  • On the Cheap, compost in place and growing so much food, a trellis out of Tulle, so much papaya, squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, lettuce, herbs, zucchini, greens, garlic chives, onions, Swiss chard, moringa, but this one has nature and deer. This type of garden can be growing in small spaces on up to a large yard. Tulle is always and extra bonus to keep the critters off of some things we do not want them to touch. I think I’m getting dementia! I saw the video about the Tullie, I forgot why because I was going to ask how to keep raccoons skunks etc(...depending where we live? Porcupines ) .. O U T ? ? But the Tillie was to keep BUGS?? Or the BIRDS?? Out?? Need memory medication! Haha no not funny! But I wanted to know if there’s specific plants that attract hummingbirds? They chopped the beautiful lilac tree down next door :(. Because of attracting bees bugs... but I know there a butterfly Bush I’m planting cuz I love them as well!
      Love the idea not putting in coloring in the sugar water but I’ve invented a way to color the water naturally ithout any side effects and plus it’s sweet too and they love it!! It’s called boiled beet juice!!! If anyone really likes to have color in their feeders!!

    Robby in that huge tub that has the empty milk jugs, you could turn it into a self wicking tub for heavy water feeders. You put a hole about one-two inches above the bottom of the milk jugs and also 2 inches below the top of the milk jugs. Leave the lids on. Use a tote or whatever that doesn't have holes in it. The milk jugs hold water and there is a perfect consistent water and oxygen source. You will put one hole on the side of the tub 2 inches up that your plants are never sitting in too much water. The reason for the hole in the bottom of the tub means that when the container has more than 2 inches of water, it drains out the hole. Its genius :) . Im not very good at explaining but Gardening With Leon is where I learned it. Go to Gardening With Leon Ep. 01 where he shows how to do it? I am a first year gardener and I cannot believe how healthy and productive my vegetable plants are. He also goes over it in other containers as well. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Youre a joy to watch.

    I was just wondering, can you seal the inside of the bricks?....I just ordered 3 bolts of tulle.
    I learned that some different stores on etsy have cheaper shipping, than others.
    While one store was 60 cents cheaper per bolt, their the shipping was 1/3 more from store,another store who was a bit more expensive per bolt ( but way cheaper for their shipping).
    ....So it was quite a bit cheaper....total cost.
    .....Being a senior on such a tiny limited income,that I have to save for everything,for awhile,and it does make a diference.
    .....So shop around within Etsy or the other like websites,if you also are on a way limited budget💜

      You can seal the bricks, with lined plastic....paint would wear off...I use food containers too, like milk cartons, soup cartons, or small flower pots. I have not been able to fine the tulle cheaper than this price on ebay. But the main thing is to get it cheap, as most all works great, HINT, Yarn in the garden for tying up plants last all year. Glad you like them! I do want to get more "cooking" up the big issue for is me, I go into the garden, pick things, and come in and make a meal...no real recipe, just toss it all together, and that's it, so cooking with me would be very different. I should just do it, maybe that would create ideas on how to toss things together with what is available that day... Let me tell you, it is surprise on how many papayas we get these days, and the dogs love it too. It was not all that long ago, when we were buying them from the store, well, that is how these all got here, from my compost in place method...Thanks, take care, Robbie

    This may be silly to ask, but how long did it take for you to get to where you are at in your gardens? My dad is kind of a green thumb and has been trying to figure out the best possible way to get his garden to grow for the best possible harvest. The latest project was a greenhouse so that we might be able to have a garden all year long even during the winter time. I’m in southern Utah so it snows here and cold obviously wouldn’t be good in a garden. Ha ha. He’s also been working on fish barrels for fertilizer for the garden so it’ll be interesting to see how that goes. Anyway, it all looks AMAZING. Keep up the good work. :)

    How do you deal with sun as I see there is no issue with flowering and setting fruits . 👍

    • @RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy
      @RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy  4 года назад +2

      The plants need sun, it is the heat that can be an issue if it is very hot, so far so good. On very hot days, I make sure to water all the plants early in the morning, not during heat of the day, which can damage the plants, Thanks, take care, Robbie

    Sadly, a person who was a brother to my friend, had a deer,who he considered a real friend, as it was always friendly,when it came up to his back yard, but even though it was not rutting season,the man was attacked and killed by this normally friendly deer, deer, even after he had known it, for a long time. .....Please be careful as wild animals are wild animals, (and the deer might have gotten sick or something,there is no telling).... and it might not happen often, once is enough is more than enough if a life is lost, and then the deer was killed,so it would not happen again.... so please just be careful.
    ...Deer are quicker than you could ever be.

      Oh my goodness, I am so sorry to hear about that man...I will be more careful, as they are big and strong, and the idea he bounced in front of me, he was letting me know he was in-charge of his herd, Thanks, take care, Robbie

      I usually water in the evening, though morning is better, but I seem to busy doing other things in the morning, so I end up doing it in the early evening, Thanks, take care, Robbie

    This may be a dumb question; but, why do you have lights in some areas?

    • @RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy
      @RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy  4 года назад +1

      No questions is dumb...Lights? I think you are asking about the little Solar Light bulbs I have hanging in the garden here and there, I picked them up at the dollar store, just for fun, Thanks, take care, Robbie

      We are in the city, so lets just say, it is a very large yard, but we have lots of trees, and many places we can not grow a garden due to the roots, but in those areas, Totes work perfect, (and better anyways), thanks so much, Robbie

    How do I start zucchini when there are no seeds? I'm in the IE. Please help.

    • @RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy
      @RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy  4 года назад +1

      You need seeds to grow zucchini, but many here come up from the compost in place from the seeds of the squash we have eaten, thanks, Robbie

      @@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy Omg. Then what do I do? The seeds have been hoarded already. And the stores can't restock because the warehouses are still closed. Smh

      Spicey Ky She just told you. go to the market. buy the oldest looking zucchinis you can find and try growing the seeds. if you let the seeds dry a bit, it is easy to see which seeds might be good - those bad ones will be very thin compared to any good ones.

      In Ireland you may have to buy some at the Market and scoop out seeds. Let dry on paper towels and then plant them
