Do you happen to remember which video it was?

@@RelentlessSportsman it was the one where you emphasized hunting by water... so I started scouting by all the water we had on public...

Don’t confuse cherry trees with invasive buckthorn. Buckthorn grows abundantly in open areas of woodlands and is a real threat to native flora and wildlife. I’m wondering if some of the trees in this video is buckthorn.

I talked about this with a person who knows a ton about trees - someone who harvests local trees to make furniture, etc. and he was saying these small cherry trees.
You've got me really thinking now...

Another great video! I will be looking for these cherry trees next time I'm out.

Don’t bother as you won’t find any. They were probably scattered on his property long ago and just happened to thrive.

Good video and great tips once again! I just wonder are these berries truly cherries? Do they have pits? They don't look like any cherry trees we have here in Connecticut, and I have a sour cherry tree in my backyard. I must say that recently in the middle of town, right behind the RUGER headquarters in Southport, CT, two big does were feeding on berry clusters (much redder and fatter) right next to the New Haven, Metro North train tracks! I was so amazed that I took video footage with my iPhone.

Yes, they are cherries. These trees are wild cherry trees, much different from the cherries you're thinking of.
They're also called Prunus serotina, Wild Rum Cherries and black cherries.
