Huge mistake at 7:17 TX stabs are absolutely useable in a gummy o-ring board, it's the staebies that typically aren't compatible. Can't believe chat caught it before me LMAO
I just wanted to share my experience with both tx stabs and staebies. I definitely agree that tx stabs feel faster and unrestricted. Staebies feels a bit sluggish the more the space bar goes further down. However staebies sounds so much nicer I’m willing to overlook the sluggishness
Watched this video probs 5 months ago and went with stabies. I don't regret it I have also used tx stabs amazing too but stabies stay rattle and tick free much longer I have been using stabies for 5 months-ish and they still hold up. Thanks for this informative video!
The 'Tolerances' on Staebies have to do with very little extra room in the housing and stem, which reduces wobble and tick. It also makes them very unaccepting of mods or thick lubes.
Staebies, TX v3's have become my new goto's, the gat ink stabilizers are really good to but only if you korean mod them, staebies and TX though are goated though with just some lube & dielectic grease they're prime. Also glad to be seeing more restock of the staebies
Picked up a few tx stabs a few weeks ago for a project revisit, good to know what to expect. Also I have a set of durock wires on deck just in case I decide for a 6.25 space. Site I bought mine from was out of them when I bought em. 🙂
One thing that a lot of videos about stabs don't mention (maybe I missed it) is the different mounting systems that these stabs use. These are NOT COMPATIBLE with all keyboards. Being the Noob I wasted money buying a set of Staebies and then a pair of TX Stabs (after I realised the Staebies didn't fit) only to realize my keyboard used plate mounted cherry stabs! 😅
great video and the reason why I'm buying Staebies rn LOL wanted to let you know that i'm hearing some kind of white noise in the background(high pitched/high hz sound, assuming this is from the mic bc I noticed it in another of your videos). could be me, lmk if you notice it too
thank you, and thanks for the heads up! Just curious, is it a specific part of the video or the entire video? I think it might be my compressor settings but i never was sper detailed about it, maybe its time LOL
also i just realized but my room is very close to the transformer for our solar panels- the whine can get so bad sometimes, I literally cover my ears at night sometimes :(
@@AnzelLmao damn hopefully fixing the compressor settings gets rid of it!! when you do the sponsor for PCBway i don't hear it, nor during the spacebar sound test; it's really apparent in the start of your jelly epoch video and subtly there throughout the rest of your video. when I was listening on my phone w/ airpods I didn't really notice it as much, but on my pc i'm using my sennheisers at a moderate/high volume if that helps
There are O ring boards which work fine with screw in stabs. The plate clearance just needs to be adjusted over the stabs so the O ring doesn't bind. Example: Maker Phantom.
Very helpful! I was considering both but am most likely choosing TX because of the availability. I do like the staebies sound and philosophy more but I also don't use GMK keycaps, so I'm questioning whether it will be compatible with my keycaps. Again, amazing video!
@@AnzelLmao Pulled the trigger an hour ago, decided to buy both haha.... Was going to buy switches but decided there was no point so figured mind as well just try both for myself.
Built a few keyboards and used different stabs but my current favourite are the staebies fantastic stabs just lubed will sound very good no need for holee mod
I finally got my hands on some staebies and just waiting for them to come in. Glad it’s not all hype! Congratulations on graduating, welcome to the medical field lol.
TX are so much better than the Durock V2s by far! I just don't know about the TX spacebar sound. Staebies sound pretty damn good in this video. But now I'm on the fence with Staebies as you mentioned TX feel better for gaming. I use my Sat 75 as a gaming keyboard and I need to smash that spacebar fast! Thanks for driving me more nuts! Great video btw!
@@AnzelLmao Maybe I could, but the problem is, I ordered from a shop in Singapore and I'm all the way in the US. I haven't installed them yet, so if they sound really bad once I install them, I'll probably email the vendor.
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but for me TX tick just as badly as Durock. I redid them about 4 times checking different spacebars, balancing wires, less lube, way more lube. Nothing worked for me
I've tried em and couldn't get rid of the rattle, unfortunately :( they remind me a loooot of c3 stabs. i personally would still take durocks or cherries over them tbh
How much lube did you put on the wire of the staebies? A thin coat or did you cover them in a thin layer where you can't quite see the wire but it's not egregious?
@@AnzelLmao I believe it was some generic pbt black on white keycaps off Aliexpress, I made sure the spacebar was straight tho. Durock with Holee mod worked great, TX, not so much. I feel like tx has a lot of "wiggle" compared to other stabs, both sets I got were similar in this regard. The 2u stabs were perfect though, TX have the best 2u stabs I've ever tried.
@@user-kz9rz8ui1c I think it might be your keycaps if that’s the case! It’s not just spacebar straightness, but stem fitment as well! I’ve had zero issues with tx stabs on any of my keycaps so far.

hahaha i was just exaggerating tbh, no shade thrown! Although i feel like having a poopoo spacebar wire kinda ruins the entire set, ngl. otherwise they're pretty solid!

staebies imo but both are really good!
Reverse lightning! Jump up let it hit you and reverse it on gennichiro, it's the coolest mechanic in the game and your just side stepping it...
I’m just a pure dark souls str player HAHA
If I need clip ins and go TX, could I use a Staebies wire if I have an extra one? I’m worried the tx wire is going to be warped
Perfectly viable! TX wires should be fine tho imo
Have you tried TX stabs with different wires? They only have 7U stabs in stock and Cannonkeys sells extra stab wires
should work just fine!
Yoooo def gonna cop these stabs for my sonnet also congrats on graduating nursing school bro👍

Which part do you lube on the Staebies V2? I only used 205g0 on the housing and wire and I can feel a little bit of tactility.
Same! I get friction but not tactility? Might have something funky in yours
