Your gardens really revived after that nice rain and the heat getting more tolerable!! We just love watching your gardening efforts. Tell Gary how proud we are he's already spread all those wood chips!!
😅😅😅
love the tours and seeing Zoe is my favorite 🥰🥰 cause Yorkies are my heart they are so special
I bought watermelon seeds from the feed store near where I live. They were covered in something that was supposed to help them grow. It was powdery but stuck to each seed. I thought that the seeds would be better but they weren’t. I never got a single watermelon. The first year, I got beautiful long healthy vines and nice flowers and small fruit. The problem was that the fruit wouldn’t grow and it would die and fall off of the vine. So the next year the vines were meh! Got a couple of flowers but nothing turned into fruit. I ended up throwing what was left in the pack into my garden area this year just willy nilly. Nothing germinated! Whatever was on the seeds when I bought them wasn’t meant for a home grower. Loved seeing you garden and all of your cool plants! It was just soooo hot and dry here in Texas this summer that many of my plants and some of our younger trees died. When you’re dealing with 107 everyday and no rain, it’s almost impossible to get good results. I will say my okra is still going strong but I think they like this kind of weather. Since it’s finally calmed down to low 90’s I’ve started thinking about my winter garden. I’ve already gotten some cauliflower, broccoli, red cabbage and green cabbages planted. Also trying to replace some of my herbs that didn’t make it. Thanks for the garden tour! Would love to how Gary’s garden is doing!
Love the garden tours. Thank you Robbie!❤️
I found a huge zucchini, just when I thought it was not bearing😁 my third planting from seed took forever to sprout, now it's a bit late! Watermelons, I got 2 softballs and 2 golfballs, I do not need huge watermelons anyway, small and sweet!
Me, too!! Hornworms!! I was so disappointed... Crazy fat ones!
If it’s any consolation, the moths are beautiful. But I totally understand your frustration ❤
Yessss me too. 9 Super fat ones🥔🐛😡
Have just started watching your youtube videos i am learning a lot thank you .
Thank you❤
Hornworms arggg I found a big one and a super small one. Arggg. Zoe Go!!! ❤❤her
Gary found some small ones yesterday, I sure miss my Orioles
One thing I like about gardening is that it's always an experiment. What works one or may not work the next. And visy versa 😊😂. Xxx ooo again thanks for sharing 🙏
This tour of your garden jungle is so much fun. 😊..What a treat. This is my first tour. I loved your chair garden and your bird garden. Your zinnias looked gorgeous. Lots of color.
How does Gary grow his Macadamia nuts? My husband wants to grow peanuts. Not sure southern Idaho is a good region. We'll have to check our western garden book for that, and I especially loved the very end of your video. Just watching nature, very calming. Until next time, have a blessed weekend. ❤️
❤you totally amuses me with the excitement you get everytime you take a garden tour 😂😂I love how passionate you get . I learn so much from you Beautiful natural gardener you an you husband keep up the great work 🎉🎉❤love an Blessings to you an your Family thank you ❤🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Yay! Happy Saturday!
Hi! Beautiful Day
You have added so many flowers to your beds. They look so pretty mixed in with all the green.
Hi, Robbie, I loved your tour. We finally broke the drought this week in Austin, TX! Yea!! A few days of rain after 3 months of dry is welcome. Now the toads and garden snakes and, well, everyone is happy! I have to be sure I keep a rock in shallow water dishes for insects to escape! I rescued some sort of dragon fly from a new birdbath this morning. I saw him struggling on the edge and put him on some kleenex to dry off and then into a safe planter from the wind. I hope he makes it! Anyway, thanks for rhe garden tour! I learned about walking onions FROM YOU! I am intrigued, did research, and just ordered some bulbs to grow from a lady who specializes in this particular plant, has lore galore on her website! But YOU are my mentor! 😊 And hello to that hardworking husband of yours! I moved a tiny fraction of what he moved in wood mulch and I know what a reward it is to see all that wonderful stuff on the pathways! We have muddy soil here and those wood chips are great in my shady backyard where no grass grows. I appreciate it so much! Thanks to the City for trimming trees near utility lines and they offered mulch so my landowner next to me accepted for all of neighbors. Nice! I get some when I have a minute and spread it on those parhways. Anyway....have a wonderful week! ❤ Your puppy is so sweet!
I’m jealous what kind of fig is that? I would like some cuttings 😊😂👩🌾♥️ thanks for sharing Robbie ♥️😊👩🌾
Wow I have to study this for more hints and ideas. I have to get lettuce and spinach going. Hope have enough time in 6b-7a, I really have to make my plans for coming season. Need to start a journal with all the knowledge you share. Great tour.
I love figs as well. Unfortunately, there are not many that grow in this zone. I was excited to see one I thought was lost last season and has made a comeback. I may try to wrap it for winter in hopes it survives. Have a good weekend.
Try Chicago Hardy Figs. Mine made it fine through the Polar Blast

@mountaincreekhomestead5113 Thank you. Will try those.
Yup. I bought mini roses at 99 Cents store for 99cents. years back. Now they are 3-5 dollars a pot.
