Dominique Pelicot and 50 other men are currently on trial for what they did to her, an unprecedented trial taking place in France, where the police were able to track these perpetrators down from Dominique's computer and phone folders, which contained over 20 000 images and videos. The trial started on September 2nd, 2024 and will be taking place until Christmas. If convicted, each defendant faces up to 20 years in prison.

@@carricowherd3826 he is involved in several rapes and other crimes before raping his own wife. He was doing this to her up to and even after he was caught upskirting (until the analysis of phone and computer showed the crimes and he was jailed).
I have a question then...was she taking Lorazepam over and above what she was being roofied with? If so, what was she being roofied with and where did that pharmaceutical supply come from? The local pharmacy? Black market? I hope they track that info down... that's a lot of product! You're awesome, Gisela! It is sad just how many times the "nice guy" is really a monster. My dad was like that. Everybody would say he was such a lovely man. Little did they know what he was doing to me when I was a child of 6 or 7 years old. Thank you Gisela for all you do to bring awareness to these monsters. I am now 70 years old and am still suffering every day because of what happened.

This is unimaginably horrific
This one is so tough and very triggering. But Gisele is very brave and so inspirational for ALL women over the entire world, not just France. For sure, my hero. Gives me the courage to keep holding my head up high. I’m sending so much love and support to her and her children. Yes shame on those men and shame on her husband. It’s time we shift the blame to where it has always belonged and that’s on the perps 💯. I hope she sees full justice.

This so beyond horrific. To think that the husband and the other willing men thought that this is okay is just beyond comprehension. Gisele is amazing and I love that she has been strong enough to expose them in court. Very interested in their sentencing.
They knew it wasn't. These types just lie and minimize. In this case their lie just made it worse for them.

This case and the one in India where a doctor was rap3d and murdered by colleagues are absolutely horrific. It's so sad that women are being attacked like it's the 3rd century - still.

So the 50 devients only face 20 year sentences. Some of them have given her STD and others HIV all of which could be life theeatening ! The actions led her to consider taking her own life. They deserve far harsher sentences. My heart goes out to her and her daughter.❤❤
I believe she was exposed to HIV six times by the SAME man. And her husband knew from the first time this man had HIV.
@@BettyDuguid I know there’s cases in the US, where people who had sexual encounters w/ HIV, w/o protection, got attempted murder charges. Idkh this doesn’t apply in this case. Whether she contracted it, or not, they should still be charged w/ attempted murder.
She has two lovely sons too. Devastating for them also.
I bet if the victim was a man the sentencing would be harsher. I feel a lot of this points to how women are still disrespected and devalued by many men and institutios and systems that are primarily run by men. It's disgraceful. Things need to change. There really isn't. I was married 23 years and thought I knew everything there was to know about mine. The good and the bad. Of course I could finish his sentences and often knew what he was going to say before he said it. However I was still shocked to my core when we split and I realized the depths of his depravity, cruelness and coldness. The last two even towards our own children. It was as if everything I knew about him was a lie and the 23 years we spent together was all total bs. It blew me away and still does over ten years later. It made me realize that we truly never know ANYONE and what they are capable of. It truly effs with your trust in humanity is a whole.
Like how can you truly know what someone is capable of and what they do when you aren't looking? And I wasn't a naive wife either. I was pretty diligent keeping tabs because I didn't want to be one of "those" women who were cheated on and didn't see the signs lol. Shame on me because I sure was. But he was very good at that acronym that she used near the beginning. Where when questioned he attacked and made you doubt your own mind. Sometimes I really wish I was attracted to women lol. But then I realize they are probably just as likely to do the same things.

This case is just sick. After hearing that Giselle had an affair at one point, it made me wonder if he did this out of revenge. The other men who participated are equally disgusting and their excuses ("I thought I had permission since the husband said it was ok...") are just mind blowing. Predators, all of them.

I don't know. That's pretty extreme. I feel like there was a plethora of things that led to this. He was allegedly also sa'd by someone when he was younger, right? Also, it's not like just revenge for cheating would also make him want to be with men and all of the other things going on. He is just a very sick and disturbed person and probably has been most of his life.

Gisela…. I’m 22:31min into this presentation,,,, I exaggerate not when I tell you I just vomited from hearing what horrible things this pucker and puckers did to Gisele. Never, would have thought a partner of 50yrs could do this, nor the 72 community members to a helpless, drugged woman. What is going on in this world? What a brave woman, I applaud her for standing up and shaming all those men... Just imagine the whole village and especially the wives of those men must be reeling in shock.

One of the men was even their neighbor... He met some of them off the website he was using. He even started to train another man to do the same with his wife. Some of those men are saying they did it and they thought she was playing games and pretending to be asleep. Victim shaming over and over.
