cannot fly due to undeveloped or deformed wings! ! Don't know if that is the situation where you are though..PS there are more than one kind of milkweed so I do not know which one is bad.
Loved the changes and regrowth only a few days has made.

Last year was my first year gardening! You have taught me so much! I bought totes last year because of you and I am still using them. I was able to get some fabric containers this year. What are your thoughts on those? I also got some 5 gallon buckets.

Can you tell me WHAT a "walking onion" IS??? Please?? I live an hour south of Lake Ontario. And I like what we call "spring onions" in some of my pasta salads.......they are the ONLY type of onion I can get away with putting in my italian pasta salads and also my mayo based macaroni salads cuz BF absolutely hates onions, but I've trained him for the spring onions LOL...are walking onions the same??? Cuz other than spring time, it's hard to find them in the grocery stores and I'd like to be able to grow a container or two of my own....

Some do come up from seed, but usually from branches and the from leaves 😊

Yes, you can grow sunflowers, it’s still a little cool here they come up on their own all over when the weather warms up 😊
Sorry Robbie, but you really need to take care of those snails because they spread and then you’ll have a real problem from your front yard all over.