Very true 😊
I enjoyed this video- thanks. I always learn lots. 🙏👍🌻
Love your tours. I learn so much thanks
You are so welcome! thank you
My tumeric is doing great for the first time ever.
Hi Debbie, Wonderful ❤
Wish we kinda we live next door to each other. Your daughters channel is nice as well 😊 I love how so experimental you are. Next yr for me is herbs and tomatoe only. Lol .
If you lived next-door I’d put you to work🤣 Grow a little more, we will all work on it.
I lovedehydrating Malabar Spinach. I use in soup vhilly and fresh Also as the sre full of nutrient and thinked my doups. I put it in my food processor I put with eggs or even egg salad (green eggs and Ham) lol
Beautiful ❤
How about grow more turmeric and ginger in the front yard? Love the garden tour they are my favorite.
Lovely garden tour, Robbie! Really delish looking fig!😋
Hopefully, next year the weather will warm sooner and you'll have loads of watermelons!
I started growing food from the seeds of store purchased produce before I knew there are heirloom and hybrid plants. I've never gotten fruit or veg whose seeds wouldn't grow. Only one butternut reverted back to the pumpkin it was crossed with. I get some delish acorn, pumpkin, watermelon, kiss melons
, etc this way. It's always fun to see what I'll get.😃
Hey, to sweet Zoe! 💕
Go Zoe Go 😊😊😊😊what a sweetie 😘
😊
I am pretty sure the seedlings coming up in your rainbow garden are zinnas. I think I remember you picking a seed head and then scattering the seeds in your totes in one of your videos.
Go Zoie🙌🙌😁🥰
Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊
Thank you! 😊
my ground is so hard that neither of the auger bits for the drill will go past maybe 3" before the drill squawks.
Our weather has been bat S crazy too. All summer, triple digits or very close to it..two weeks ago, low to mid 90s..this week, low to mid 80s and finally some 60s at night.
It's changing so fast, I have a feeling it's going to be another early freeze year..which means another..blankets on,,blankets off, fall and winter.
Add water and wait 1/2 hour.
Need electric drill, battery drill gonna broke😢
Here’s what I do, if I’m going in the hard soil, I drill gently as far as it will go and then I add water to it and come back to it later or tomorrow it will work. And I am using a battery operated cheap drill. Gary’s using a better battery operated drill and he has no problems at all.
I have a lot of Grasshoppers eating my tomato plant, don’t know what to spray or shouldn’t. Thank you Robbie any tips will be appreciated 😊👩🌾♥️ take care and your new little one 🐶 ♥️🙏🏻 where do you get turmeric cuz I can’t grow them from grocery. They rot quickly 😔 thanks for any tips Robbie ♥️😊👩🌾
I love your garden I have a black I can’t even grow black eye Susan and there native to Maryland go figure
Give the gourds to a food bank or soup kitchen
I had soil that I purchased that was no good. I put it in areas away from my plants where I do not want weeds growing. A few weeds or grass will come up but few and slow. This was an organic potting soil that I have since found out was purchased by a large corporation.
What kind of light bulbs do you use in Gary's propagation room, please 💚🌿💚
Nice puppy, think I'll be growing tumeric Robbie. Do you get them on line or store bought?😊
Last year we planted watermelon from seeds. We ended up with 10 plants. And Im guessing maybe 50 watermelons grew to be about the size you just showed. We ate one that small and it was so good. But tried to let them grow bigger. They all turned black!
Someone told us it was from our pine tree. That it was too acidic. So we cut it down ,Im not sure how long it takes to get the acid out of the soil. Nothing grows well anymore. Maybe its my soil?
That’s an easy fix, look at how I garden in container gardening you’ll be able to grow all the watermelon you want or anything else
Love the back of the garden view. 😊 Do you know the name of that thornless rose?? I really like the polka dot plants.
I don’t know anything about the rose, there was no tag it’s just completely thornless and the flowers remind me of a popsicle that I used to eat as a kid, the color is a blend of pink and orange and red
@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy it is beautiful!!
❤
❤️
My ginger. Urned up and Tumeric struggling phx az area
Robbie, do you ever do in person tours from your gardens??
Hi Robbie how are you guys love your new pup, do you need more than 1 fig tree to get fruit? Thanks
I’m gonna do a short video on fig tree soon and how I grow all mine, but no, you only need one. And Zoe is doing great and keeping us very busy. Thanks so much.
Robbie, on this video in the third minute you have some "Hoops" in your Watermelon tub. What are these hoops? Where did you get them? Great Work!!
Is it to late to start ginger and turmeric? I missed it if you said it. Needed motivation today and as usual you provided
Thanks 😊
That will depend on your weather. If your nights are still above 60, you can start it and keep it in the sun. If your daytime is over 80 you want to only have it get morning and afternoon sun. Keep in mind, ginger and turmeric like heat, but you can sometimes started in the house.
Do you have any tips for cold zone gardening? I’m in Minnesota.
