Thank you very much. Bought a used T530 - great quality, but the fan was noisy. Dissamblied it, bought a new fan, and replaced the old by the new (with some modifiction to the orginal heat pipe, because the new fan is bigger, than the original; and the new heat pipe hadn t the quality of the old one). Now it seems to work. Great thanks, without your video I think, I would be able to do this !!! 🙂 Greetings Christian
Thx for the great video! Didn't do the full disassembly (yet) when I realized how deep this rabbithole goes but I got to clean out a good chunk of dust already at least. :) Now while I'm at it, I'm gonna buy some thermal paste and replace that in the future as well.
Without and ssd is slow but with one is prety fast , the only real problem that i have at the moment is the 4 gb ram autocad need at least 4 gb and acrobat 2021 2gb so i have to upgrde to 12 gb its easy but i have to doit xD
Yes. Bought mine some years ago. Use it for CAD, rendering heavy animations and simulations (PhoenixFD in 3dsmax) and works great. It's faster than my newer Thinkpad P1 in several things, other than rendering thanks to the 6 core of the P1 vs the 4 core of the W530. Get the one with the fastest CPU and other than the GPU, which isn't bad, just not as fast and not as feature rich as newer GPU's, it's a very fast machine even in 2023. I plan to use mine for some more years to come.
Is the frame inside (that everything is mounted and assembled on) made of plastic or some kind of steel? HP has aluminum frame and we mount everything and assembly to this aluminium frame. This ThinkPad which one have? Steel or plastic?
hey buddy. this looks way too complicated. can I just remove the back cover to gain access to the adapter Port plugin? I just need to resolder the end of it which is probably broken from the motherboard.
@@highvoltage7947 hi there. I never saw this response for some reason. otherwise I would have received my disassemble sooner. so it'll be clear looks like I got it take apart the whole thing correctamundo?
Hi there again at 11 minutes and 30 seconds you pulled out some kind of a component which wasn't even inside of mine! drive.google.com/file/d/1iV6Y5QFiUYW4nTMdRZ8W3X1BdtaTqzX8/view?usp=drivesdk This is a great tutorial though, I got it all disassembled and hopefully when I change my adapter port, it will get power again.

bro im bouta install ptm7950 usin this #tech #tutorial. u know any more cooling #hacks? thinkin of applying copper tape
Damn, T530 is a BITCH to disassemble. There is no way I would've done it without your video!
Worth picking one up in 2022?

I bought a refubrished one in 2019 and been using it since.

Thank you very helpful
10/10 I change my thermal paste thanks for the video

Heatsink can be removed at minute 12, without disassemble other components?
yes

It's made of magnesium. It's called Magnesium Structure Frame 04w6902.

Unfortunately, you can't have to disassemble the whole laptop's office, that's the mind of an engineer from Lenovo
