How in the hell did the 1988 Donruss Gregg Jefferies not make the cut? Junk wax hero means you're supposed to represent that era 😆 Todd Van Poppel would also like a word with you.
I wasn't gonna click on this, because this topic doesn't interest me, but i just wanted to say how good your thumb nail pic for this video looks! Wow! Very eye catching! Good work!
I just don't know enough about vintage baseball cards. I could probably tell you the greats from the 50's rc's, I think Gibson was 59? Clemente 56? Aaron 54? Mays was 51? Mantle 51/52. I think Paige was 48? Kofax was 56? I don't know much about the early 60's baseball. I know Carew, Bench, Ryan, and Jackson are late 60's. Same with the 70's I can point out a Dave Winfield or Eddie Murray rookie, but couldn't tell you the year. I'm familiar with Ozzie, Young, Brett's RC. I know more from the 80's since it was my childhood.. I just don't know enough to have an opinion. I'm sure all the cards that I know are already in. My vote goes to the 1935 Lou Gehrig wheaties box card. It's low pop and started the craze of putting athletes on wheaties boxes.
It'll be hard with some of these picks because many of the greats already have a few in and with the max of 5 of any player, votes are precious. I see the hall of fame as iconic cards with several here that many have never heard of so hard to be iconic. My votes were very different for that reason
@JunkWaxHero yeah he mentioned it in his video with Chris. He didn't want it to be one sided towards a single player. He did say that he's been thinking of upping it to 8 since several players have a ton of great cards ( mantle, Williams, etc).
Great selections, Mike. I also voted for the Jordan Upper Deck, Walter Johnson Portrait, and Ted Williams 1941 Play Ball. But hope you are able to find the 41' Williams PlayBall, one to your liking, at the National!
Mike… ok… we need to talk. Here is how I recommend you vote. First, all Yankees. You know you want to. Next, the 34 Hank Greenberg, as it mentions Lou Gehrig on it. After that, you have to put in Tom Seaver. Finally, I guess you can include a Ted Williams if you must…. Seriously, I was a few off from you. Of course, The Mantle and Mariano are a must.
What do you think @mrjmangini thinks of my thumbnail?

Honestly, if the Jefferies had been a candidate I would’ve voted for it. Van Poppel wouldn’t have gotten my vote though.
Enjoyed it. I love the tip of the hat to the modern era (Jordan SP, Maddox RR) but would go more vintage on those 2.
I considered leaving Maddux out but not the Jordan. Too much nostalgia for me.

I appreciate that so much! I’ll have more info on these thumbnails soon as I’m testing out an artist for 10 thumbnails.
Learn something new every video. Thanks, Mike!
The new thumb nails are funny! You should try making Geoff Wilson faces- those are LEGENDARY.
I can’t bring myself to!

Interesting one!
You voted NO to the Cal Ripken Jr. Charlotte Os orange card? Just wait until Chris Sewell finds out!
lol I know
😂
lol I came here to say the same thing!
That will end the consecutive days friendship for sure
Well I can't agree with all your picks but that's the great thing about opinions.
Exactly!

I somehow missed the rule about a max of 5 of any player! That’s a wild rule and makes voting really difficult.

Tony Gwynn’s butt 😂.
lol I’m not wrong!

VERY low grade for me
@@JunkWaxHero But with great 👁appeal
New thumbnails, sponsorship, newsletters..... Your channel growing is a good watch! The Jordan was the only 100%, easiest yes for me.
Thanks Carl! Testing out the new thumbnails… having fun with it all still.
Gotta have more love for the o's no on brooks and cal. Come on good sir!
lol true. AL East foes 😂
The Chpper should go in because it is the Desert Shield card - replace the Maddux
I also love the 33 Jimmie Foxx
Yeah I can only pick 25% of the cards and there are a lot of great ones.
Very true - comes down to personal preference
Mike. I respect your picks but dismissing the 1983 topps or O-Pee-Chee Tony Gwynn card. Man!!! Come on now. 😮
I can't find the address where this HOF is located. I want to visit
I don’t think there’s a physical location
It has its own special place in Cooperstown. Have fun, Rock.
@@JunkWaxHero Oh, well, I don't live in fantasyland. Either someone needs to put up a building or stop this nonsense

Yes!
C. Sewell needs to sleep on his right side more often
What?
@@JunkWaxHero LOL, the hair on the left side always looks slept on
Nice Mike!
Thanks Warren!!
I am so impressed with the thumbnail, Geo...um, I mean Mike.
BLOCKED
🤣
Agreed on some. Definitely would’ve had Ichiro/Pujols and Bonds Tiffany
Cheers 🥂