That would also depend on how cold you are, you may be able to set up a small type greenhouse. You might be able to grow certain things on your windowsill or in the house. I can grow walking onions in the house I have mushroom plants and different herbs like mint you can grow on your windowsill. It would depend on how big your yard is and what you are capable of setting up. ❤
Plus flowers. Lol. Z🎉zz out
😊
Aloha, Robbie! Happy mid-September from the PNW! 🌺Minute marker 49:04, might that plant growing by your downspout be a "Spiraea"? It looks like one I found at a garden shop (on clearance, of course!). It dies off, then springs back. I guess it can't make up its mind just exactly what it wants to do! lol!😄One thing though, I am leaving it in a pot; it might take a "yard" (pun intended!) if I give it an inch! 🤣
Question can you use coffee grounds in making compost ??
Robbie what does Dragon Fruit taste like? My friend and I are very curious.
Do you give what you grow to soup kitchen or a food pantry s
I have turmeric and ginger but not doing good, do you think it needs fertilizer or need more dirt or shade or stop watering, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong 😔👩🌾🤦🏻♀️ thanks Robbie but the good news is my walking onions are great 👩🌾😊♥️
Thank you. Bless you and yours. Was that a strawberry fig? I tried to order one, but couldn't find it. Do you still have the mushroom herb? I haven''t seen the curry planr?
Bad year for watermelon here too, & yellow crookneck squash. Here in the Central Valley.
Thank you for your tour!
My friend Nick Fedoroff told me the same thing on his crookneck squash. It has been a hard year for certain plants due to the nights being so damp and cool. Who knows next year could be fabulous.
Last year I tried center cut squash for the first time and I mean to tell you I think I pick close to 200 squash. And Our yellow crookneck squash did OK but the year before that oh my my yellow squash did wonderful huge leaves bumper crop. You just never know what each year will bring it’s almost like we are just waiting for our treasures! 🌽🎊🍅🫑🌶❤️
Did you grow Malabar spinach from seeds
Can you grow garlic in those 18 gallon totes? I tried last year and nothing came up. They just vanish disintegrated.
My question is about purple collards. I ordered some purple collards from Etsy I put them in the dirt they are putting out leaves but I don't see any roots.... can you tell me what I am doing wrong. Should I be concern that in one month the no roots but new leaves?
Robbie can root my pineapple sage.
Yes, thanks
Why not just compost the fig leaf gourd? If it's a gourd why not let them dry out and use them to make bird houses for the bird garden?
What is the birdcage thing with the plate in it?
That is another feeding station for the birds, this way the birds can go in, but no hawks can get them
How many tree collards do u recommend per tote ?
Oh that was an awesome garden tour ❣️🌟❣️ loved it ❤️
Our weather too is cold in the morning and hot during the day. Due to this weather I'm getting powdery mildew.
I've planted some lettuce, broccoli, kale. I'm still getting cucumbers, tomatoes and zucchinis 🤗 but I think the weather is not good enough for them and soon will stop producing...i will see....
Everything in your gardens is growing beautifully.
Some of my ginger I think are dying back...my turmeric is growing....after the Daniel storm the weather is not so good all the time...
Still can't found walking onions here. I've checked the links you suggested but they don't ship in Greece 😢
Little princess Zoe is a sweety ❤️❤️❤️
I'm searching for a new job cause this job that I have is only till the end of September. It's so difficult to find a job here...but I'm not giving up 😊 its mire difficult when you are alone and you don't have anyone to help you get your kid to school etc.
Thank you so so much for the awesome garden tour ❣️ so much food growing in your beautiful paradise ❣️ so many blessings 🙏
Pls take care and be safe my friend ❤️ Thank you so much ❤❤❤
Do you have a video about how to offer water to blue jays ?
I have so many water fountains I make, the scrub jays/ Blue Jays come to all of my fountains, pick and make the one that works for you

I have a question Robbie, do you think I should remove my determinate tomato that is growing under he shade on flower bed, it’s not making anymore tomatoes and I made a mistake of pairing with yellow zucchini when you said not to pair them, cuz I watched your video and just found out from your video. I was thinking of planting lettuce cuz it’s shaded with my apricot and Asian pear trees maybe that would be better, you think? Thanks for your advice cuz I don’t have any ground I have all my vegggies in pots besides my 3 flower beds and 2 raised bed I made myself in front of the house which my husband doesn’t want me to do 😔, so the tomatoes aren’t doing well and so the yellow squash under shade tree. I didn’t get any cuz the shade. Thanks Robbie and Gary love you and little Zoe 🥰 🙏🏻♥️ have a wonderful Thanksgiving 🍁🦃♥️
The squash really needs full sun, tomatoes can get a bit less sun , but they need more sun than shade. Lettuce here does great for me in the shade, due to the warmer weather. Just keep trying different things to see what works best in your yard 😊❤️
Robbie, If possible may I get cutting from your dragon fruit for my niece/ god daugther ?❤
Last😂
0>😳
Is your fig tree in the ground or a tote?
The fig trees are in the ground
So you have a creek or pond on your property?
Not no more with all the mulch they brought in.😂
No, but that would have been nice 😊
Grow some yacons robbie
I think Gary does ❤
❤️
