My main drive is a 500GB SSD running Windows 7. I also removed the DVD drive and replaced it with a caddy with a 2TB hard disk for extra storage. I really love these old ThinkPads
Can you put a 2.5" SSD in the optical drive without MSATA? Is there a regular SATA connection? I have almost no idea what I'm doing but I did the ram and now I want more space.
Fantastic video, found this video while actually using my T530. Ordered the memory and BAM done and dusted. Went ahead and downloaded the free version of MEMtest86-usb and let that run to test the new memory installed. Thanks again

What are your system specs? My T 530 has intel i5 3230M,16 GB ram,128GB SSD boot drive,1 TB storage drive,Intel 4000 GPU , 128 GB sd card for my GTA 5install.

can you help me factory reset my t530? I can't access it since it has a windows admin password and I also can't seem to factory reset it it by going into troubleshooting options by pressing the shift button while restarting the device

that MSATA you used, can the thinkpad use the bigger versions of it? I see you used the 128gb version but can it take 512?
