    new favorite stab tuning video to send to others, thank you for covering often overlooked topics like "should the wire be oriented along the smaller or larger holes" that might seem obvious but can trip up newcomers

    I recently bought the Drop CTRL V2 barebones kit and was stuck on how to assemble the stabilizers. All vids I found were either going way to fast or the image was out of focus because of the small parts that I needed to look at.
    Think I know now where I went wrong, what I'm not sure of though is if need to place the wire south as you show on the PCB in this vid with only the enter key stab facing north for the wire.
    What a great hobby we have...

      @@coolieee My eyesight isn’t what it used to be. I have to get real close to see the details I’m afraid. 😔

    why use dialectic grease instead of krytox?

      It's thicker and wears in better over time/last longer without additional re-tuning

    Snagged some Mode stabs with my Sonnet order and I can't wait for everything to arrive! Do you guys have any particular preference for lubing the wire between dielectric grease and XHT-BDZ? Trying to look for the one that won't dry out quickly or whichever I don't have to top up as frequently.
    Thank you for the super solid guide too!

    Finally received my tempo today after over four months waiting and got to find out I was sent an incorrect pcb for it. How nice

    Got mine today. Can I use the lube to grease the stems? I was under the impression indidnt need to buy anything else?

      You can use the Krytox lubricant in place of the dielectric grease if you don't have any on hand

    Are these O-ring keyboard friendly?

    • @modekeyboards
      @modekeyboards  9 месяцев назад +1

      It will depend on your PCB - as mentioned in the video, O-ring mounted boards typically require PCB clip-in stabilizers

    Is this a promotion for bent stabs? If so, your space bar stab qualifies as acceptable so you have low standards and bad qc.

      Everything I’ve bought from has had no issues, and from what I’ve seen so far in this hobby is all stabs can have the same issue or more
