    Very in-depth review! Really appreciate the time taken to compare the top stabilizers in the market right now. In the lubed test, to my ears, it seemed that the tx stabs were actually deeper sounding but I guess in reality it is higher pitched.

    C3 v3 deserve more credit. Would have been nice to see them in the comparison.

    Why do all the spacebar stabs sound different on the left half of the spacebar vs the right half of the spacebar?

    That lubed Staebies spacebar sounds awfull to my ears. It's not in a case though and maybe it's due to some lubing variation but I'd swap them out if they sounded like that in my board.

    Why do I feel like Durock Stabs are a toss up ? Sometimes I order these and get wires that are so badly warped that no amount of hand bending fixes them and then they constantly have an annoying tick.

    Clip in stabs are better than screw in stabs lmao. Screw in stabs are a terrible solution to the problem they aim to solve. With plate-mounted stabs, I can just remove the keycap and tune the stabs, even removing them from the board if necessary. Screw in stabs would require me to disassemble the entire fucking board.
    We need more plate mounted stabs that use newer housing designs like TX Stabs and Staebies.

      You act like you are taking an engine apart. I’ve used 3 types of stabs and the steabis so far my fav and a little goes a long way in using krytox but like anything it’s preference

    Lol, is there anybody who doesn't tune their PCB stabs and install them at stock? I mean it is part of building custom keyboard, no thing such as install stabs at stock and hoping it sounds good as tuned one.

      its if youre lazy but you can have stabs sound the same as long as you have a straight wire and the same material housing.

    My TX v3 is suuuuper sluggish. I wouldn’t recommend it… even getting different wires, the return on it is just so slow (using duck switches) and of course they’re scratchy. This is my experience in stock form

    • @samgao
      @samgao Год назад

      @@hex.agon1 lube adds material to otherwise an uninhibited experience. After a lot of testing, it turns out that the factory wires on the zoom and/or the TX wires are too thick, adding excess friction to the stabilizer housing and the stem. Using the staebies and Durock mitigates this issue and creates a free roaming experience. Did a comparison between factory and lubed staebies r2.1 and tx 3.0
