I love what you said about being gluten free. I have Multiple Sclerosis. None of my doctors have ever talked about diet helping. I recently found RUclips videos with Dr. Terry Wahl who herself has MS and researched diet for helping people with autoimmune diseases. No processed foods. No sugar or gluten. Nine cups or more of dark green leafy vegetables, sulfur veggies like cabbage and onions and colored veggies like beets and carrots. And spices like turmeric and ginger. So I am starting a new way of eating and trying to grow some of my own food. Haven't done so well yet but now I am watching your methods. I live in Michigan so can only grow in the summer and fall but if I can grow enough to freeze some I could do it. Organic food is too expensive for me. Finances are especially tight. I live alone. But I have a bit of land and I think I will try your methods. Thank you so very much for your help. I also have birds. Hummingbirds, Baltimore Orioles, robins, cardinals, chicadees, red wing black birds and so many others. And I too have my coffee outside on the deck and enjoy them. I can't believe I found your channel. Makes me feel so hopeful. Thank you.

I agree Robby. I love the au' natural look also. Im also big on letting natural plants grow that others consider weeds. Heck if a person doesnt grow daisys then a daisy is a weed to them. It feeds the native animals. I have a few humming birds. Since moving here 4 yrs ago we have gone from no birds to many. I have verdin, cactus wrens, crow, black birds, house sparrows, house finches and have even had a small owl.
I also get saguaro lizards. They lay eggs every year in the dens under my garden. :)

Oh Robbie this was so enjoyable!! Thank you for all the time invested in sharing your world!! I prefer a forest looking garden than an organized garden myself 😀
My zucchini and tomatoes here in Ontario Canada are growing so well thanks to you! I use your bird seed recommended mix and get a yard full of different birds. . The occasional black bears too!! ( gorgeous animals). Yes I remember Romper Room!!! 🍃⚘🍃

      @RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy  4 года назад +3

Yes, Romper Room was a franchised show, so each local area could produce their own version, so it was different all over North American, what fun you had it too. SO happy to hear you can grow zucchini and tomatoes with ease, and yes the birds really do love those seeds the best, and less waste too. Bears, cool, they here are up higher in the mountains, so none at our place. THANK YOU so much!!! Take care, Robbie

I love your videos. They are wonderfully fun, and you are a very enthusiastic happy gardener and bird lover. I love to garden, and I just bought a Hummingbird feeder when I saw I actually have some hummingbirds around. I was always told not to feed them because they would become dependent on the food and if you quit, they would die. It's nice to know that they have other foods and sources to go to, and that I am only supplementing their diet. As to your "wild" garden, I call my gardening style "organized chaos," so I get it! I am encouraged to go back to growing my own veggies, after watching your videos. I had given up for quite some time, because of time and because my garden soil wore out. You teach that composting is easy and affordable, and I have plenty of leaves, and shredded paper to work with. I can't wait to make a couple of solar fountains as well. Keep the videos coming, and Thank you!

I took a picture I wanted to show you, but I don’t think I can. Your videos have inspired us so much we bought a hummingbird feeder today. We live in rural Oregon literally on McKenzie HWy. so we bought a 3 dollar stake with a hook that is about 4 feet tall, so the hummingbird feeder is not far from the ground. The reason we did this, is because I would be gardening, and they would randomly fly around my head and it sounded like a helicopter!!!!! Will they come if the bird feeder is close to the ground? Thank you, we love ❤️ your channel.

Wow, that's amazing. We have starlings here. I know for certain they will lay in cardinal nests because I saw one being fed. This year I found an egg on my front step made of concrete. It had rained the night before and was much cooler so I was certain it wasn't viable. I have no idea how it got there and there was no sign of a nest anywhere.
@27:22 what kind of squirrel is that?

On that egg, either a bird just laid it, or another bird took it out of a nest and dropped it, eggs do get carried and moved around by other animals. So cool on the starlings!!! Love it!!! That was a ground squirrel, and what was odd is that it climbed up that bush, and normally the really do not climb, but he was determine to eat part of that tobacco plant, maybe he is addicted to that plant? A new toy for BOBBIE to play with and put her genius imagination toward that's also a good safety gadget to put on pokey stuff is those hard plastic practice golf balls - or "softballs", if it's a bigger stake or stick. They already have holes all over them so all you'd have to do is enlarge a hole that's already there! Pop it on the stake or stick or whatever and you're good to go. Although...I'm not sure what the birds might do...it's possible they could get it off the stick and take it to play with, I suppose. I use them indoors as I have wall hooks low on the wall and use them on those so I don't put an eye out bending over and stuff. But the hooks have little ball ends so I keep the holes in the balls just small enough so that they actually "snap" on. A bird probably wouldn't get that off. They're also called "wiffle balls". They're not soft but they're round rather than pokey. You could probably also use ping pong balls but I don't know how long they would last. The wiffle balls will just last and last. Plus, there must be a hundred fun other uses for them! Plus, they're CHEAP! And you can get them in rainbow colors!!

Ah Romper Room with Mary Ann, My son was also on Romper Room. Many times when they needed an extra quick Danny was able to be on. He won first place on drawing a picture for the LA Zoo. Many cakes and shows and many special memories we think of her often. Maybe our two children were on the same show. Been trying to find her but have not yet. They took off Romper Room for Seasame Street, claiming only whites kids was on the show, not her fault. We all signed up so it was open to all. Was not happy with Sesame Street for a long time....only to work with their PEP out reach program for many years. Who would of guessed! I live in a moblie home park and can not have large trees etc. Breaks my heart not to live nature as I use to. Going to try the hummingbird feeders. Any suggestion on a small garden for us in a park? New to the show and love it.

Hi Robbie! I love to watch all your videos they are all so interesting and educational. I love the way you compost in place and just plant any seeds from your pocket to grow anywhere in a mixed pot. I am doing the same now and find the plants are so happy.
Please could you say if your green drinks are made with coconut water?
Here in the NW UK. My greens are being devoured by slugs and snails after all the rain. I wish we got more dry sunny weather like you enjoy.
I love to watch your birds and water fountains. XX

I use lots of different greens collected around the garden, maybe one day I will test out my little hero camera to gather that up, I tried my camera glasses one day, but some people did not like the video, too shaky. I have not used coconut water, but that would be perfect and fine to use. As far as the snails...maybe TULLE netting, that can work for some, thanks so much, Robbie

Put the tulle on asap after planting BEFORE the slugs & snails & roly pollies crawl in & snap on tightly with clothes pins or metallic clips

Mosquitoes don't lay eggs in running water. It is only the water that sits around and does not move like when people leave water in old tires or buckets.

You don't have a donation link to help? I would like to send a few dollars here & there for sugar/ food for the birds. I'm sure others would too.
